Hey, all! I know I said I left, but I wrote this and BlairW_1 persuaded me to post it, so here goes! BTW, remember that this is supposed to come in between 'Till Marriage Do Us Part' and 'Present Imperfect.'
Jo Bonner woke up and glanced at the digital clock on her nightstand. Beside her, her husband for less than 24 hours, stirred. He knew what she was looking at. He was leaving that morning. In two short hours, he would be on a plane on the way to Europe, and Jo would be sitting at home putting up with Blair. He saw her wipe away a tear that rolled down her cheek. "Hey," he whipered. "Don't cry. We've still got 2 hours together."
"Then what?" she replied.
"Well... we write and we call and I'll see you in a month."
She rolled over to face him. "What do we do until you have to leave?"
A mischievous smile crossed Rick's face. "I can think of something..." he let his voice fade off and kissed her nose.

Blair Warner leaned close to the bathroom mirror. She expected Jo to come barging into the bathroom at any moment, but that wouldn't happen until the next morning. She was on her honeymoon in New York City. As Blair smeared on blush, she thought about Jo and Rick. They seemed so much in love when they had gotten married. Jo practically glowed when she said "I do." Even though her father had objected, Jo married Rick. And she deserved it. Rick had a decent family. It wasn't like Jo was marrying into big money, but she had more than .10¢ to her name now. Rick's father hadn't been present at the wedding because he was away on business, but Blair knew that Steven Bonner was responsible. He must have been. Rick wasn't really. He was more of a kidder. But, maybe... Maybe marriage would chage him. She glanced at her watch. She needed to hurry. She was supposed to pick Jo up at the airport at 8:30 and it was almost 8:15. She wrinkled her nose in the mirror, pranced down the stairs, and out the door.

"Where's your plane?" Jo asked.
Rick sighed and ran a hand through his light brown hair. "I don't know. What do you think, J-J?"
Jo's spirits brightened. "Maybe it was cancelled?" She suggested.
"Jo, if you didn't want me to go, then you should have told me. I wouldn't have said yes."
"I didn't say that. Do you wanna go?"
"Of course I want to go!" He saw the hurt in Jo's eyes. "J-J, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you."
The P.A. system crackled on. "Flight 409 to London now loading at gate 16."
Rick smiled. "That's me. I'll call you and I'll write you on the plane. I'll miss you, J-J." His lips lightly brushed hers. "I'll see you in a month." He kissed her for as long as he could then disappeared.
Jo waved and and then tried not to let out the tears that wanted to escape. Then she went to watch the plane take off.
When the plane took off down the run way, Jo tried to swallow the huge lump that had risen in her throat.
The P.A. came on again. "Would Jo Polniaczek please report to the main entrance? Thank you."
Jo smiled. "Blair..." she whispered. Blair was there.

Blair tapped her foot anxiously and looked at her watch again. It had been almost 5 minutes since she had made the announcement for Jo.
"It's Jo Bonner now."
Blair whipped around to face Jo. "Jo!" They hugged. "How was it?"
Jo smiled. "It was wonderful! This is how it started--"
Blair held up a perfectly manacured hand. "Please! I meant, how did it feel letting Rick go?"
"Horrible. How am I gonna make it one month?"
Blair put her arm around Jo. "Don't worry. You've got me!"
Jo looked back to the window where she had watched Rick's plane take off and said, "Take me with you!"
Blair laughed and led Jo to the car.

Natalie, Beverly Ann, Andy, Pippa, and Tootie were waiting for Jo and Blair to get back. They weren't quite sure how to act around Jo.
Blair came through the door followed by Jo who was looking pretty down. "Hello, all!" Blair said cheerfully.
Tootie stood up. "Hi, Blair! Hi, Jo! Gosh, it's a nice day today! You know, that drama camp I applied to in London-- oops!"
Jo smiled. "It's okay, Tootie. I'm gonna go upstairs and call Mom." She went upstairs.
Natalie put her hand on Tootie's shoulder. "Nice one, Tootie."

Blair was worried about Jo. She went upstairs and knocked on the door. "Jo? Can I come in?"
"Sure."
Blair went in and sat down beside Jo on her bed. "Well... here we are."
"Yeah... Here we are."
Blair cleared her throat. "Ahem. Is there anything that you want to talk about?"
Jo shook her head. "No. Nothing I can think of. What about you?"
Blair chewed on her bottom lip. "No. There's nothing I can think of. Yes there is. Jo, I'm worried about you. I know how emotionally draining this is for you. I mean, you get married and yu husband leaves the next morning."
"No, I'm fine... But how am I gonna make it for one month?"
"You write and you call and you rely on your friends and family to help you through it. You'll survive. I promise."
"Maybe... I hope you're right."
Blair smirked. "When have I not been right?"
Jo smirked right back. "Don't get me started! Don't EVEN get me started!"
The End!!!!!!!!!!
Well...

J: Where'd you hear that?

J: Tell Mrs. G we're out of mouthwash!
B: Well, if it isn't the kissing valedictorian.
J: Blair I have a sense of humor just like everybody else, but there are certain things in life we do not laugh at.
The Yankees and what Roy did to me. Never, are you ever to mention that!
