M*A*S*H gets a bye here (w/the best overall record :-) - I'm not looking at hospital cases so much as doctor visits. (And I don't know if the "House Calls" doctors *had* offices, though maybe they wouldn't if they did general surgery, I only know about a few specialities some relatives are in.)
Some shows tend to ignore the fact characters would routinely be visited who don't appear - out of script, out of mind. (Feel free to copy that if it's original :-) One of the those groups is doctors. And when they called, they sre called, getting an appointment tends to be really easy.
Now, with adults, I can see a little more; we all know people who rarely see a doctor, even for a checkup, and are fine. But children do have pediatricians they see at least once a year.
What shows showed doctor visits in a normal, realistic manner; not getting in that day/next day necessarily, the doctor being used for advice, medical problems handled normally, etc.?
In the mists of my mind's antiquity, I remember a couple "All in the Family" situations with just a snapshot - Archie seen by a female doctor, and Edith having a lump in her breast, but nothing more; I would guess that show tried to make those realistic.
I don't recall that the Huxtables or a few other families I've seen *had* a pediatrician. "Full House" did pretty well on some points with the pediatrician when the kids were babies, though Stephanie seems to get in to see the eye specialist and get her glasses pretty fast. (Though I guess it could have been a week.) Her dad does call the pediatrician to see who they recommend when Steph's bothered by the earthquake.
