Former Happy Days star Scott Baio is to become a dad after his girlfriend gave him the good news on the finale of his reality TV show. Baio spent a month reconnecting with his ex-girlfriends to find out why he had always backed out of marriage in VH1 show Scott Baio Is 45... & Single.

And the series ended on Sunday with the actor proposing to his girlfriend Renee, who he was forbidden to see during the filming of the show.

That wasn't the only surprise for viewers - Renee revealed she was expecting Baio's baby.

The show has been such a hit in America, VH1 has booked a follow-up series, which will trail Baio and his new fiancee as they make wedding and baby plans.

So much for single life, Scott, you're going to be a papa and you haven't yet reached 46, but don't worry about it. You and Renee had better consider going to the altar, because your days in the single life have now passed. Good luck to you.

The baby is due on December and it will be named Bonnie.

I hope they have a happy life together.

Bonnie...that's my co-worker's name at the White Plains Library. Nice lady, though. At least, they didn't go for the bizarro Hollywood names like something out of a fruit or state. Bonnie is a cute name, though.

good job for scott. I wish them many happy years together as a happy family.

Hopefully Scott will settle down for good.

Since he is having a child, no more playboy adventures for Scott like it use to be in the good ol' 80s...

Scott was on the O'Reilly factor last friday and it was fun to watch that.
I am a bit surprized he is single because I remember the ladies cheered him often on the show.

That is so great. I'm happy for him. I missed the finale of Scott Baio is 45 and Single, but that is great. I hope that they have a great life together.
