watching the NFL and your happiest and saddest moment as a NFL fan?

This is my 20th Year as a NFL fan and my happiest moment was the Eagles losing to Tampa in the 2003 NFC championship


Saddest was: the Eagles reaching the Superbowl in 2005

My Happiest moment was SB XXll when the Cowboys beat the Bills. It was the culmination of a lot of losing seasons and heartbreaks before then. I actually had butterflies in my stomach before the game. :lol:

The worst feeling was probably a tie between the 1981 NFC Chanpionship game ( actually Jan. 1982) when the 49ers beat us with the catch. I was so sure we had the game won. I was in the kitchen when they were making their comeback. The other one was the 1994 NFC Championship game ( January 1995)when Dallas gave the 49ers 21 points in the first quarter and they couldn't overcome it inspite of outplaying them the rest of the day. So much for our 3-peat.

Saddest is when we went 3-13 two years later. (Slightly beating out the shutout we were defeated at home by the Cowboys in 2003, 27-0)

Watched off and on starting around 1994, became a true fan in 1997.

Saddest moment: January 2000. AFC Title Game. Happiest moment? A couple of years ago when Jacksonville finally started beating Tennessee regularly. Now we've got the exact same problem with Houston of all teams.

I had a $100 bet on that game and when the Jags went up 7-0, I knew I was going to win but after-nevermind-lol

I still get reminded to this day by Cowboy fans of that. It is like a scar that won't heal. They were not good, but they beat us, how do you heal that?!

During Those years it was real hard to be a Cowboy fan. That was right after Tom Landry got fired. I could probably mention that as one of my worst sports moments too because he was one of the big reasons I became a Cowboy fan in the first place.

I remember those AFC title games they had with Denver.Those were classics. I was rooting for the Browns in the last 2 because I didn't think Denver could beat the NFC team. :lol:

Nope that was 1991, I was in 11th grade and that was the Redskins superbowl season. My bad Sonny, Dallas was 6-5 and the Skins were 11-0-lol

You should have went to my HS.This was in NC and I think I was the only Cowboy fan there. It was loaded with Redskin fans. That was years before the Carolina Panthers entered the league. The Redskins were on TV every week back then too. I can't get away from them. :lol:

Ok. I knew for a fact that the Pats would beat the Eagles so it was expected still a happy moment but not that big of a shock becsuse I knew New England had the better team.

I'm just glad Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are a tad younger than Mcnabb because as long as they are in the NFL, I don't have to worry about the Eagles winning the SB-lol

Happiest - watching the Vikings thoroughly dominate the league in 1998.

And obviously the saddest - watching them lose in the NFC championship game against the Falcons. Just heartbreaking and sickening.

That whole game is a bad memory, as awesome as it was to be in the superbowl, the feeling in the pits of my stomach that day were just pains that didn't go away for about 2 months.

But they lost to a 2 time superbowl winner so it couldn;t have been that upsetting. Now i can see u being sad about the lost to tampa but not new england. Just like one of the sportswriters said at the time-"Um maybe the eagles lost because the pats were the better team"

I agree!!! That was an awesome game. I still remember how I was yelling and screaming and p*ssing of my then husband at the time. (He was NOT a Cowboys fan):lol: :D :cool:

I have been watching the Cowboys play since I was 12 years old. That makes it 30 years for me. :D

There are so many games/plays that I remember but too numerous to post.

They were the better team but we had a chance to win the superbowl big guy, how can u say I should not be upset. Cmon, you live in philly, you know how we eagle fans think, you know most of us would give just about anything for a superbowl championship.

I've been a Giant fan since the mid 20s. Lived in Manhattan ( hell's Kitchen ) at that time. Don't recall too much about that time ( I was a preteen )
My best moment was when the Bills Norwood missed a field goal on the last play of Superbowl ( was it # 30 ?) and the Jints Beat Buffalo 20 - 19
One thing I do remember: I think it was 1934. In the championship game ( no superbowl in those days ) the Bears led the Giants 13 - 0 at the half on an ice covered field. During halftime the Guants changed from shoes to sneakers. In the 2nd half the Bears were sliding all over and the Giants won the game by a big margin.

I tried to post this before, seems it didn't take. I'm new at this but I'll try again. I saw the Dallas - NYG game and concluded:
1 the Giants will get the #1 pick in the next draft.
2 the Cowboys are overrated, terrible defense almost as bad as the Giants.
3 Giants will have a new coaching staff, shortly , won't wait for the end of season
4 Parcells is still one of the very best but the pressure is just too much, owens and Jones ( the owner not the RB ) Giants should sign him, Wonder how long Phillips will last. Owens and Jones.
