What were the titles of the songs that were mished-mashed together to make the $5000-prize contest impossible to win? I think this was another case of replacing the original music (I never saw WKRP when it was on the first time). I don't know for sure - can anyone help?

YMCA - The Village People
Danke Schoen - Wayne Newton

Thank you!
No problem.
I actually went to my collection and forwarded to the scene.
The look on Johnny's face was priceless as the guy rattled off the list.

I wondered why they couldn't just let Johnny go back on the air and correct what he said since they realized it so soon after he announced it. However, I had been wondering the same thing myself on what the songs were that they mashed together. It was a very funny episode, especially being they almost gave the money to the wrong guy!!

I love when the real winner shows up, ID in hand. He says something like, "I came prepared to prove myself. What kind of idiots don't check ID before giving out a cash price?" The looks on the faces of Mr. Carlson, Herb and Les were PRICELESS!!

Thank you! So true. I was like "Hellooooooooo, so you would just hand over cash to anyone who heard the name of the winner?" Geez, they deserved to lose the money.
I missed the first ten minutes of this episode last night, so I can't say whether they played the actual music or not. Did anyone catch the episode last night?
