Last night, ME-TV aired PASS THE TABU. I was watching this, and they cut out the scene where Greg meets the blonde girl on the beach and then Peter and Bobby come along. ME-TV is turning into a Chicago version of TV Land. They have their station logo plastered on the lower left of the screen and they cut segments out of the programs to air more commercials. When this station first hit the air, the station ID was not displayed during the programs and shows were aired complete with fewer commercials. Like TV Land, it appears ME-TV has gone down the toilet as well.

...whoopdeedoo they deleted a scene...they have to create time for advertisements or they wouldn't even be on the air...and the brady bunch is moving to sunday mornings at 11am and 11:30am, i think.

You know that a show is sliced to all hell when:

1) The opening theme song is sung very quickly - it's sped up.

2) They cut to a scene, and the audience is already laughing (this is one that I hate the most, since you know you just missed a joke that they cut)

3) A 30 minute show that starts at 12:30, ends at 12:53, except for the closing credits

4) you notice some apparent continuity errors that you've never heard mentioned before but find out they are explained by missing scenes included on the DVD.

A good case and point for this is on a "Will and Grace" episode. On Prime-Time there was a super-sized episode that lasted forty minutes. It was then widdled down to regular size for purposes of syndication. As it turned out, it was the syndicated version that ended up on DVD. Let my enlighten you about a whole situation that was completely left out of a the new version! Grace's new husband Leo was riding on a boat before heading to Africa to be in the Doctors with Borders program. He forgot his travel bag on the boat. In the travel bag was an inflatable neck pillow that he would use on the plane. Grace found it in the bag and had no idea what it was for. When Leo came back to Brooklyn to retrieve his bag, Grace told him that he might not want back that particular item. When Leo asked why not, Grace explained that she had been using it for something else. Upon being asked what else in the world could she have used it for, Grace said, "you see, it fits right over the toilet seat!" Now there is something that you would never hear on any "Brady Bunch" episode cut or uncut!
