Dale Kerstetter went missing. I cannot believe it has been that many years & no news about him. That is the case tho with alot of these cases we hear & read about which is really too bad.

I'm still unsure wether Dale was in on the theft or not. I did find his son-in-law's post he made here awile back interesting. I dunno but just by reading his comments, I am really starting to wonder that just maybe Dale was in on it.

Is this the guys w/ the stolen platinum or uranium or some sort of precious metal? If so, this one blows my mind as well. Maybe he's off living the hi-life on a island somewhere. You can never tell; people say they would never leave their loved ones, but remember that lost loves case where the old man disappeared? It turned out he was wanted for a robbery and was living under an alias. After many years w/ his wife and kids he took off only to find out 5 years later he was pardoned. Crazy!!!!!

That is a fascinating case...

I used to think if the guy was in on it, he would have turned up. Same thing with the Alcatraz escapees... if they made it, you'd think you'd know by now.

Then again, if you were wanted for a crime and had mad cash to hide out with, would you ever tell??? Be awfully easy to disappear to a medium sized town or foreign country.

I am very intrigued in Dale's case about the theory that he was in on it and then killed or robbed and then agreed to go in on it. His look up to the camera always bothered me. It never had the "help me" look. It was more like "up yours."

Then again, I'm no psychologist nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. :p

the thing about "the look" is I'm pretty sure it was just an UM recreation, not the actual security cam footage...maybe he didn't give quite that swarmy look that was portrayed in the segment. Watch it again, I'm almost 100% positive Stack says it is a re-enactment of the cam footage.

I so wish we would have seen the actual security camera footage. I never have understood why they never showed the original instead a re-enactment.

Same thing with the Matt Flores case, maybe because of some legal reasons?

Ahh... That explains it.

I'm still not sure either way, but I'm not as bothered by "the look" anymore. The way it was in the story made him look realllly guilty.

Thanks for setting me straight on that. (Kind of weird that would recreate "the look" since it obviously suckered people like me... :D )

That was kinda weird. The thing that really makes one think that he was guilty was the fact that he'd worked there for quite some time and was forced to take a signifant paycut. Obviously the guy had nowhere else to go for a job, so he stayed. Seems like anyone that had to take that kind of a pay cut would have bitterness toward the company. Maybe that was his way of getting back? I guess we'll never know.

I still don't know what to think about this case except that Dale's boss really did not trust him at all.
