Why would you possibly want more Bonanza or Gunsmoke? We get it enough on TVLand. i dont...but it would get high ratings so the shows that didnt get high ratings could have a better chance at surviving....even though it would soon be Gunsmoke & Bonanza all night...

First, I'd get rid of the paid programming, that would be a great start.

I honestly don't think those 2 shows would do well on the network. They don't blend in with the rest of the shows.

I've been thinking of shows I'd like to see on ION, but it's a little harder than "wish lists" for other networks because ION's shows seem to be so different from each other. Designing Women, Mama's Family, Who's The Boss?, Perfect Strangers, The Wonder Years, Doc, Diagnosis Murder, etc. They all seem to be targeted towards different audiences.

I'll just go with shows from the 80's/late 80's I'd like to see on their channel:

227
Charles In Charge
Diff'rent Strokes
Doogie Howser; MD
The Facts Of Life
Family Ties
Growing Pains (bring it back!)
Head Of The Class
The Hogan Family
Murphy Brown
Punky Brewster
Silver Spoons (wasn't this supposed to come anyway?)

They all have 1 thing in common: all are eighties/early ninties hit shows. I think that's what they're trying to focus in on right now, hence the reason they removed older shows like Green Acres and Charlie's Angels.

Shows like The Wonder Years, Growing Pains, Facts of Life, Family Ties, Head of the Class, and Silver Spoons all are similar because they're mainly targeted toward a younger audience. Then shows like Mama's Family, Murphy Brown, and Designing Women are geared towards a female demographic. They just have to choose what timeslots to put what shows together. For example, airing Murphy Brown at 8pm and The Wonder Years at 8:30 makes no sense at all-LOL

I would probably add ALF, 7th Heaven, and Gimme A Break!

Yeah, I realized that too. But like you said about Murphy and The Wonder Years, that just doesn't make sense. I think that may have been a problem with Nick at Nite as well. They would air Roseanne at 11:00, Murphy at 11:30, and I think The Fresh Prince at 12:00am. It was odd.

yeah, but Roseanne and Murphy went together. I mean, it's better pairing up Murphy with Roseanne, rather than with The Cosby Show or Full House. And, MB was definitely not a good lead in for Fresh Prince. That didn't go at all.

When TVland aired the show back in summer of 2006, they aired at 10 and 10:30 for awhile. But at 9pm was Good Times and 11pm was The Jeffersons. Why would they put MB inbetween GT and TJ?

That's why I'm not sure MB would be a good choice for ION. Nonetheless, at this point, it's the show I want to come to ION the most, but I'm not sure if it would be a real ratings winner.

Hmm...

A few things...

bring BattleStar Galactica back, Silver Spoons (definately), it would be nice to see Alf again, Punky Brewster, I agree would be neat to see on TV again. How about Mary Tyler Moore?

I think 7th Heaven is good where it is now (on abcfamily). I think Alf will be good on ION though. And I can't believe I forgot Gimme A Break! Good call!

I agree, Murphy was fine alongside Rosey, but not with The Fresh Prince...And I didn't even realize TVLand had Nick at Nite on between Good Times and The Jeffersons. That's probably the worst scheduling I've ever heard of!

I think if Murphy Brown was to come to ION, it would be best if it were on at10:00pm, with Designing Women at 10:30pm, to close out the night. This way, both shows wouldn't really be linked with the traditional family sitcoms on ION.
