You are allowed to write about anything you want. If people have a problem with it, they can give you constructive critisim or feel free not to read the fanfic at all.

I don't think anyone in here should be afraid of writing what they feel.

Now, that I've gotten my moderator duties out of my way, let me just state that I feel it to be very out of character for Jo to be raped. Any of the other girls, I may buy it, but Jo was pretty sharp and wouldn't have allowed herself to get into a situation where she could be taken advantage of. Unless you're talking about some violent gang-rape or something, but I just don't see it.

I gotta agree with that/ Personally, I could really believe a story involving Blair gettting raped. Don't know why, but......

Just wanted to make a suggestion that might head off some trouble for you if you choose to write a storyline as intense as the one you've proposed.

Since rape is a heavy duty serious issue -- it might be wise to put a disclaimer at the beginning of your story. It could be as simple as a line that says that the story will contain sexual violence or its aftermath. That way, readers can make up their minds immediately if they want to read it or not.

That's standard procedure on many fanfiction boards. Basically, it keeps readers from being blindsided by serious subject matter that they weren't expecting.

I think you'll need to write a disclaimer like Devon King said if you are going to write that kind of story. Now personally, I wouldn't buy it. At least not with Jo. Blair I could see it or maybe Tootie and definately not Natalie. After being attacked you would expect her to be on the lookout for such things.

Same with Coily. Though,it could cause some trouble if people don't like it. But you can write about whatever you want,just be aware that people might not read it.

Yes like they said a disclaimer would be nice just so people would expect it. You can write whatever you wnat on these boards. So go ahead it's just some people won't read it.

Like coily2 said...you could have it be a violent gang rape or something if your still going to do it with Jo.I could believe that if it was written good.I would read it either way.So go ahead!

I also agree with coily that Jo getting raped would be defintly out of character. Jo is a sharp, streetwise former gang member who can protect herself against physical violence. Tootie and Blair are far more vulnerable and them getting raped would be a little more believeable.

If you are going to go ahead with this storyline, a disclaimer is a good idea.
