Travolta speaks out on childhood bullying

Pulp Fiction star John Travolta has spoken out about how he was bullied as a child in New Jersey.

Speaking at the premiere for his partner Kelly Preston's new movie Death Sentence, the actor revealed that he approached the bullying problem head on.

Travolta told New York Daily News: "There was a bully on my block who teased me for eight years. When I was 13, I found the strength to lift him over my head and throw him on the ground, I felt so vindicated.

"After that, we were good friends. So maybe that's how you know you're my friend - if I lift you over my head and body-slam you."

Wow. I didn't know that about Travolta. That's cool that he got up the courage to stand up to the bully, though I think body slamming someone is going a little overboard. I was bullied as a kid and that eventually made me have a tough attitude and I just tell jerks off if I feel bothered which thankfully is like nearly never now.

Kids bullying other kids is definitely a major problem in this world and it needs to be dealt with seriously. I don't think enough is being handled with bullying at these schools. The principals of these schools need to take this problem serious because kids that are getting bullied will take it to the extreme sometimes by bringing a gun or a knife to school to protect themselves from bullies. I used to be bullied when i was a teenager and i hated it. I wanted to fight those fa*gots for messing with me but i was scared of fighting back. This black kid i got into a fight with almost choked me to death and i was crying and there were kids standing around watching and nobody did anything to help me. There was one kid who let me go into his apartment and call my mom so i could tell her what happened. I should've filed a police report against that bully. I told these 2 black dudes at my school about the bully and they wanted to beat him up. I thought that was nice of them that they wanted to beat up this kid for me. I saw Kevin Bacon and Kelly Preston's Death Sentence movie. That's a good movie.
