Just once. In 1991, I called UM regarding then-fugitive Katherine Ann Power, who was wanted for the 1970 Brighton, Massachusetts bank robbery that resulted in the death of Boston police officer Walter Schroeder. I saw someone who resembled the computer age-enhanced photo of her. I wasn't entirely certain that it was her, but I called them anyway.

Obviously, my tip didn't pan out. But in September 1993, it no longer mattered; that was when Katherine Power turned herself in, after she was discovered living Oregon under the alias Alice Louise Metzinger.

No I've never called in to UM. It would be cool I just never recognized any of the fugitives or saw someone who was missing.

An interesting somewhat related story though was a few years back I was walking into our local Wal-Mart store. In the entryway they had posters of missing children up from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children. A young girl was missing, I'm thinking around 13 or so. The adult male they were searching for who went missing with her I recognized as a client of an attorney I had worked for a few years earlier. I called them in with the info. It was really just a tip that I thought may help them track him down. They had informed me that she had already been located (along with him I assume) but hey I did my part. :)

I called once - just to see if it was active - a couple years ago. I never did call while the show was still in production.
