It's an awesome movie, but IMO it would fit better on another Viacom network, Comedy Central.

Exactly. Were talking about TVLand here.
Pavan 08-31-2007, 08:06 PM The sitcom based on the movie aired on TV Land a few years back...the pilot episode at least.
icecream 08-31-2007, 08:24 PM The only good movie TVLand has aired is Grease.

I can't watch that movie on cable cause they always cut part of the scene where Cameron's on the phone with the principal and calls him an a-hole. That's one of my favorite scenes in the movie and to me the whole movie is ruined when they cut it.
Scoobiedoo30 08-31-2007, 09:30 PM it get's a Thumbs up from me

I'm serious, that' a good movie. It's on in 8 minutes
Janice 09-01-2007, 12:13 AM In my opinion, there is no good movie for TV Land. I know I won't be tuning in.
Ireneparalegal 09-01-2007, 12:20 AM I seen that movie in the theatre, on cable, on DVD on regular network, I have seen that movie waaaaaaay too many times and I am sure many have as well. No way, that is just one more annoying movie to watch.
treky 09-01-2007, 03:44 AM I won't be watching because TV LAND shouldn't be showing MOVIES!!!!
They're called TV LAND, not TV AND MOVIE LAND!!!!! They show good movies, I'll give them that, but they're all films from the 80s and 90s that you can see on COMEDY CENTRAL, TBS, ABC FAMILY, etc.
N@N used to show movies YEARS ago; but that was different-they'd only show old comedies from the 30s and 40s (which fit in with their format at the time) and they'd only show them once, at 3 in the morning.

Thankyou.
Brian Damage 09-01-2007, 11:34 AM Solomon, I am shocked at you for posting this. While the movie is a classic, it has zero business being on TV Land. I expected better from you. LOL

Under NO circumstances, should TV Land air movies.

:yeahthat:
Where is the logic here? It is stupid, annoying and downright pathetic. Next thing you know, they will have movie marathon and air several movies in a row.
OH Nuts! 09-01-2007, 02:42 PM IMO, TV Land should stay true to it's focus and air TV shows only. I remember when TV land first came on the horizon it touted itself as a great forum to see old shows. And there were some, but many fine ones no where to be found--for example, Father Knows Best, Our Miss Brooks, Adv. of Ozzie and Harriet, Petticoat Junction., Room 222 etc. If TV Land wants to be creative and try to kick things up a notch a better way might be to have a night where they show really rare sitcoms or 1-hit wonders like Hey Landlord, Gidget, etc. (Of course, just cause a show was only 1 Season doesn't mean it wasn't enertaining, may have fell by wayside because of bad TV exec decisions, bad time slots. etc.) IMO, I'm better off using the $ I save not having cable and investing in DVD sets of shows I love they don't air.
On a more uplifting note, and don't mean to digress, but I remember Ferris Beuller's Day Off. I borrowed it from the Public Library and enjoyed it. Edie McClure always adds somethin nice. Also the great photos of Chicago. Liked Ferris & his buddy too. Dean of Students Rooney was a tool & got his just desserts. But, there are so many great things to see out there I've only seen this twice; if I like a movie I usually watch it immed. once again to really savor it, and rarely revisit it after that. I only go back 3+ times for classics (Citizen Kane, Singin' In the Rain, Wizard of Oz, etc.)
