Hi everyone! Well I know were almost in May and it's not the Holidays, but this scribt idea came to me last Friday, so I thought what the heck and just wrote it now. Enjoy
Season #8 - A HOliday to Remember
SEASON # 8
IN THE SHOP OVER OUR HEADS………
(Jo and Blair are sitting down at a table talking. Natalie and Tootie enter the shop from the living room)
Tootie: Just one more week keep saying that your self just one more week
Jo: (looks up from the table at Tootie) What's she so excited about?
Natalie: (walks over to the table and sits down next to blair and jo) Oh she's just excited because in one week she and Jeff are flying home for Christmas
Blair: (smiling) Ah Christmas the most glorious time of the year
Tootie: ( walks over towards the table and sits down next to the others) I know everybody's always smiling and being so nice towards each other
Jo: (gives a little smile) Isn't it nice how everyone saves up there hate until after New Years (stands up and starts walking to the candy display)
Blair: (stands up and follows Jo puts her arm around her) your right the holidays are a magical time of year
Jo: (looks down at Blair's arm with an angry face) watch it
Blair: sorry (quickly removes her hand)
(Beverly Anne and Andy enter the shop carrying some bags)
Beverly Anne: Andy there's no point in arguing with me
Andy: But mom come on if you let me go skiing with Josh I'll never ask for another thing as long as I live (Beverly Anne and Andy set the bags down on the counter)
Natalie: (gets up from her chair and walks over towards the counter) quick Beverly Anne I'd take him up on that
Jo: yeah a chance like this doesn't come around every day
Beverly Anne: (turns towards Natalie and then towards jo) Thank you girls, (turns back towards Andy) Andy the answer is no. This is are first Christmas together as mother and son and were going to be together (pauses for a moment and hears her timer go off) oh the sugar cookies are done (smiles at Andy pats him on the back and heads off into the kitchen)
Blair: (has a worried look on her face) your baking cookies
Tootie: (quickly gets up from her chair) Uh oh we'd better go and make sure she doesn't' burn the house down
Beverly Anne: (stops when she reaches the door bewteen the shop and the house and turns back to the girls) You start on little fire and your marked for life
Jo: (jo gives a little laugh at Beverly Anne. A coustomer walks in and Jo stands up to greet him with a smile) Happy Holidays sir can I help you find something
Male Coustomer: (smiles back at Jo) no thanks I'm just looking
Jo: Ok if you need anything my name is Jo (walks over to the greeting cards display and helps a female coustomer Andy starts to pout and bangs his fist on the counter)
Natalie: (natalie walks over to Andy and puts her arm around him from confront) come on Andy stop moping. Your going to have a great Christmas
Andy: no I won't
Natalie: (takes her arm down) What are talking about I bet you going to get a lot of great gifts
Andy: Natalie there's only one gift I want for Christmas but I won't get it
Natalie: Andy come on Christmas is still a week away I'm sure…..
Andy: (cuts her off) Natalie I want to meet my mother
Natalie: What (asked a little shocked)
Andy: my real mother I never meant her
Natalie: Oh Andy (with understanding in her voice) I know how you feel
Andy: yeah, (getting a little angry) but you got to meet your real mother, I'll never get to meet mine (starts to walk towards the middle of the store and Natalie follows him they both sit down at a table)
Natalie: Don't say that Andy theres a lot of places that can help you
Andy: (turns towards Natalie with a little bit of hope in his eyes and voice) well how did you find your mother
Natalie: Andy it's kind of a long story, and I'll tell you just as soon as the shop closes.
(Tootie, Blair, and Beverly Anne enter the shop. Tootie and Blair are gagging and coughing on the cookies)
Blair: Oh God Beverly Anne those cookies are awful (cough, gag, gag, cough)
Jo: (walks over towards the counter with the cookies) come on your guys I'm sure there not that bad (takes a bit of a cookie chews for about 3 seconds graps a napkin from the counter and disposes of the cookie then she starts to gag) you know something (cough) this has got to be a first Blair and I are in total agreement
Beverly Anne: I think you girls are over reacting these cookies aren't that bad (takes a bit of a cookie and starts to gag on it) ……..your right there terrible. Andy dispose of these (hands the tray to Andy. Andy graps the tray and goes over to toss them away)
Natalie: (looks at her watch. Graps her purse from under the counter) Well I'm off Snake and I have a lunch date
Blair: (walks over towards Natalie) Natalie it's the holidays can't you for once stop this and just admit there isn't no Snake (puts her left hand on Natalie left shoulder)
Natalie: (gives a fake smile) Blair your right since this is the holiday season I'm not going to punch you out (her smile quickly fades) have a nice day
Jo: (male coustomer is still looking around and walks up to Jo) Are you still looking around sir
Male Coustomer: yes, but I was wondering if you could tell me where there's a payphone
Jo: There's one right outside the shop (points outside where the payphone is)
Male Coustomer: Thank you (just as he leaves Natalie rushes back inside)
Natalie: I forget my keys. (she goes out of the shop into the living room to get her keys and quickly comes back) Gosh I swear I think I'm losing it today
OUTSIDE INFRONT OF THE SHOP. MAN IS TALKING ON THE PHONE AND NATALIE IS TRYING TO BUTTON UP HER COAT)
Male Coustomer: yes can I please talk to Ellen Manheim (natalie suddenly looks up at him with questioned looked on her face) thank you very much
Beverly Anne: (natalie walks back into the shop and doesn't say a word) Natalie are you alright
Jo: (Jo and Beverly Anne walks up towards her) You look like you just seen a ghost
Beverly Anne: (they walk her over to a chair Beverly Anne helps her into the chair, but not all the way down) here let's sit her down over here. (quickly pulls her back up again) No wait maybe she should stand and I'll sit (takes a seat) (stands up) Ok will both stand.
Everyone else: Beverly Anne and Andy at the same time : Mom
Jo: (jo sits down at a chair next to Natalie and looks at her with concern on her face) Nat come on what is it
Natalie: (stutters out the words ) That man
Tootie: What man you mean the coustomer that just left
Jo: Natalie what about him
Natalie: I was outside buttoning up my coat and I over heard asking for the listing of Ellen Manheim
Blair: (shocked by what she just heards) Natalie isn't she your real mother
Natalie: (getting angry) yes! Why would that man want her number
Jo: (gives natalie a small smile) Maybe there old friends
Blair: (voice sounding like she's getting into her businesses) Maybe there more then friends (Blair gets up from the chair)
Jo: Blair (gets up from her chair and follow Blair) what are you getting at
Blair: (turns towards the others) nothing (pauses for a couple moments) I've stuck my nose in this situation before and I'm not going to do it again. I don't want to see you get hurt Natalie
Natalie: Blair what is it (Natalie stands up and Jo and Blair walk back towards the table)
Blair: (looks around at everyone pauses for a second) That man he maybe your real father
Natalie: (starts to breathe a little heavy) MY FATHER (Natalie takes a seat again)
Tootie: Oh Lord
(Beverly Anne walks over the the counter and pours Natalie a glass of water. She hads natalie the water)
Beverly Anne: Here Natalie drink this. (turns towards Blair) Blair what makes you so sure that man was Natalie's real father
Blair: Well I'm not sure but I think Natalie has a right to find out
Jo: Look Nat you don't have to make any decision's today just sleep on it
Andy: (phone rings from the other room) I'll get it (Andy leaves to answer it)
Male Customer: (tries to get his wife to leave) Um honey maybe we'd better come back later
Female Customer: Are you kidding this is more exciting then the Young and the Restless
Male Customer: come on (has to pull his wife out the door)
Andy: (Andy comes back inside) Natalie that was Snake on the phone
Natalie: Oh God (puts her hands on her cheeks for a second) I forget all about him I better get going (Natalie gets up from the table)
Blair: (sounding a little snobish) what a great trick
Natalie: Excuse me
Blair: getting the phone (points to the other room where the phone is) to ring and pretending to have Snake call I mean really Natalie (stands up and walks towards Natalie puts her hand on her hips) don't you think your carrying this whole Snake thing just a bit to far
Natalie: (looks at Blair with complete rage in her eyes. Screams) SHUT UP BLAIR I don't need this from you right now (natalie quickly leaves the shop. And everyone else turns towards Blair with angry faces)
*****************************
IN THE LIVING ROOM……..
later on that evening. Andy is sitting on the couch waiting for natalie to come home Beverly Anne comes down stairs)
Beverly Anne: Andy why are you still up (she sits down on the couch next to him)
Andy: I'm waiting for Natalie we were gonnea talk
Beverly Anne: Is it anything I can help you with
Andy: (GIVES HER A LITTLE SMILE) Thanks Mom but this is something I have to talk over with Natalie
Beverly Anne: Oh I see. (gives him a smile to show that she understands) Well I'm just going to bed now goodnight (gets up from the couch and heads back upstairs)
Andy: goodnight (natalie comes inside the room and Andy turns towards her)
Natalie: Andy what are you still doing up
Andy: (You said we could talk remember
Natalie: (sounding really confused and tried) What Oh gosh Andy could it wait till the morning (Natalie walks towards the stairs)
Andy: (has a little hurt in his voice) Good night Natalie (at the bottem of the stairs Natalie turns back to Andy. And starts walking towards him. Andy gets up from the couch and starts walking towards natalie)
Natalie: (they meet half way. Natalie places her arm around his shoulder and together they walk back over to the couch and sit down) when I was still at Eastland, I was offered a chance to write for the Peekskill Press, but my mom felt that I shouldn't have all that repsonsibly at my age. She wanted me to enjoy my free time
Andy: so what happened?
Natalie: We got into this huge agrument I told her that she didn't understand and that my real mother would
Andy: Wow (with shock in his voice)
Natalie: (pauses for a moment) Then a week later I received a letter from my mom. Inside the letter was the name of my real mother
Andy: (looks down at the ground and back up again )Ellen Manheim
Natalie: (almost whispers it) Right (her voice goes back to normal) and I finally got to meet her
Andy: did you ever go back to visit her again
Natalie: No I didn't. She was killed by a drunk driver 3 weeks later
Andy: I'm sorry Natalie (puts his hand on her shoulder for support)
Natalie: thanks, (gives him a smile to show that she understands) but I'm glad I got the chance to spend some time with her. She answered so many questions I had
Andy: (smiling to show her that he understands his smile quickly fades with his next question) but then how come that man was looking for your mother
Natalie: (his the same face of concern that Andy has) that's exactly what I've been wondering all night
Andy: Good night Natalie
Natalie: Night Andy (they both get up from the couch and head upstairs)
THE GIRLS BEDROOM………
(EVERYONE IS READY FOR BED AND LAYING ON THERE BED. Blair and jo are trying to sleep. Natalie enters the room and tootie sits up in her bed)
Tootie: so what are you going to do
Natalie: tootie I don't know (getting a little angry at her. She graps her night grown from under her pillow and goes into the bathroom)
Tootie: Ok Natalie's father I still can't believe it
Blair: Tootie it's late (sits up in her bed and gives her an angry look) can't we discuss this in the morning
Tootie: fine (lays back down in her bed) I wonder if Natalie has any other brothers or sisters (smiles as she ponders the question)
Jo: (getting angry she sits up and shots a look at tootie) tootie if I hear one more word from you I'm gonnea throw you out the window (points to the window)
Tootie: (quickly lays her head down and doesn't' say another word)
Blair: thank you (turns to jo)
(natalie enters the room again and goes to sit on her bed. She looks at Tootie and sees that she wants to talk)
Natalie: Tootie (smiling (will talk about it in the morning) goodnight
Tootie: Good night Natalie
Blair: night Natalie night Tootie
Jo: (raising her voice) oh would you give me a break here this isnt' the Walton's

The Next Morning around 11:00 in the living room Beverly Anne and Andy are trimming the tree
Beverly Anne/Andy: (singing while there trimming the tree and just having a good time) oh jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way (Tootie and Blair enter the room from the store and join them)
Beverly Anne/Andy/Tootie/and Blair: (singing) oh what fun it is it to ride in one horse open sleigh….
Jo: (jo cuts them off and enters carrying a leigh lift) Hey I'll be back later I got some last minute shopping to do (walks over to the closet and puts on her coat)
Beverly Anne: (everyone else continues to trim the tree) Ah come on Jo aren't you gonnea help decerated the tree and sing carols
Jo: (smiling) I'll only be one an hour. I want to get my dad a drill for Christmas and Orchard has them on Sale today (she leaves)
Beverly Anne: Don't you just love the holidays (Natalie comes downstairs)
Blair: yeah oh Natalie were decorting the tree wanna help
Natalie: No thanks (gives a little smile to show them that she's ok, but she still needs to work out her feeligns)
Tootie: I hope Natalie's gonnea be ok
Beverly Anne: I'm sure she'll be fine, it's just gonnea have to take some time (They all continue to decarate the tree and sing songs)

DOWN AT THE HARDWARE STORE…….
Jo: (jo walks town the isle where the drills are and spots the same man from yesterday at the shop) Oh hi it's nice to see you again
Man: (turns to Jo with a blank face) Partner me
Jo: You came into our shop yesterday (pauses for a moment) Over our Heads
Man: (pauses for a moment and then smiles) Oh that's right are you hear to get your husband a gift for Christmas
Jo: Husband (starts to laugh a little) Oh no no I'm not married yet. Acutally I'm getting my father a drill
Man: He's very lucky to have a daugher like you (smiles at Jo)
Jo: Ah (she smiles back at him) thanks Have a Merry Christmas
Man: Thank you same to you (Jo walks down the isle to where the drills or and the man continues stocking the shelves Jo looks at the drills, and she also looks over at the man wondering if he could possibly be natalie's father)

(BACK AT THE HOUSE THE SINGING AND TRIMMING OF THE TREE GOES ON)
Beverly Anne: So what should we sing now
Blair: How about rudolf
Tootie: Oh I love that song
Beverly Anne/Andy/Tootie/and Blair: Rudolf the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose and if you ever saw it
Jo: (cuts them off again and walks inside through the front door) You guys aren't gonnea believe who I saw down at the hard ware store
Tootie: (walks over towards her) that's amazing Jo you always know just when to come in and intrupte a song
Andy: (looks up from the tree and turns towards Jo) who was at the hard ware store
Jo: That guy who was in here yesterday (walking towards the tree and everyone else) The one who asked about Natalie's real mother
Blair: (looks at Jo) so did you tell him about Natalie
Jo: (sounding miffed) Oh right Blair what was I suppose to say to him this has to be Natalie's decision (natalie enters the room from the store)
Natalie: What has to be Natalie's decision
Blair: (turns towards Beverly Anne) Oh um Beverly Anne go ahead tell her
Beverly Anne: (looks at Blair) Oh no not me (quickly turns towards Andy) Andy you tell her
Andy: me I'm just a kid (Turns towards Tootie) Tootie you tell her you're her best friend
Tootie: and I want to say her best friend (looks at Jo) I think Jo should tell her after all she found out first
Beverly Anne/Blair/and Andy: that's good (they all are in agreement)
Beverly Anne: don't you guy agree (looks at Blair and Andy)
Blair: absoutly
Andy: totally agree
Natalie: I'm waiting (getting inpatient)
Jo: I'm thinking (hesiting on telling her. Jo walks over towards natalie)
Beverly Anne: (Beverly Anne walks over towards jo and natalie) Jo you'd better tell her
Jo: remember that man who was asking about your real mother the other day
Natalie: I'll never forget him
Jo: he works at the Hard ware store
Natalie: What (with slight shock in her voice)
Jo: yeah I just saw him when I was down there
Tootie: Natalie what are you gonnea do (Tootie walks over towards them)
Natalie: (starts to walk over to the other side of the room pauses for a moment and turn then turns back towards them) I'm not sure I mean all my life I dreamed what my real would be like and now I might actually meet him in person
Jo: (she walks over to natalie) Nat you don't have to do anything (gives her a smile) just hold on to the dreams you have about your father (she hug)
Natalie: Thanks Jo

TWO DAYS LATER……… Andy is sitting on a chair in the shop Beverly Anne enters the shop and sits down next to him)
Beverly Anne: well Andy you just be pretty excited tomorrow were flying to Appleton
Andy: yeah real excited (sounding disapointed)
Beverly Anne: Andy (says it with concern in her voice) I know this wasn't what you wanted for Christmas
Andy: Mom Appleton's fine
Beverly Anne: Well then what is
Andy: it's this whole thing with Natalie (pauses for a moment) I've been thinking about my real mother lately
Beverly Anne: Oh Andy I had no idea (says it with a hurtful voice and gets up from the chair)
Andy: Mom (gets up from the chair and walks over towards her) I don't wanna hurt your feelings
Beverly Anne: I know that Andy (she smiles to show him she understands) you have a lot of questions that only your birth mother can answer
Andy: do you think I'll ever get them answered
Beverly Anne: I'm not sure but if you ever do get the chance share your answers with me (she gives him a smile and a hug and she hugs right back with a smile) (Jo and Blair enter the shop. Blair is carrying a box) oh morning girls well the shop's closed now until after New Years
Blair: (she places the box down on the counter and opens it up and then takes the dress out to show everone) isn't this the cutest little dress you ever saw Baily's gonnea look like a mini me in in
Jo: poor kid washed up before she's 10 (blair just shoots her a look)
Natalie: (Natalie enters the shop) I'll see you guys later I'm gonnea go down to the hard ware store
Beverly Anne: Natalie are you sure that's a good idea
Natalie: No but it's something I gotta do (Natalie leaves)
Jo: I hope she gets the answers she wants
Blair: Me too (they all look at each other with concern on there faces)

JUST OUTSIDE THE HARDWARE STORE. NATALIE TAKES A DEEP BREATHE BEFORE ENTERING. AFTER A COUPLE MINUTES SHE FINALLY ENTERS THE STORE. SHE WALKS OVER TO WHERE THE DRILL WOULD BE HOPING TO SPOT THE MAN. SURE ENOUGH HE WAS OVER THE WORKING BEHIND THE COUNTER)
Male Worker: (natalie slowly walks down the isle towards him. She pauses for a moment infront of his counter) Hi can I help you find anything
Natalie: (pauses for just a second) no thank you
Male Worker: (smiling) Ok well if you need anything just let me know (natalie gives a little fake smile and walks over to the shelves and pretends to look at the drills) (the phone rings and he picks it up) this is Scott oh hi Ellen (natalie turns her attention towards him) …….. I tried calling you eariler, but your roommate said you were in class (natalie walks over towards him) …….ok your mother and I will be at the airport tonight to pick you up. (Natalie suddently stop dead in her tracks) (the man walks out from behind the counter and goes over to see if she's alright)
Male Worker: Are you alright miss
Natalie: (she looks at him just for a moment still confused. Suddenly she realizes what happened and she smiles like everything going to be alright) I'm just fine thanks you

LATER THAT EVENING……… in the living room everyone was sitting down Tootie answer the door and Jeff comes in
Tootie: Hi sweetie
Jeff: mmmm how's my honey (they kiss)
Tootie: Just fine (they walk through the door with his around her shoulder) , so what'd you get me for Christmas
Jeff: your going to have to just wait and find out
Beverly Anne: (Beverly Anne and Andy enter the room) Oh hi Jeff are you all ready to go
Jeff: Sure am. Tootie my mom's gonnea love you (Jeff and Tootie stand behind the couch)
Jo: Has natalie come back yet
Andy: I haven't seen her
Blair: (she looks out the window and sees Natalie walking up the walkway) oh here she comes now (natalie enters the room and all eyes are on her)
Jo: Well what happened
Natalie: (she smiles) everything ok
Tootie: Natalie are you sure did you get a chance to talk to him
Natalie: I didn't have to he get a call from his daughter Ellen Manheim
Beverly Anne: His daughter (almost sounding disapointed)
Natalie: yeah I guess she must be in college because he mentioned something about her roommate
Blair: (walking over towards her. Puts her arm around her shoulder) are you alright Natalie
Natalie: yeah I am because I have my family right here (Blair and Natalie hug. Everyone else looks at each other and they smile)
Andy: natalie I couldn't of said it better myself (natalie and Andy hug)
A COUPLE HOURS LATER…. Everyone is still in the living room except for Andy
(Jeff looks at his watch and then over to Tootie)
Jeff: Sweetie it's getting late, we'd better head on over to the airport
Blair: do you need a ride
Jeff: Thanks Blair that's nice of you (Jeff and Tootie stand up and walk over to the stairs and grap there suitcases)
Blair: Don't mention it just give me 5 dollars for the gas
Tootie: Blair (raises her voice)
Blair: Ah what the heck I'll give you a break since it's the holidays
Tootie: how sweet
Beverly Anne: (everyone walks over to where Jeff and Tootie are) Well I guess this is goodby
Blair: (with a tearful voice) Oh I hate goodbys
Jo: me too (puts her hand to her eye and starts to wipe)
Blair: jo is that a tear in your eye (puts her arm around her shoulder) Ah Jo I'm gonnea miss you too
Jo: (looks up at Blair) thanks Blair
Blair: (smiling) Well aren't you gonnea miss me too
Jo: (she looks over to Blair) Proberly
Blair: Proberly (getting mad)
Tootie: Blair she was only kidding
Blair: ( looks over at Jo and sees that she's smiling) I new that
Beverly Anne: (she graps her purse from the coat rack) come on we'd better hurry Natalie (pauses for a moment) Jo (pauses for a moment) Andy and I will give you a ride to the station
Blair: and I'll give Andy and Beverly Anne a ride to the station this evening
Beverly Anne: and I'll pay for you leaving your car at the station
Blair: That's not necessary Beverly Anne
Beverly Anne: (takes her wallet out of her purse) what can it be $20.00
Jo: you do know that's $20.00 dollars a day
Beverly Anne: (with shock) A day your right Blair it's not necessary (quickly puts the money back)
Everyone: (hugs again and they continue to say there goodbyes.)
Beverly Anne: (After they stop hugging Beverly Anne turns towards the stairs) Andy come on we gotta get going
Andy: (he comes rushing in with a small raid) Hey you guys listen to this
News boardcast from a radio: all Flight and train services in and out of the state of New York have been cancelled due to the storm)
Jo: Cancelled
Blair: were not gonnea get home for Christmas (sounding like she's about to cry)
Natalie: (walks over to Blair and puts her arm around her shoulder) blair does it matter if you get home or not we have each other and that's what counts
Jo: your right Natalie were family (walks over towards natalie and puts her arm around her shoulder)
Blair: (persk up and smiles) how about some more singing
Jeff: I'm up for that
Tootie: me too
Beverly Anne: what should we sing (they all walk over towards the piano Jo sits down at the seat)
Natalie: How about we wish you a merry christmas (they all smile at each other and Jo starts to play)
Everyone: (singing) We wish you a merry Christmas, We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year good tiding we bring to you and your kin good tiding for Christmas and a happy new year we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry christmas we wish you a merry christmas and happy new year

Beverly Anne: (stops when she reaches the door bewteen the shop and the house and turns back to the girls) You start on little fire and your marked for life
Jo: (jo gives a little laugh at Beverly Anne. A coustomer walks in and Jo stands up to greet him with a smile) Happy Holidays sir can I help you find something
Male Coustomer: (smiles back at Jo) no thanks I'm just looking
Jo: Ok if you need anything my name is Jo (walks over to the greeting cards display and helps a female coustomer Andy starts to pout and bangs his fist on the counter)
Natalie: (natalie walks over to Andy and puts her arm around him from confront) come on Andy stop moping. Your going to have a great Christmas
Andy: no I won't
Natalie: (takes her arm down) What are talking about I bet you going to get a lot of great gifts
Andy: Natalie there's only one gift I want for Christmas but I won't get it
Natalie: Andy come on Christmas is still a week away I'm sure…..
Andy: (cuts her off) Natalie I want to meet my mother
Natalie: What (asked a little shocked)
Andy: my real mother I never meant her
Natalie: Oh Andy (with understanding in her voice) I know how you feel
Andy: yeah, (getting a little angry) but you got to meet your real mother, I'll never get to meet mine (starts to walk towards the middle of the store and Natalie follows him they both sit down at a table)
Natalie: Don't say that Andy theres a lot of places that can help you
Andy: (turns towards Natalie with a little bit of hope in his eyes and voice) well how did you find your mother
Natalie: Andy it's kind of a long story, and I'll tell you just as soon as the shop closes.
(Tootie, Blair, and Beverly Anne enter the shop. Tootie and Blair are gagging and coughing on the cookies)
Blair: Oh God Beverly Anne those cookies are awful (cough, gag, gag, cough)
Jo: (walks over towards the counter with the cookies) come on your guys I'm sure there not that bad (takes a bit of a cookie chews for about 3 seconds graps a napkin from the counter and disposes of the cookie then she starts to gag) you know something (cough) this has got to be a first Blair and I are in total agreement
Beverly Anne: I think you girls are over reacting these cookies aren't that bad (takes a bit of a cookie and starts to gag on it) ……..your right there terrible. Andy dispose of these (hands the tray to Andy. Andy graps the tray and goes over to toss them away)
Natalie: (looks at her watch. Graps her purse from under the counter) Well I'm off Snake and I have a lunch date
Blair: (walks over towards Natalie) Natalie it's the holidays can't you for once stop this and just admit there isn't no Snake (puts her left hand on Natalie left shoulder)
Natalie: (gives a fake smile) Blair your right since this is the holiday season I'm not going to punch you out (her smile quickly fades) have a nice day
Jo: (male coustomer is still looking around and walks up to Jo) Are you still looking around sir
Male Coustomer: yes, but I was wondering if you could tell me where there's a payphone
Jo: There's one right outside the shop (points outside where the payphone is)
Male Coustomer: Thank you (just as he leaves Natalie rushes back inside)
Natalie: I forget my keys. (she goes out of the shop into the living room to get her keys and quickly comes back) Gosh I swear I think I'm losing it today
OUTSIDE INFRONT OF THE SHOP. MAN IS TALKING ON THE PHONE AND NATALIE IS TRYING TO BUTTON UP HER COAT)
Male Coustomer: yes can I please talk to Ellen Manheim (natalie suddenly looks up at him with questioned looked on her face) thank you very much
Beverly Anne: (natalie walks back into the shop and doesn't say a word) Natalie are you alright
Jo: (Jo and Beverly Anne walks up towards her) You look like you just seen a ghost
Beverly Anne: (they walk her over to a chair Beverly Anne helps her into the chair, but not all the way down) here let's sit her down over here. (quickly pulls her back up again) No wait maybe she should stand and I'll sit (takes a seat) (stands up) Ok will both stand.
Everyone else: Beverly Anne and Andy at the same time : Mom
Jo: (jo sits down at a chair next to Natalie and looks at her with concern on her face) Nat come on what is it
Natalie: (stutters out the words ) That man
Tootie: What man you mean the coustomer that just left
Jo: Natalie what about him
Natalie: I was outside buttoning up my coat and I over heard asking for the listing of Ellen Manheim
Blair: (shocked by what she just heards) Natalie isn't she your real mother
Natalie: (getting angry) yes! Why would that man want her number
Jo: (gives natalie a small smile) Maybe there old friends
Blair: (voice sounding like she's getting into her businesses) Maybe there more then friends (Blair gets up from the chair)
Jo: Blair (gets up from her chair and follow Blair) what are you getting at
Blair: (turns towards the others) nothing (pauses for a couple moments) I've stuck my nose in this situation before and I'm not going to do it again. I don't want to see you get hurt Natalie
Natalie: Blair what is it (Natalie stands up and Jo and Blair walk back towards the table)
Blair: (looks around at everyone pauses for a second) That man he maybe your real father
Natalie: (starts to breathe a little heavy) MY FATHER (Natalie takes a seat again)
Tootie: Oh Lord
(Beverly Anne walks over the the counter and pours Natalie a glass of water. She hads natalie the water)
Beverly Anne: Here Natalie drink this. (turns towards Blair) Blair what makes you so sure that man was Natalie's real father
Blair: Well I'm not sure but I think Natalie has a right to find out
Jo: Look Nat you don't have to make any decision's today just sleep on it
Andy: (phone rings from the other room) I'll get it (Andy leaves to answer it)
Male Customer: (tries to get his wife to leave) Um honey maybe we'd better come back later
Female Customer: Are you kidding this is more exciting then the Young and the Restless
Male Customer: come on (has to pull his wife out the door)
Andy: (Andy comes back inside) Natalie that was Snake on the phone
Natalie: Oh God (puts her hands on her cheeks for a second) I forget all about him I better get going (Natalie gets up from the table)
Blair: (sounding a little snobish) what a great trick
Natalie: Excuse me
Blair: getting the phone (points to the other room where the phone is) to ring and pretending to have Snake call I mean really Natalie (stands up and walks towards Natalie puts her hand on her hips) don't you think your carrying this whole Snake thing just a bit to far
Natalie: (looks at Blair with complete rage in her eyes. Screams) SHUT UP BLAIR I don't need this from you right now (natalie quickly leaves the shop. And everyone else turns towards Blair with angry faces)

IN THE LIVING ROOM……..
later on that evening. Andy is sitting on the couch waiting for natalie to come home Beverly Anne comes down stairs)
Beverly Anne: Andy why are you still up (she sits down on the couch next to him)
Andy: I'm waiting for Natalie we were gonnea talk
Beverly Anne: Is it anything I can help you with
Andy: (GIVES HER A LITTLE SMILE) Thanks Mom but this is something I have to talk over with Natalie
Beverly Anne: Oh I see. (gives him a smile to show that she understands) Well I'm just going to bed now goodnight (gets up from the couch and heads back upstairs)
Andy: goodnight (natalie comes inside the room and Andy turns towards her)
Natalie: Andy what are you still doing up
Andy: (You said we could talk remember
Natalie: (sounding really confused and tried) What Oh gosh Andy could it wait till the morning (Natalie walks towards the stairs)
Andy: (has a little hurt in his voice) Good night Natalie (at the bottem of the stairs Natalie turns back to Andy. And starts walking towards him. Andy gets up from the couch and starts walking towards natalie)
Natalie: (they meet half way. Natalie places her arm around his shoulder and together they walk back over to the couch and sit down) when I was still at Eastland, I was offered a chance to write for the Peekskill Press, but my mom felt that I shouldn't have all that repsonsibly at my age. She wanted me to enjoy my free time
Andy: so what happened?
Natalie: We got into this huge agrument I told her that she didn't understand and that my real mother would
Andy: Wow (with shock in his voice)
Natalie: (pauses for a moment) Then a week later I received a letter from my mom. Inside the letter was the name of my real mother
Andy: (looks down at the ground and back up again )Ellen Manheim
Natalie: (almost whispers it) Right (her voice goes back to normal) and I finally got to meet her
Andy: did you ever go back to visit her again
Natalie: No I didn't. She was killed by a drunk driver 3 weeks later

Natalie: thanks, (gives him a smile to show that she understands) but I'm glad I got the chance to spend some time with her. She answered so many questions I had
Andy: (smiling to show her that he understands his smile quickly fades with his next question) but then how come that man was looking for your mother
Natalie: (his the same face of concern that Andy has) that's exactly what I've been wondering all night

Natalie: Night Andy (they both get up from the couch and head upstairs)
THE GIRLS BEDROOM………
(EVERYONE IS READY FOR BED AND LAYING ON THERE BED. Blair and jo are trying to sleep. Natalie enters the room and tootie sits up in her bed)
Tootie: so what are you going to do
Natalie: tootie I don't know (getting a little angry at her. She graps her night grown from under her pillow and goes into the bathroom)
Tootie: Ok Natalie's father I still can't believe it
Blair: Tootie it's late (sits up in her bed and gives her an angry look) can't we discuss this in the morning
Tootie: fine (lays back down in her bed) I wonder if Natalie has any other brothers or sisters (smiles as she ponders the question)
Jo: (getting angry she sits up and shots a look at tootie) tootie if I hear one more word from you I'm gonnea throw you out the window (points to the window)
Tootie: (quickly lays her head down and doesn't' say another word)
Blair: thank you (turns to jo)
(natalie enters the room again and goes to sit on her bed. She looks at Tootie and sees that she wants to talk)
Natalie: Tootie (smiling (will talk about it in the morning) goodnight

Jo: (raising her voice) oh would you give me a break here this isnt' the Walton's

The Next Morning around 11:00 in the living room Beverly Anne and Andy are trimming the tree
Beverly Anne/Andy: (singing while there trimming the tree and just having a good time) oh jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way (Tootie and Blair enter the room from the store and join them)
Beverly Anne/Andy/Tootie/and Blair: (singing) oh what fun it is it to ride in one horse open sleigh….
Jo: (jo cuts them off and enters carrying a leigh lift) Hey I'll be back later I got some last minute shopping to do (walks over to the closet and puts on her coat)
Beverly Anne: (everyone else continues to trim the tree) Ah come on Jo aren't you gonnea help decerated the tree and sing carols
Jo: (smiling) I'll only be one an hour. I want to get my dad a drill for Christmas and Orchard has them on Sale today (she leaves)
Beverly Anne: Don't you just love the holidays (Natalie comes downstairs)
Blair: yeah oh Natalie were decorting the tree wanna help
Natalie: No thanks (gives a little smile to show them that she's ok, but she still needs to work out her feeligns)
Tootie: I hope Natalie's gonnea be ok
Beverly Anne: I'm sure she'll be fine, it's just gonnea have to take some time (They all continue to decarate the tree and sing songs)

DOWN AT THE HARDWARE STORE…….
Jo: (jo walks town the isle where the drills are and spots the same man from yesterday at the shop) Oh hi it's nice to see you again
Man: (turns to Jo with a blank face) Partner me
Jo: You came into our shop yesterday (pauses for a moment) Over our Heads
Man: (pauses for a moment and then smiles) Oh that's right are you hear to get your husband a gift for Christmas
Jo: Husband (starts to laugh a little) Oh no no I'm not married yet. Acutally I'm getting my father a drill
Man: He's very lucky to have a daugher like you (smiles at Jo)
Jo: Ah (she smiles back at him) thanks Have a Merry Christmas
Man: Thank you same to you (Jo walks down the isle to where the drills or and the man continues stocking the shelves Jo looks at the drills, and she also looks over at the man wondering if he could possibly be natalie's father)

Jo: (cuts them off again and walks inside through the front door) You guys aren't gonnea believe who I saw down at the hard ware store

Andy: (looks up from the tree and turns towards Jo) who was at the hard ware store

Beverly Anne: well Andy you just be pretty excited tomorrow were flying to Appleton

JUST OUTSIDE THE HARDWARE STORE. NATALIE TAKES A DEEP BREATHE BEFORE ENTERING. AFTER A COUPLE MINUTES SHE FINALLY ENTERS THE STORE. SHE WALKS OVER TO WHERE THE DRILL WOULD BE HOPING TO SPOT THE MAN. SURE ENOUGH HE WAS OVER THE WORKING BEHIND THE COUNTER)
Male Worker: (natalie slowly walks down the isle towards him. She pauses for a moment infront of his counter) Hi can I help you find anything
Natalie: (pauses for just a second) no thank you
Male Worker: (smiling) Ok well if you need anything just let me know (natalie gives a little fake smile and walks over to the shelves and pretends to look at the drills) (the phone rings and he picks it up) this is Scott oh hi Ellen (natalie turns her attention towards him) …….. I tried calling you eariler, but your roommate said you were in class (natalie walks over towards him) …….ok your mother and I will be at the airport tonight to pick you up. (Natalie suddently stop dead in her tracks) (the man walks out from behind the counter and goes over to see if she's alright)
Male Worker: Are you alright miss
Natalie: (she looks at him just for a moment still confused. Suddenly she realizes what happened and she smiles like everything going to be alright) I'm just fine thanks you

Blair: were not gonnea get home for Christmas (sounding like she's about to cry)
Natalie: (walks over to Blair and puts her arm around her shoulder) blair does it matter if you get home or not we have each other and that's what counts
Jo: your right Natalie were family (walks over towards natalie and puts her arm around her shoulder)

Beverly Anne: what should we sing (they all walk over towards the piano Jo sits down at the seat)
