Happy Long Weekend Everyone! What's going on?

I'm super excited today! Halloween is coming out in the theatres and I'll be there with bells on tonight! :woohoo: I can't wait 'til 6 o'clock when I get off work and head over to the theatre!

Tomorrow I have work all day and night, but I plan on heading to my Mom's house to spend the weekend there.

I hope everyone has a nice Labor day weekend! :)

I may just pass time in Central Park, go to church and maybe do the "today show" at rockefeller plaza. If the tennis open will continue until tommorrow, I would love to go.

* Friday: I had Step Aerobics early this morning, and then I worked for three hours this morning. I'm done with work for the day! I am just planning on relaxing later on today and cleaning up. It's been such a long week at work that I just wanna kick back and do nothing! I usually do this on Sundays, but today is an exception.

* Saturday: I am off in the morning and will work for five hours in the afternoon. Then, I decided since this morning to attend the Fall Crawl downtown. There will be various bands and live music being played for only $10 for wristbands. I will splurge on this event because I have always wanted to attend one of these "crawls." They always have a Spring Crawl and a Fall Crawl:

* Monday: I am invited to a Labor Day picnic, so I am interested in attending.

Tomorrow, I'm going to the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul with my sister. I can't wait - that will be fun! I wish I had been able to go there earlier on this week, because Weird Al performed at the MNSF on Monday. Bummer.

As for the rest of the weekend... no idea either. Heh.

Hey everyone, TJL here.

Good news, I had today off. The bad news I had to work all night to get it!

My brother and I had to work all night to finish a job by this morning. Long story short, I left my apartment at 5:30 yesterday morning, and I got home about 10:00 this morning.

Needless to say I'm a bit groggy today, since I only slept for about an hour after I got home.

So with any luck, I'll be asleep bright and early tonight.

In other news, some of you veteran posters might remember when I broke my right middle finger on a job about 4 or five years back...

Well guess what, I might have done it again - to my LEFT middle finger.

I was cutting some 4" pipe with a torch late last night (or was it this morning...it's all a blur) when I tried to rotate it to continue cutting and the darn thing slipped off the piece of wood it was resting on and smashed my hand pretty good.

So right now my finger is very swollen and very purple. Not very pretty.

Hopefully the swelling will go down. Think I might go to a doctor early tomorrow to have it checked out.

Other than a possible visit to the emergency room tomorrow, this weekend should be pretty dull.

I have Drivers Ed tomorrow and then I'm doing something with Hannah and the cool kids.

Ouch, TJL!! I remember the finger thing - that's awful. Can you make a homemade splint for your finger until you're able to go have it looked at?

Thanks for the suggestion. But I think I'll wait until tomorrow to see if the swelling goes down. Until then, My finger is staying in bed watching TV, eating junk food and avoiding other fingers.

Oh god, it was insane! Lots more gore than the first (but I sorta expected that knowing the director :lol: ) I didn't really like the Laurie Strode character, but then again, I've gotten used to Jamie Curtis' interpretation.

The movie also showed a lot more of Michael's childhood, which I liked.

All in all, a great movie...you'll enjoy it :)

That's terrible. You must have seen stars when that happened. Expect the bruise to get worse before it gets better.

Yes, it hurt quite a bit. And I am sure continuing to work for several more hours didn't help the healing process.

I am taking a 5 hour long flight to go back to my home in Virginia. Now I am in Las Vegas. And well I am not really looking foward cause when I came out here it felt like the flight would never end!!!!!!!!!

Well this weekend is great I get from fri-tuesday off from work so I've got lots planed. Today (Friday) I went with my boyfriend to my highschools first football game of the season we won 14-7 in over time. After that we went to a neighboring town where my dad's old band WestWind was playing at this sports bar so we went there for 2 hours then went home. Tommorrow I plan on watching the first Husker game of the season, which reminds me I better go find my call brick. After That I don't know what I'm going to do maybe go to the last stock car race at Juntion Motor Speedway here in town. Sunday I'm going to church and then just hanging out at home probably catch up on some scrapbooking. Monday Me, my boyfriend and a couple of our friends are going to go fishing for part of the day then go miniture golfing and ride the go-karts at Champions. Then tuesday I'm going to just hang out at home and get somethings done before I have to go back to work.

Tonight I am heading to Costa Mesa to see acouple of bands perform at the Galaxy Theatre; then on Saturday, I am planning on seeing this Aerosmith tribute band. Sunday, I have no plans and on Labor Day, I am going to be hiding in my room, for I am pretty sure everywhere, like the beach, malls, etc. are going to be packed!

My disfigured digit is doing better today. The swelling has gone down a bit and the deep purpleish hue is fading.

I went to the drug store this morning and to get some tylenol and i found a "finger injury kit" with a padded metal splint and a neat reusable ice pack that fits around the finger. Modern science is wonderful.

It's a beautiful day here in the big apple, but I'm inside working on a few of my projects. I have a few pendants to make, some pins to work on and a lighter I have to figure out a design for. Plus I have to give a wall sconce a clear coat of paint.

It just goes to show you that we handicapped people can do many wonderful things.

it's an unusual 103 degrees here in LA :eek: Just got back from my trip in fresno. It was a lot of fun over there I bought a cool Jimi Hendrix shirt and the movie Red Dawn. Also watched 3 movies on dvd You Got Served, Goodfellas and Disturbia. On the way back also bought an expensive :eek: graphing calculator for my trig class. On a negative no I failed my driving permit test for the SECOND TIME :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: I don't know why it's so difficult for me. Also school starts on Sept. 5 and I have no idea what some of my classes will be and I have not finished my summer reading for my honors english class!! so much to do so little time:crazy: !

103 degrees...geez, I am so glad I live on the coast. You know, we drive inland to go to the next city and it is only 10 minutes away, but what a difference in temperature!!!!! :faint: Ugggh!!!:eek: :crazy: HOT, HUMID, MUGGY, STICKY...Ewwwwwwww!

We went to a cookout today. It was a nice day, temperature wise, good food and people. Nice day, all around.

Well, my day has been a little blah...I'm feeling a little under the weather (maybe a cold coming on?) and I haven't done much at all. I did go see my Mom, however---we went to a Home Goods store (I picked up a cute Halloween-esque snowglobe for only $8), then had some pizza together. It was nice :)

I'll probably just spend the rest of my night watching t.v. or sleeping. Gotta get my strength back before school on Wednesday :eek: :wave:

LOL That's what my Father in Law wants. He wants a grandson. We shall see. I think yours truly is destined for all girls. God has a way of blessing you and teaching you a lesson for things you did to girls when you were younger. lol

My weekend was pretty good..My sister and the Kids and her boyfriend came over again, but they went Camping on Saturday with my Uncle they met him at this Camping Site, I didn't go though.. My boyfriend was at the house..and we just hung out .
My brother asked me if he can use my car for a little bit i'm like sure, you gonna be home in a little while ? He said yes! Then he never came home till the middle of the night ( I WAS SOO MAD)!! My boyfreind and i had to walk to the store up the street from me, glad it wasn't raining ! so we got a few drink's for us to sit outside to look at star's so romantic! We went inside about 12ish AM , ( midnight)..Sunday, we didn't do much, Hung out again, we made smores outside with the kid's , those are really good, i've never had them like that before.. i had the candy bar smores and those are really nasty lol. Sunday night we tented out in the backyard, not very far but oh well, LOL.. , We were fine till the Tree frogs and crickets started to act up, so we went back inside, lol..plus it was getting cold outside to. And the neighbors were little loud with music on at 2am in the morning, stupid people i tell you. haha!, That was my weekend, i had a blast! . Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend !..
