I have a question. Some of you guys have Avatars from various scenes from UM. For instance, Dynoguy's avatar is a picture of Cindy Anderson. How do you do that?

I just pop a dvd (mostly one of CD's ;) ) into my computer and then I just take a screenshot :)

All of my UM segments are on video tape. Oh well.

Was there a specific error message that popped up? I know in the past I've had to resize mine as they were too big to and suprassed the size limit. I think it's 150 pixels x 150 pixels, but I'm not sure, it says somewhere in there. Let me know what happened, I might be able to help.

I took this picture of Audrey Moate from the Charley project...I think.

I can't remember the segment now where I got my avatar from, I remember it was a couple on the run I think for robbery or fraud. This woman was the person renting a house to the couple and called in after seeing them on UM. I was just looking through episodes trying to find a picture and settled on this one, but I might look again for another one.

I took a picture using my phone from the TV. Took about 20 tries but I finally got it, LOL.

What gets me sometimes is that I imagine the person in the avatar is the one who is actually doing the writing. Sometimes that's kind of cool - but sometimes it bugs me to no end.

I think I would get the wife to build me a den or a cottage. Someplace where I could get a view of the trees. I mean there is no reason I should have to write my terrorist missives and not look at the birds chirping.

You too?! LookslikeCRicci is Number 2 on my list of posts that bug me the most because I picture the person in the avatar as the one posting.

On the other hand, when crystaldawn was that older guy with the sullen face (don't know who he was / what segment he was from) for the longest time last year, I kept picturing him writing, and I got the impression that crystaldawn was a laid-back old grandpa type. Then I found out crystaldawn was actually a "she" and that was the end of that.
