It just seems so real. The show doesn't try to sugar-coat the issues real families and teens deal with - racism, gangs, etc. Plus- I think Cassie and Charles are really cute together!! I agree they TOTALLY don't need the help as the show is really solid and well done. But sometimes, even though shows are great, they don't garner an audience (Veronica Mars, My So Called Life). And what good is a show if no one is watching?
