I'd be curious if those 6%(of what I'm sure are guys)can stand up and walk around the office after watching the porn!!!:lol:

Some people at my job DID get busted for surfing porn sites while on the clock. As a result, the company installed heavy duty filters into the computer system. Needless to say, these people were shown out the door and to the unemployment line.

I think I posted about it before, but my husband's friend got fired for watching porn at work. :crazy:

That's how it was at my last job. We had internet access, but it had so much filtering going on, that all we could get were tame sites like Disney.com, lol.

Even some of the tamest sites were still blocked off - even if I had to do a search for UPC codes!! :rofl:

Actually, i got a terrible virus looking up a Disney site...I was SO mad, why would anyone do that to a site featuring Carl Barks and his creation Uncle Scrooge??? :mad: ( Yes, i used to read those comics :p )

I sometimes go onto SO @ work, and usually just to the Adv. O&H site. I go on to see the latest posts. And then I get right off. No more than 3-4 min.

Otherwise, I'm usu. a nose to the grindstone sort.

My old job did that. I don't know if it was a result of someone getting caught looking at porn or whatnot, but it pissed me off because their damn filter blocked game sites too. I had the world's most boring job and I could no longer play games, so I quit. lol

I remember back in 1999 when I was learning how to the internet, I was trying to find "The Jeffersons" webpage. In the address area of the page, I typed in Jefferson.com and instead of finding George and Weezy, I saw a woman holding a stiff wee wee.

My boss came over and asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was just trying to find "The Jeffersons" page and then the pornography came up on the screen. He did not mind me surfing, just no porn.

You guys right about people getting fired over porn. I had one coworker who was always looking at porno on his computer and a lot of people knew it too. He was a 1st shift worker. My people worked the 3rd. One of my shift co workers sat down at the 1st shift cubicle and saw something nasty on her computer and got the supervisor. He printed out the pic with the name of the person logged onto the computer. When confroned by management, he denied it, but when the proof was presented, he was presented the door. LOL.

When SO first came to be, I used to spend a lot of time on it. When NAN had the "Totally 80's" marathon of shows and I was at work. I would live chat with others that were watching it. I told them what I did. TJ(administrator) says "I wish that I had a job that allowed me to surf the web a lot". LOL.
