Pregnant rapper Foxy Brown has been sentenced to one year in jail by a New York City judge after violating her probation.

The hip-hop star--real name Inga Marchand--was reprimanded in state custody last month after lying to police about her name and address during a traffic stop and for allegedly attacking her neighbor with a BlackBerry phone.

On Aug. 22, Judge Melissa Jackson ruled these incidents violated her probation stemming from a 2006 assault conviction, and on Friday the same judge sentenced the 31-year-old to a year behind bars.

If Marchand, who is three months pregnant, serves out her sentence, she will give birth in jail.

Marchand was sentenced to three years’ probation last year after being found guilty of assaulting two manicurists in 2004.

The "Candy" star was also arrested in Florida in February for battery and resisting arrest in a Pembroke Pines beauty store.

I'm not surprised that she's locked up because when you're a ghetto person, you never change. She hasn't had a album out in 6 years and nobody is checking for her music anymore. Koch records is releasing a new album by her in a few months and if she keeps getting in trouble with the law when she gets outta prison, Koch is gonna drop her from the label and no record company will sign her because record companies don't wanna be bothered with ignorant rappers who continue to get in trouble with the law.

Despite her lawyer announcing the happy news in open court last month, Foxy Brown's manager today said, "And to the pregnancy rumors, this is the official statement: She is not pregnant." Damn, girl!

In August, defense lawyers told a judge that Foxy, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was three months pregnant. Foxy herself told the NY Post, "I'm getting married in September. I'm pregnant!"
