Checkers. I don't remember the rules of chess. Although, at the nearby mall, there is a gigantic chess board and giant pieces that I'm tempted to play.

I've never learned how to play either, but they look way too hard for me. Maybe someday I'll learn.

Checkers I'm not that good but at least I know how to play. My brothers know how to play chess but it's too confusing for me.

For those of you who have never played Chess, it is a very easy game to learn.

For myself, I find chess to be an exercise of frustration and I have not played anyone in years and do not enjoy playing a computer opponent. Like I said, learning the game is very easy, but mastering it is very difficult.

Checkers is OK, but my rule is that a player is not mandated to jump another player of that is the obvious move. Checkers is also a game of strategy and skill. Don’t underestimate that game at all. While it is more simplistic than Chess, there are similarities in strategy and skill set.

Not mentioned, but Connect Four is another fun game that uses checkers that utilizes some of the strategy of checkers and even chess because the idea is to connect four of the same color checkers in a row, and basically to win is to create two ways to win the other player cannot defend. Sort of like chess in this regard.

For those of you who have never played Chess, it is a very easy game to learn. I found a small chess game a few months ago (About 1.50MB) and put it in my games folder but I am no good at it :D

Learning to play chess is easy, learning to play WELL is a different story. lol

Same with Bridge! You can learn to play Bridge in 10 minutes, but learning to play well is....IMPOSSIBLE lol I've played Bridge for about 20 years, and still don't know what I'm doing lol I remember once an older Bridge player told me, "Well you'll NEVER figure it out!" lol

Definitely checkers. I'm not all that great with checkers. Even kids can beat me at checkers. Never even tried learning chess.

Same here. I'm lucky if I can even win a game of checkers. I tried to learn chess one time, but was like huh? Kind of too slow and seems boring to me even if I did learn how. I like fast paced games better. :)

I love playing Chess and am a seasoned player, but playing with computer chess game is really hard and almost impossible to beat. The computer analyze four, five or six chess moves ahead and play the best move accordingly. Novice chess player do not have such a analyzation.
