View Full Version : NFL PREDICTIONS
mriggles 09-01-2007, 07:27 PM Ok Everyone, I want to hear everyones predictions for the upcoming nfl season. Give me every division winner followed by the conference champions
Here are mine:
NFC EAST: EAGLES: The girls will be good as well but their D is overrated & Tony Romo is their QB
NFC CENTRAL: BEARS (by default) I think they will be pushed this year by the vikings
NFC SOUTH: SAINTS: THIS IS AN EASY ONE, THeir Defense is a bit shaky, but they are clearly number 1 in this division
NFC WEST: RAMS: Thats right I said it, the rams. I think they are going to surprise the heck out of alot of people, I think Seattle will be right there but the rams take it.
NFC CHAMPION: SAINTS (keep in mind I never pick my team beyond the divison level...I am very superstitious ;)
AFC East: The Patriots: I think this is a no brainer, I think the Jets will be ok, but the pats are the class of the afc east & quite possibly the NFL
AFC North: Ravens: That Defense is still very very good
AFC SOUTH: The Colts: The defending champs should cruise to a division title
AFC West: CHARGERS. You can easily say they are the best team in football
Afc champion: PATRIOTS
Superbowl Champion: Patriots. I just don't see anyone beating them, they have reloaded & have revenge on their minds
Brian Damage 09-01-2007, 07:58 PM I have no idea who is going to be good this year. LOL

I saw a need to predict whats going to happen because it's based on last season and the fact that this is a new season for every team makes it harder to predict what's going. All the Division winners from last season will have to defend their crown and I have no clue who will be the winner. The only thing I can predict is
The Giants will not be in the playoffs because they still have gomer plyle as their QB

They would be better off with him or even Denver Pyle (uncle Jesse) on Dukes of Hazzard than that chump Eli

Mr. Television 09-01-2007, 10:36 PM I need to find a Tony Romo avatar. :D
TVFactFan 09-01-2007, 10:46 PM Here are the True predictions of the 2007 NFL season
1. Emmit Smith will be let go by ESPN before the end of the season
2. Andy Reid will say-"IT"SHIS FAULT" after Eagles Loss
3. Giants won't win more than 6 games
4. This will be Eli Manning's worst season
5.The Rams will surprise a lot of People
6. The Titans will be in the playoffs
7. The Falcons won't win more than 6 games
GARFIELDKOOL 09-02-2007, 10:26 AM I'll bet my paycheck that Eli has a better season than Romo.
Don't sleep on Jason Campbell, remember us, the cellar dwellers?
I do believe he is the real deal.
GARFIELDKOOL 09-02-2007, 10:32 AM Like Brian said, it is hard to predict who will be good. Some divisions will be easy and some will be a toss up. I will say this, in the AFC it will come down to the Patriots and maybe the Colts, they lost some defensive players. As of now, the best teams in the NFC are the Saints, Eagles, Bears, and Seahawks.

Believe me, I think the Giants will be in last place. I do think the Skins finally have a legit QB in Campbell. I just think...rather I KNOW, that Eli Manning will have a better year than Tony Romo as QB.
TVFactFan 09-02-2007, 12:28 PM Like Brian said, it is hard to predict who will be good. Some divisions will be easy and some will be a toss up. Why are you mentioning the Eagles? We don't know what Mcnoon is going to be looking like
GARFIELDKOOL 09-02-2007, 01:05 PM Why are you mentioning the Eagles? We don't know what Mcnoon is going to be looking like
Well, they did win the division last year so you have to put them up there. They have been winning the division for the past few years with McNabb. I did say, "As of now"

I just hope the redskins don't get their a$$ kicked on Monday Night, in week 2 of the season because that would mean a coaching change is needed
GARFIELDKOOL 09-02-2007, 01:40 PM I just hope the redskins don't get their a$$ kicked on Monday Night, in week 2 of the season because that would mean a coaching change is needed
No, that will just mean that they were the better team that day and that we can't win in Philliy.
TVFactFan 09-02-2007, 01:44 PM No, that will just mean that they were the better team that day and that we can't win in Philliy.
There you go with that-"WE CAN"T WIN IN PHILLY" bullsh*T. That is going to have to change one day and if it' not changing then the coach needs to be replaced if they can't compete with the best team in the division year after year. Dallas is the only Franchise that has made an effort to challenge the Eagles in the past 5 years. The skins and giants have only beaten the Eagles with Mcnabb as the Starter one time in 5 years. And thats pathetic

For once, I agree with you. I do believe we can win in Philly, and something's got to give at some point. We almost beat them in Philly a few years ago with Patrick Ramsey at QB.

Giants and Skins Combined record with Mcnabb as a Starter in the past 5 years
3-13
Dallas on the otherhand is 3-5 against the Eagles with Mcnabb as a Starter in the past 5 years. Just shows the difference in the coaching and ownership.
Dynomite 09-02-2007, 02:33 PM AFC:
East: Patriots(Having superstars like Adalius Thomas, Randy Moss, etc., doesn't automatically guarantee them another title, but it will be enough to get them the division)
North: Steelers(Ben Roethlisberger will rebound)
South: Colts(That's a no-brainer)
West: Chargers(Unless the Norv Turner jinx gets them again)
Wild Cards: Browns(Joe Thomas and Eric Steinbach can help the O-Line back to the postseason) and Titans(Vince Young will figure out ways to win)
AFC Champion: Colts(Peyton and Co. know how to take it all the way, no matter the competition, and they don't listen to the negative critics)
NFC:
East: Eagles(Like Ben Roethlisberger, Donovan McNabb will rebound)
North: Bears(Their defense will get them another division title)
South: Saints(Their offense will carry them, but their D needs work)
West: Seahawks(Matt Hasselbeck and Co. will continue to roll)
Wild Cards: 49ers(They're making their way back into the playoff spotlight) and Lions(Tatum Bell and T.J. Duckett's running games, not Jon Kitna's bold predictions, can carry them back to winning)
NFC Champion: Seahawks(Matt Hasselbeck can get his team back to the big dance)
Super Bowl Champion: Colts over Seahawks(Bob Sanders would manage the game, defensively, by keeping the D on the field for the shortest amount of time possible by making stops and turnovers to give Peyton and the offense more time to score.)
catlover79 09-02-2007, 08:24 PM My only prediction is that the Browns will have another crummy year - I'm not being a pessimist, I'm being realistic!! Will the Browns EVER have a permanent, reliable #1 quarterback? We haven't had one since Bernie Kosar!!
freshprinceofLA 09-02-2007, 09:02 PM NFC EAST: Cowboys- Romo has more experience plus The Giants lost Tiki, Mcnabb although a great QB is injury prone (also lost some Defensive players) and the Redskins I don't see them going anywhere.
NFC CENTRAL: Bears- That Defense is just too good probably the best in the league plus the rest of the teams in that division are no good! If Grossman can pull off a pro bowl season the bears can be the champs (but lets not go that far :p )
NFC SOUTH: Saints-Great offense plus the falcons lost mike vick and the Panthers QB Jake Delhomme has lots of question marks
NFC WEST: Seahawks- Alexander will be back and produce a pro bowl season and they got some good defensive signings. The division got tougher the 49ers can easily slip by seattle they are my sleeper pick for this season (last year mine was the Titians)
NFC Wild Cards: The 49ers they got a lot of talent in the offseason and I think They'll squeak into the playoffs. The Eagles if Mcnabb can stay healthy all season they can be scary in the playoffs.
NFC CHAMPS: Bears- I think Grossman will be still pretty inconsistant this year but will make an improvement and I like there 1st round draft pick the tight end olsen from Miami.
AFC EAST: as much as I hate to admit it the Patriots:- Tom Brady led the Pats deep into the playoffs with out recievers and won a couple of superbowls without them as well think of how good they'll be with WR's this past off season they got randy moss, wes welker and dante stallworth and picking up one of the best defensive players in Adilus Thomas from the Ravens doesn't hurt either.
AFC NORTH: Ravens- They lost some people on Defense but they still have one of the best defensives in the league. The Bengals can give them a run for their money but the Bengals can stop anyone with their weak defense.
AFC SOUTH: Colts- Lost some key players but can still easily win the division. The Jags turn it off when it matters, The Texans need I say more?, The Titians don't have much talent on offense with the exception of Vince Young.
AFC WEST: Chargers-LT, Merriman, Rivers too much talent. Great Defense. They will compete with the Patriots for the AFC Championship. Look at thier division The Raiders don't have much of an offense, The Chiefs have a big question mark at QB and I think the Broncos got a lot better an can compete with the Chargers but I'm not fully sold on Cutler.
AFC wild cards: Bengals The offense is very good if they score a lot they can sneak in to the playoffs and do a lot of damage. Broncos That Bailey/Bly combo on defense will be very scary plus Travis Henry gives them a good running back.
AFC CHAMPS: well I don't wanna say this but The Patriots- It'll come down between San diego and new england. But I think the patriots will unfortunantly beat the Chargers this year again.
SUPERBOWL CHAMPS: If you haven't guessed already the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS are my pick.
bandito 09-03-2007, 08:28 AM I'm just predicting the Super Bowl: Chargers vs Rams
Chargers winning it all.

I tried but the Machine was in used, we only have 1 machine in here and if it's in use I just wait another day instead of going back downtairs to check. I like my laundry to be done before 12pm if I'm off

Gee u think Uncle andy will say that?? You forgot to add, I have to put the guys in better position to make plays.
I think the giants will hover around 8-8
I picked the rams to win the nfc west!!

GARFIELDKOOL 09-03-2007, 09:44 PM I agree with you, but I think the chargers have to be in the same breath as the pats!
I would have listed the Chargers, but what kept me from listing them is that they have Norv Turner for their coach. IMO, he is not a good coach. They should have stuck with Marty.
mriggles 09-03-2007, 09:45 PM Is there something you know about the Rams that no one else knows??-lol
I think the rams will be very good this year. The super bowl????? I think that is a stretch
TVFactFan 09-03-2007, 11:16 PM LOL, that is a funny statement.
If it's a lost it better be 24-20 not
Eagles 37
Skins 3
NFC East: Dallas
NFC North: Chicago
NFC South: New Orleans
NFC West: San Francisco
NFL Wild Cards: Philadelphia and Atlanta
Atlanta will not be as bad as people think. They still have 2 good running backs and their receivers are improving. I also think Detroit will be much improved to maybe 9-7 or 8-8.
Chicago beats New Orleans again in the NFC Championship Game
AFC East: New England
AFC North: Cincinnati
AFC South: Indianapolis
AFC West: San Diego
AFC Wild Cards: New York Jets and Pittsburgh
Baltimore is ready to make a big fall. Pittsburgh will rebound with a healthy Big Ben.
San Diego over New England in the AFC Championship Game
Chicago beats San Diego 21-14 in the Super Bowl.

1. Chicago is going to get creamed by San Diego on opening day 47-10
2. Even though Atlanta has 2 Good Running Backs if you have a slightly below average QB you will not win in the NFL-lol
