It looks like those two letters separate the other letters, especially the "Y". Since the next seven seasons of the sport the logo we're all used to, the logo for the first season looks very strange to me. They probably didn't bother spending money on getting a nice graphic for season 1 because they didn't think it would be such a hit. Jinxey 08-31-2007, 10:47 PM During the first season of some 70's comedies like Three's Company and Diff'rent Strokes, the opening logos seem plain. After the second season, notice the letters are outlined in black so that it stands out more (I think in the case of Diff'rent Strokes, it happened in the third season).
