Disgraced American Idol star Corey Clark has been fined and placed on two years probation after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The R&B singer, who infamously claimed he had an affair with the reality TV show's judge Paula Abdul, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in North Little Rock, Arkansas on July 30, when marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found on his person.

A warrant had been issued for Clark's arrest after he failed to turn up at an Arizona hearing following a 2006 arrest for trespassing and violating a court order.

At a hearing in North Little Rock District Court last week, Clark was fined $850 plus court costs, placed on two years probation and had his extradition rights waived - allowing officials to transport him to Arizona to face the charges there.
