View Full Version : Monday Night Football Question for everyone
TVFactFan 09-11-2007, 11:43 AM Depending on where you live in the country, do u find yourself being more interested in certain games and less interested in certain games? For example, I wonder if catlover is interested in watching the redskins/egales game next week since she lives in Ohio
or if Dutbai84 has a interest in watching the redskins/eagles game because he lives in Minnesota?
I know last night i tried getting into the bengals/ravens game and as the game went on I felt less and less interested because it has nothing to do with the NFC east or NFC and I'm not in the AFC part of the country. I'm sure people in Baltimore and Cincy will react the same way toward the skins/eagles game next week.
so just curious is anyone else like this or do u watch all the monday night football regardless of who is playing
GARFIELDKOOL 09-11-2007, 02:38 PM First of all, you sound like an NFC East only fan, not and NFL fan, at least that's what you're trying to say. But yeah, I do find some games more interesting than others. But I am an NFL fan. I actually liked the Bengals-Ravens game better than the Cardinals and 49ers game last night. I think what made that Ravens-Bengals game not as exciting as it should have been, was that both teams looked flat offensively at first and they both missed some scoring opportunities. As many turnovers there were last night, that score should have been higher.

maybe a NFC fan and only interested in seeing the Pats, Colts, or Chargers on Monday Night.
Dutabi84 09-11-2007, 05:36 PM Because I am involved in fantasy football, I have a lot of teams that I would like to watch on Monday night. Even if I weren't, I'd still probably watch as much as I can. Last nights 49er/Cardinal game, however, was about the worst game I've watched in a long time. ****ty playing, and horrible, horrible commentary.

Probably because the announcers were Mike and Mike and Mike from ESPN-lol
Mr. Television 09-11-2007, 06:22 PM I really enjoyed the Raven-Bengals game last night. It was really exciting. I guess maybe because I watch the Ravens a lot because they are on my AFC Channels every week ( plus that's my Dad's favorite team) and the fact I hate Pittsburgh...I can get really into AFC North games. I watch all the Monday and Sunday games too but yea...their are some games I'm not that interested in. Last night's SF-Arizona game was a real snoozer.

I dn't think no team should be on Monday Night who was not close to making the playoffs. Cardinals had no business on Monday Night
mriggles 09-12-2007, 05:23 AM It takes a very bad nfl game for me not to watch. I enjoy football, some games I get more into than others, but I can watch any game & enjoy it. Football is football

agreed, i don't fall into that category... I can watch any football game & get some sort of enjoyment out of it
melwalton 09-20-2007, 08:56 PM I think most people ( me. for sure ) don't just watch, they root, so the game with their favorite team is much more interesting.
catlover79 09-20-2007, 09:56 PM I have to admit I really only pay attention to the game and root if it's the Browns playing. However, I spend quite a few Sundays at my sister and brother-in-law's house. Since he plays fantasy football, the games are always on over there, and I will watch with him.

I also get very involved with games where I actually hate the teams.
catlover79 09-20-2007, 10:02 PM When Browns games are nationally televised, they are almost always disasters. Anyone remember the Sunday night game vs. Baltimore where Tim Couch was hurt and got booed by the home crowd? That and the bottle throwing incident are the ugliest football games I've ever watched!!
