Well - the city the Simpsons live in is Springfield - but of course no one knows which state. :)

Did they ever mention where Malcolm In the Middle was located? If they did, I have no idea where it is. :lol:

Mamas Family - Raytown was the town and we always heard the tri-state area but they never said what state

Leave It To Beaver was in Mayfield but did they ever say what state?

The Wonder Years never named the state, not sure they even named the town?

Petticoat Junction & Green Acres were both set in Hooterville, but it never said which state it was in.

They never named exactly where they lived at all, because they wanted the viewers to believe it was a normal, everyday sixties-neighborhood, not in any particular area of the country.

Nope....a lot of people think they can figure it out by various clues, but then something else will rule out that location. They did that on purpose just to irritate everyone. :D

Whatever state motto that is, you can be sure something else revealed in the show ruled out that state. They loved to keep people guessing.

Not only did Malcolm never mention the setting where the show took place but they also never revealed their family's last name on the air.

I'd guess it was in Southern California due to the mountains in background, it also never snowed or got real cold

I may be stretching it....but any TV show with Superman. We're all to believe Metropolis is New York City, but they never say Metropolis is in New York state or any other state. But it's a plane trip from wherever Smallville is in Kansas.

King of the Hill- the exact location of Arlen in Texas has not been revealed, except that it's 3 hours from Houston and 5 hours from Wichita Falls

But they still never meant to even think of a location for the show. The location was your everyday neighborhood in suburban American.

If you're going to get really detailed, I would think the same thing. I think they did show snow a few times, but they really never mentioned or showed weather changes or anything. Just another mystery I guess.

Actually, after I listed to the JustmyShow interview with Dan lauria, he said even though the location was never mentioned, it was supposed to be based off of New York City, as many street names, houses, schools, and neighborhoods were set there that were metnioned in TWY.

Mill Valley's a Marin County, CA suburb of San Francisco.

In The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, the Nelsons lived in Hillsdale. But they never mentioned what state it was in. I checked the Internet, and the only Hillsdales that came up were in Michigan, NJ, NY and CA. But nowhere in any of the episodes was a particular state mentioned, so the town remained somewhat anonymous.
