MikeLutton 09-14-2007, 07:29 PM i wish that go national like on all tbs u know that what i call a damms tbc schedule well of any kind
MLBonTBS 09-14-2007, 08:11 PM Nice schedule, I wish the station could be avaliable throughout the southeast or even nationwide, but I know most of those shows are under local contracts.
But, I'd take that line-up over TBS any day. I like the logo too, goes along with Peachtree Street; http://peachtreetv.com/
Any word about what station they will get in Canada? TBS or Peachtree TV?
DSfan 09-14-2007, 09:58 PM WOW! When I heard about this peachtree thing a while back i was like damn more king of queens, raymond and those syndicated shows that are overplayed. this cant be local, this is like nick at nite practically. sickk schedule. i hope in canada since i have the local now they dont get the national tbs because i need diffrent strokes in case those dvds never come out
Scoobiedoo30 09-15-2007, 12:59 AM that is an awsome schedule for WCPH TV 17
friendsfan77 09-15-2007, 02:47 PM I was worried that this changeover to WPCH would suck so bad. The mornings are really like old-school WTBS. The person from WATL/ch. 36 (MNTV) who e-mailed me back wasn't full of it when they said "check your local listings" for Temptation.
It also worked out great since WUPA/ch. 69 (CW) dropped Sanford & Son and The Jeffersons for A Different World.
And yeah, the new logo looks so much better than the mess we have now.
Scoobiedoo30 09-15-2007, 06:11 PM How long has WUPA aired Diffrent World Sanford And Son and The Jeffersons
friendsfan77 09-16-2007, 01:49 PM How long has WUPA aired Diffrent World Sanford And Son and The Jeffersons
they've both aired Sanford & Son and The Jeffersons off and on throught the past 8 years at least. Same with Good Times. ADW first came on WUPA not too long after WTBS removed it a few years ago. All of them have come and gone over time.
Scoobiedoo30 09-16-2007, 02:48 PM you Know I do not remember A Diffrent World being on WTBS
KrisMunroe 09-28-2007, 08:53 PM I guess Canadians will find out what feed we will get on Monday...either TBS or Peachtree TV. My cable channel has changed the name from TBS to WPCH and looks like the schedule is a Peachtree TV. Anyone else?
MikeLutton 09-28-2007, 09:57 PM guess we dont get it and it not fair i tell u i got tbs i got direct tv and live in pa area
DSfan 09-28-2007, 11:25 PM I'm hoping that I get WPCH. I'll turn the tv on and hope to see it since I leave my tv on tbs to boost up their ratings lol
KrisMunroe 09-29-2007, 12:10 AM Have you checked to see what your schedule shows for TBS/WPCH on Monday? I have WPCH schedule showing.
DSfan 09-29-2007, 09:46 AM I just checked on tvguide.ca and put in my area code. Of course it is listed as WTBS lol because they are slow at changing names but the peachtree shows are there so im very happy. also teletoon retro starts monday!
Corizzle 09-29-2007, 12:15 PM No Saved By the Bell? :( I hoped they would have had an hour of it. I hope we end up with TBS in Canada instead of Peachtree so I can get my SBTB fix
KrisMunroe 09-29-2007, 05:23 PM No Saved By the Bell? :( I hoped they would have had an hour of it. I hope we end up with TBS in Canada instead of Peachtree so I can get my SBTB fix
Exactly...no other channel carries Saved by the Bell in my area. That also includes Yes, Dear.
Heidi Dawn 09-30-2007, 03:55 PM My tv guide is showing the Peachtree lineup because we already have the Atlanta feed coming to Canada. I've been watching Diff'rent Strokes reruns since the summer on TBS.
DSfan 09-30-2007, 04:30 PM I wish there was a way to get both like you go to the channel, then it is tbs and you hold down a certain number on the remote and it changes to peachtree lol that would cool
friendsfan77 10-01-2007, 03:32 PM I just checked on tvguide.ca and put in my area code. Of course it is listed as WTBS lol because they are slow at changing names but the peachtree shows are there so im very happy. also teletoon retro starts monday!
I was up early this morning. I noticed that the changeover to Peachtree TV did not happen until 6:00 am ET.
Judging from a promo, it seems that the movies they're airing now aren't specificially comedies anymore. According to the short clips they've also got drama and action movies. They say "great movies every night." I like this since back in the day WTBS aired movies of more than one genre, and it really adds some more variety that the station IMHO desperately needed. I also noticed they even got one of the older WTBS announcers doing the promo shots.
Also, I've noticed now during the day, there's no more of that ugly splitscreening and starting the next show while the previous show's credits are still rolling.
This is how an independent television station should truly be. Other stations should take notes.
Bouzanie 10-01-2007, 04:18 PM I am so pleased that TBS is now Peachtree TV. They have an excellent line-up of sitcoms. I was so thrilled to see Sanford & Son and The Jeffersons on this morning. I was wanting for a station to play Sanford & Son. I'm so glad to see that the lame shows like "Saved by the Bell" to be taken out of the line-up. That show is way over played. I think Peachtree is a big improvement over TBS. I'll be watching that station all the time now!
friendsfan77 10-01-2007, 10:58 PM ^ My biggest problem with them airing SBTB was that it aired so frequently. I have always had fond memories of watching the show on WTBS growing up but I see no reason why this or any show nowadays should be airing 2 or even 3 hours a day. That's a real good way to take the fun out of the rerun experience.
