This will come as no surprise-the Falcons are close to signing former Jaguars QB Byron Leftwich after Joey Harrington proved once again to be ineffective. With Michael Vick's indefinite suspension, the Falcons really had no quality backup QB to take over(Joey Harrington and Chris Redman), but Leftwich is as good as they come, and at the same time, he's really the team's best chance to save their season. Both the Falcons and Saints are winless in the NFC South at 0-2, while both the Bucs and the Panthers are standing at 1-1. If signing Byron Leftwich means saving the Falcons' season, may Arthur Blank go for it-he'll never regret it, because the team needs to really move on without Michael Vick.

Byron hasn't had a lot of in-game action over the last two years. However, if he can stay healthy, and learn the Atlanta system, I think this can work well for everyone.

Well Atlanta lost again yesterday to Carolina even though Joey Harrington had a good game. Byron Leftwich should start over Joey for the rest of the season.
