I am impressed with the Browns. They are one of those teams that will lose big one week, and the next week, they will win big. But at the same time, they know the Bengals pretty well, and always play them tough.

I agree with you, Shark, and I also agree with you, Cat. I don't like Chad Johnson-he always runs his mouth about his oponents and neglects to get himself ready for the upcoming game. And Cat, remember when I said that Marvin Harrison of the Colts, Hines Ward of the Steelers, Torry "Big Game" Holt of the Rams and Rod Smith of the Broncos are genuinely true future Football Hall of Famers? They really are, and it comes down to the historic numbers and records they either set or break. Chad Johnson is definitely not a future Hall of Famer, and his showboating and his calling out of opposing players, doesn't impress anyone. BTW, Shark, the defending World Champion Colts held off the Titans, 22-20, but it wasn't easy, especially with Vince Young's in-and-arounds and the Titans' O-Line protecting him. We did keep both Chris Brown and LenDale White under control for the most part, although White ran in a TD on us. They played us tough, but then again, what else would we expect from them, nowadays? The Steelers won their game, but I thought, Shark, you and Cat, should know at last count, J.T. Sullivan has the Lions leading the Vikings, 17-7, regionally speaking, of course. I'll check back in with you, later, Shark.

Very insightful comments, Dynomite. Chad Johnson and Michael SICK, to name a few, can't hold a candle to the true greats. Men like Otto Graham and the players who mentioned were CLASS ACTS.

That's very true, Cat. BTW, I thought I'd better pass this along: the Lions, unimpressively, beat the Vikings in Overtime, 20-17 on a Jason Hanson FG. Believe it or not, Jon Kitna returned to the game and drove the Lions down the field to eventual victory, but where was Tatum Bell's running game? Sure the Lions just won, but they need Tatum Bell to run the ball more, if they're going to have any chance to win more games. Well, to rap this up, I'm not sure if you can call our regional football fans spoiled this weekend, Cat, but the Colts and Steelers won as expected, the Browns managed to beat the Bengals and I've already explained about the Lions. Maybe we're spoiled because our region can be unofficially designated as "Football Country", if you can call it that. I'll see you later, Cat.

Cat, the Browns can go 2-1, next weekend-they face the winless Oakland Raiders, next. If the Browns, offensively, can repeat yesterday's performance with less errors, and at the same time, get their defensive game play together, expect 2-1 to become reality. Think about next weekend.

That's the Colts' motto, Cat, but it can work for the Browns, too. BTW, Shark, a message for the Browns as far as facing either the Ravens and the Patriots is concerned-don't fear either of them.

We don't worry about the Pats unless we have to. Just because they've loaded up on stars doesn't automatically make them this year's world champions-they have to get it done on the field. Don't forget, Shark, after the Yankees lost the World Series to the Marlins, they loaded up on stars, and what has it gotten them since the 2003 Fall Classic? Between very little and nothing(KO'd by the Red Sox in '04 ALCS as well as by both the Angels in '05 ALDS and the Tigers in the 2006 ALDS). Loading up on stars after losing to the one team you've been giving hell to for years in postseason play, is more often than not a losing proposition, and that looms true for the Yankees. BTW, Shark, the Pats also have to play the other team they've been giving fits to besides the Colts, namely the Steelers. So, on that note, I wouldn't worry about them unless I had to, and just because they loaded up on stars, that's still no cause for concern, because what difference does that really make, anyway? The Pats aren't unconquerable, Shark, so for now, let's not worry.

Let the Steelers beat a contender first before you put them in the same class as the Patriots and the Colts.

You needn't worry about whatever they said, Shark-it means nothing, anyway. If there are any Steelers fans around, please start chiming. I don't care what Sonny says, the Steelers can compete with the best of them. In our region, both the Colts and the Steelers are the real deal. Anyone who lives outside Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and western Pennsylvania wouldn't understand at all. Enough about them, do you agree, Shark, that both the Colts and Steelers are currently the real deal in our region(all due respect to the Browns, whom I believe, can beat the Raiders, next weekend)? Let me know.

^ He's right - this is the heart of football country. I will never forget the outcry once it was announced Modell was moving the team to Baltimore in 1995. He's so wimpy he's never dared show up in Cleveland again (at least, not to the general public's knowledge).

I live in western PA...Believe me I know how big the Steelers are around here. I just chose to wait to see if they beat some real good teams before I anoint them. . If they do that then I will say right here on SO that the steelers are back.
