We were walking through the "I Love Lucy" museum at Universal Studios and I started to wonder if there's a Honeymooners museum anywhere? I've never heard of one but wasn't sure.

I was actually at the Lucy museum they have at the Universal Studios out in California a few years back. I think there's a bigger one up in Jamestown, NY, where Lucy was born. As for a Honeymooners museum, I don't think one exists...YET. ;)

Your right about there being a bigger I Love Lucy museum in Jamestown, NY.
They also have two big celebrations there every year to honor her accomplishments.

It really is nice. They do one celebration in may and one in august. If you end up going you'll definitely have a great time. Please share info with all of us if you decide to visit there. Check out the website for complete details. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go soon and I'll share info and pics with everyone here.

I wish they would make some sort of Honeymooners museum like that...there's plenty of room in Brooklyn. It'd be great to be able to see some of the original sets and stuff. I'd definitely like to check out the Lucy museum in Jamestown too, but it's pretty far upstate...as Jackie would say, it's "way out there." The one in California was nice though, pretty small, but definitely worth checking out. It's probably not much different from the one in Florida though, since their both part of Universal Studios.

I'd like to see the one in Cali because a few years back Lucy's daughter removed a few of Lucy's dresses (only 1 or 2) from the one here as she felt they weren't be cared for properly (totally understandable). My dad worked security at the time and had to escort her to several different places in the park and also had to help transport the dresses. I'm curious to see if they ended up in California. Maybe even Jamestown.

I agree I think they should put a museum in Brooklyn. I wonder if they are just concerned over the lack of demand for one? If one was put up I'm sure people would enjoy it..especially those in Brooklyn.

Wow! I forgot about the gift shop. One thing for sure is that they do have many beautiful Lucy-Desi items for sale. I have bought many things from there. Be prepared to bring lots of MULA!!!

The Jamestown museum is excellent. For us it makes a great weekend get-away, which I think may be coming time for us to have another one! Maybe I'll wait until Memorial Day!

Overall, I'm really impressed with Jamestown and the Lucy-Desi museum. I would like to see something done with all classic TV comedy to cover everyone, including Gleason. Maybe a Comedy Hall of Fame!
