I've had about half of this on my computer for awhile and finally finished it. Hoping to post another story tonight that I wrote over spring break so look for that late tonight or tomorrow.
This is a FOL/General Hospital cross-over. I am placing this in Season 4 close to the end of the season. I want them at Eastland, but it fudges on GH history a bit. GH watchers assume that Luke has killed Stavros and Laura is back in Port Charles (Did Luke really kill Stavros?!! Not answering that question in this, but I hear Stavros may be coming back.). Don’t worry if you don’t watch GH, you need no past knowledge of the show to read this. I am including a little thing at the end to catch you up with GH history on why I wrote those characters that way in case you don’t watch the show. I’m placing a PG-13 rating on this for some of the material. You have been warned.
Blair, Jo, Natalie, and Tootie were busily preparing the cafeteria for dinner when Mr. Parker arrived with two guests in tow. The girls looked up at Mr. Parker and took note of the three people who followed behind him. Their dress and manners did not fit into upstate New York. The older woman was dressed in an elegant business suit that complemented her tall, slender frame. Several diamonds accented her suit. The young man was college aged with sandy hair dressed in a handsome black suit. The girl, Blair and Jo’s age, had long brown hair. Her clothes were a step down from the other’s, but she still carried the same degree of sophistication that her companions had.
“Girls, where is Mrs. Garrett,” asked Mr. Parker, “This is Helena Cassadine. She is entering her niece, Alexis Davis, in Eastland, but we need to make some arrangements until her dorm room is ready,” motioning to the out of place trio standing in the cafeteria.
“She’s in the kitchen, I’ll go get her,” said Tootie walking towards the swinging doors.
“This is rather quaint,” remarked Stefan looking at his surroundings.
“Sir, this is the best boarding school in New York. Our academic ratings put us consistently on top,” said Mr. Parker.
“It is suitable enough for the mouse,” remarked Helena, “Stefan, you will mind yourself.” Helena wanted to dispense the girl as quickly as she could and before Stefan became infatuated with the blonde one, a mindless twit.
“Who do they think the are,” muttered Jo to Blair.
“I think he is rather handsome,” said Blair.
“You would. You saw him come in and the dollar signs lit up. This just doesn’t seem right,” said Jo.
“I’m with Jo on this one Blair. Look at the way they’re dressed, like they can’t tell it’s 1983,” said Natalie.
“Yes, Mr. Parker,” asked Mrs. G coming out of the kitchen wiping her hands on the towel and then putting the towel on the counter. Tootie followed behind and went to stand with the others.
“Edna Garrett, I would like you to meet Helena Cassadine, Stefan Cassadine and his cousin Alexis Davis. Alexis will be entering Eastland and we have a small housing problem. Could you take her until we are able to prepare a room?” asked Mr. Parker.
“It would be no problem,” said Mrs. Garrett, “she can bunk with the girls the next few nights,” motioning to the four who were observing their new guests.
“The sleeping bags are still around from the last time we had to use them Mrs. G,” said Jo.
“Alexis you will fit right in with these crude surroundings,” Helena said with a sinister smile at Alexis.
“If you want to see crude, I’ll show you crude,” Jo said as Mrs. G grabbed here and pulled her aside. “I don’t like these people, keep your mouth shut now!” Mrs. G whispered as harshly as possible trying to get her point across.
“I surely hope you do not pick up any of these Americanisms, Cousin,” turning his attention to the quiet girl who had not left his side, but instead looked inquisitively at the four girls who interacted like no one she had seen before. The blonde one looked liked she thought of herself as the most important, Stefan if he had time would try to go after her. The black one and the plump one were very animated with their motions. The girl with the ponytail reminded her, of well, no one. In all her life she had never seen anyone like this. The accent was a little different than the others. She could place the Manhattan accents of the blonde one and the plump one, but not this one, and the black girl’s accent was more like the one’s from Manhattan.
“Wonderful. Why don’t you four take Alexis up to your room and help her get settled?” asked Mrs. G.
“Before you go, I would like to meet these four.” said Stefan looking questionably at the four girls who would be cousin’s company for the term. For so long he had been Alexis’s only company and he was jealous of anyone who might take his place. The blonde one would be adequate company, he thought, wishing he could spend more time with her, but the other three he wasn’t so sure about.
“Stefan, must you always dramatize, but go ahead Mrs. Garrett,” said Helena. Helena had already looked over the four girls and the one with the mouth could be a threat, and the blonde one could be of use just to keep Stefan busy.
“Oh, OK. Well, this is Blair Warner,” Mrs. G. said. Blair smiled and waved to Stefan who acknowledged her presence with a slight smile. Moving down the line, “This is Natalie Green, and then Tootie Ramsey, and finally Jo Polniaczek.” Alexis looked at her new schoolmates and tried to process the names with the faces. The last two names were strange too her and she braced herself for Stefan’s question that she knew was coming.
“Surely your parents would not give you those names?” Stefan asked as he directed his question towards Tootie and Jo.
“My real name is Dorothy, but my friends all call me Tootie.”
“How nice,” said Stefan with disdain.
“Oh, it’s Joanna Marie, but my dad’s the only one allowed to call me that.”
“Do you allow many street punks in your school. That accent of hers is unmistakable from the Bronx. I do not want Alexis associating with people of this nature,” said Stefan to Mr. Parker.
“Hold on right there. Jo is one of the best students…,” Mrs. Garrett was about to continue on forgetting the warning she had given to Jo just minutes previously, but Mr. Parker stopped her before she could continue.
“Mr. Cassadine, Jo is an exceptional student. Eastland prides itself in only taking the best,” Mr. Parker answered keeping a strangehold on Mrs. G.
“I am from the Bronx, but if Blair here can get over it, you should have no problem with it,” said Jo sick of defending her home to every upper crust that came to Eastland.
“Stefan, this is enough. Alexis, we must be returning to Greece. Remember what we talked about before,” said Helena leaning down to whisper in Alexis’s ear, “You will not shame this family,” and after a slight slap to Alexis’s cheek she whisked out of the room, “Stefan, come along.”
Stefan quickly stepped forward hugging Alexis and giving her the customary kisses on each cheek and whispering in her ear, “Be strong.”
“If I hear anything whatsoever about harm coming to my cousin, this school will not know what is going on until after it has already happened,” Stefan threatened Mr. Parker before exiting the cafeteria.
“Girls, why don’t you go ahead and take Alexis upstairs. I need to speak to Mr. Parker for a few minutes,” said Mrs. Garrett.
“Right this way Alexis.” Said Natalie. Alexis for the first time smiled a little finally free of the old bat, but sad because for the first time in her life she was without Stefan and followed her new schoolmates up the stairs.
****Kitchen****
“Mr. Parker, I will not stand by and let a stranger insult one of my girls!” exclaimed Mrs. Garrett angrily.
“Edna, I know some of their remarks were uncalled for, but they gave Eastland a large donation for taking her,” Mr. Parker explained.
“They bought her way into Eastland?”
“No, Alexis is very smart. She tested as high as Blair and Jo on the entrance exams and has been privately tutored on their family island. There are some family disagreements at the moment and Mrs. Cassadine felt it best to send her to Eastland,” said Mr. Parker.
“That name Cassadine sounds very familiar.”
“They had some problems in a New York town a few years ago with a weather machine that would freeze the town. Supposedly it was a test run before trying it out on the world.”
“Now I remember. Are you sure this was a wise decision?” asked Mrs. Garrett.
“We need the money and Alexis only has to finish the term. She has already been accepted to Harvard for next school year.”
“Fine. She can stay here until you have her dorm room ready. It will be no problem,” said Mrs. Garrett.
“Thank you again Edna,” said Mr. Parker before leaving.
****Girl’s Room****
The girls entered and Alexis put her bag down on the floor. She looked around the small room and observed the beds along the wall and desk in the center. Each section had a different personality to it that personified each of the girls. Alexis guessed that Blair slept in the first bed, Jo beside her, and the younger girls in the bunk beds.
“Thank you for letting me sleep here the next few nights,” said Alexis uttering her first words to them since she arrived.
“It’s no problem,” said Jo fishing a sleeping bag out from the closet, “Find a space and you can spread this out,” handing the sleeping bag to Alexis.
“Your cousin is awfully cute. Is he seeing anyone?” asked Blair.
“He was, but not at the moment,” muttered Alexis. Stefan was gearing up to battle Helena over the Cassadine fortune. Ever since Mikkos’s death after the ice princess debacle life on Cassadine Island had worsened and worsened. Helena and Stavros were more evil than ever, but thankfully Stavros was dead. Alexis had the bruises and scars to prove that and other marks Stavros had inflicted on her that she could never bring herself to share with anyone, including Stefan. Stefan had been her closest friend over the years and Helena wanted to separate them. Stavros’s wife had given birth to a baby boy, Nikolas, although Alexis had major suspicions that Stefan was the father.
“What year are you?” asked Tootie.
“I’m a senior.” Answered Alexis.
“If you’re a senior, then why are you entering Eastland now? There are only two months left.” Asked Natalie.
“I’ve been accepted to Harvard and Stefan wanted me to become accustomed to life in America before I enter Harvard next fall,” Alexis said. Stefan had made her practice that excuse numerable times so she could say it effortlessly. The real reasons could never be said, not here, not ever.
Jo observed their new guest questionably. Alexis was quiet and reserved. She obviously came from some serious money, perhaps more then Blair, but there was something different about her.
“Tootie and I found out about an art’s festival in Port Charles this weekend,” said Natalie grabbing a newspaper from her bed, “I already talked to Mrs. Garrett and she said we could take the train in the morning and come back that night.”
“Yea, there’s going to be plays going on in the park all day,” Tootie chimed in.
Natalie handed Blair the newspaper, “Oh, it says here that artwork will also be on display. This sounds like it could be fun,” Blair said scanning the newspaper.
“It’s supposed to be really nice this weekend too. I’m game,” said Jo looking over the newspaper Blair handed her.
“Where is Port Charles?” asked Alexis inquisitively. That is the place her uncles wreaked havoc on with their weather machine. She wanted to see the place for herself. There was something else she wanted to see also.
“About an hour train ride,” Natalie answered. “First train leaves at 8 a.m. Let’s be on that one.”
“I agree with Nat. I want to see as many plays as possible!” exclaimed Tootie.
“Come on Nat, let’s go tell Mrs. G our plans” as the two girls ran out of the room.
“If that’s the case, then we better get to sleep. It’s already late,” Blair said, “After all I need my beauty sleep.”
“You’ll get you beauty sleep alright,” muttered Jo.
“Why do you fight like that?” asked Alexis looking up.
“She annoys me,” said Jo matter of factly.
“And you never fear that she will fight back?”
“With responses like “Turn Blue” never,” said Jo.
“One time Jo slapped me, but I more then deserved it,” Blair said taking a break from brushing her hair, “I was pretty brutal. What’s up with questions?” Blair asked hoping to crack her exterior.
“Where I come from…never mind,” Alexis said getting into the sleeping bag and falling asleep. Blair and Jo exchanged a worried glance as Tootie and Nat reentered the room quietly and headed for their bunk bed. The four girls quickly fell asleep.
****Next Day****
Everyone woke up early so they could catch the 8 am train to Port Charles. Mrs. G had packed a basket full of food that the girls could take with them and enjoy for lunch. Nat and Tootie bounded down the stairs into the kitchen.
“Where are the other girls at?” Mrs. G asked to the two eager beavers.
“Blair is still getting ready and Jo is finding some appropriate clothes for Alexis to wear,” Nat answered looking up from her and Tootie’s inspection of the picnic basket.
“I am so glad you girls are including Alexis in your plans for today,” said Mrs. G.
“She seems really nice, just sort of reserved,” Tootie said sampling one of the cookies in the basket.
“Tootie you don’t eat cookies for breakfast! Get some cereal,” Mrs. G said as she scolded the youngest girl.
“Sorry Mrs. G I just wanted to..,” Tootie said trying to talk herself out of the situation and away from the look Mrs. G was giving her, obviously not buying the excuse.
“Nice one Tootie,” said Nat getting the cereal out.
(Upstairs)
Blair was busily preparing herself applying her third layer of make-up. Jo was already dressed, but trying to find some clothes that wouldn’t cause Alexis to stand out like a sore thumb.
“Do you have any jeans?” asked Jo hoping to God that the girl had some jeans packed away in her bag.
“I have one pair that Stefan let me get before I came here,” said Alexis pulling out a stiff pair of jeans that had obviously never been worn before.
“Those will work. Now you need a shirt,” Jo said looking around, “Hey Blair do you have a shirt Alexis could wear that doesn’t have any black in it? No offense Alexis, you need to wear some color!”
“I can’t believe this. Jo giving fashion advice. Here Alexis,” Blair said pulling out a purple pull-over and handing it to Alexis ”Try this.”
“Thanks Blair,” said Alexis as she hurriedly tried to change her shirt without drawing attention to herself.
“You know Blair, if you didn’t need half the day to get ready you could have done it because I don’t like shopping for my own clothes. You’re the one who couldn’t be interrupted.”
“I just got one of my brilliant ideas! Alexis, tomorrow we will go shopping and get you clothes so you fit in more,” Blair said brushing out her hair.
“Run while you can,” Jo said to Alexis turning around to face her, but instead saw bruises and scars that covered the girl’s back, “Alexis, your back! What happened?”
“Oh nothing,” said Alexis shrugging off the question while pulling the shirt on and turning her attention to Blair, “Thanks for the shirt and I would like to go shopping tomorrow. I’ve never really been shopping before.” Alexis turned and left the room heading to the kitchen to join Nat and Tootie for breakfast.
“Blair, did you see her back?” asked Jo.
“Yea, for a split section, but that was long enough.”
“What could have happened and she seemed indifferent to it all.”
“Maybe it’s been happening for so long that she’s immune to it,” Blair said finally finished getting ready.
“I thought there was something fishy about that old bat yesterday. She seemed more then glad to get rid of her.”
“I’ve been here a lot longer than you and I’ve never seen anyone more happy to get rid of their child then that woman.”
“Yea, I’m going to keep an eye on her today. Maybe we can get her to open up.”
“Sounds like a plan. Now lets go get some breakfast. Whose idea was it to take the 8 am train?”
“I believe Nat’s,” said Jo.
“Remind me to tell her it’s a federal crime to be up this early!”
“Just go eat your breakfast,” said Jo motioning to the door.
(Downstairs)
“Finally you are all down here,” Mrs. G exclaimed as Blair and Jo made their way downstairs.
“Blair was taking her sweet time,” said Jo.
“Well I do need every second to look this beautiful,” said Blair tossing her hair over her shoulder.
“I want some cereal,” said Jo ignoring Blair and heading to join the other’s at the table.
“So what are you all planning on seeing today,” asked Mrs. G as she and Blair sat down at the table with the other 4 girls.
“I’m going to see the plays in the park all day,” said Tootie.
“Oh, what are they showing?” asked Mrs. G.
“Our Town, Hamlet, Death of A Salesman,” Tootie said.
“A little of everything,” Mrs. G said.
“The one I want to see is A Doll’s House. It’s about this woman at the turn of the century that gets tired of her husband and children and wants to break out in the world. I want to hear the “door slam heard around the world!” Nat chimed in.
“That is a good play Natalie. I saw it a long time ago,” Mrs. G said, “Now what about the rest of you,” Mrs. G said as she turned her attention to the older girls.
“Jo and I were going to see the paintings on the waterfront and we thought Alexis could come along with us,” said Blair looking towards Alexis.
“I would love to,” Alexis said glad that the older girl’s were including her in their plans.
“That sounds wonderful!” Mrs. G exclaimed. “You girls are going to have a wonderful time. We should get you to the train station so you don’t miss the train! I want you on the 7pm train tonight girls.”
“Sounds good Mrs. G., “ said Jo as she moved to help the others clear up the table.
The five girls gathered their things for the day and Tootie snagged the basket of food. The six somehow squeezed into Mrs. G’s Volkswagen. Mrs. G deposited them off at the train station and just in time for the 8 am train. The train ride went smoothly enough. Alexis looked out at the window the whole time while Tootie and Natalie yammered away about all the plays they would see. Jo and Blair carefully watched Alexis and hoped that they could get her to open up today.
****PC Train Station****
After disembarking the train the five girls looked around and became more acquainted with their surroundings. They passed a newsstand selling the morning’s copy of The Port Charles Herald. Nat stopped to buy a copy.
“I’ve always liked reading different papers and comparing them. It will make me a better journalist,” she said with a smile paying for her newspaper.
“Whatever Natalie. The first play starts in 15 minutes,” Tootie said anxiously not wanting to miss the beginning of the first play.
“Hold your horses Tootie. Let’s get out of the station and then we’ll find out,” said Jo not really wanting to deal with a hyperactive Tootie at the moment.
The girls exited the station and soon found signs directing them to the “Port Charles Art Fair”. The streets were buzzing with people talking about the Arts Fair. One very loud and rich family was making it’s presence known more than any of the others.
“That’s the Quartermaine’s,” Blair said excitedly, “My Daddy has more money then they do,” she said proudly.
“Great Blair,” said Jo and then did a double take on the old man, “Why do I think he’s going to play a role in my life somewhere down the road?”
“Philosophical all of a sudden Jo?” Blair questioned.
“No, I’m just saying.” Jo said.
“Can you all can it for once,” Nat asked in exasperation. She really liked her friends, but the constant bickering was getting on her last nerve.
“Sure Nat,” Jo said.
“I don’t know, It would be scary to be married to one of them, or almost married to one,” Alexis remarked.
“Foreseeing your future too Alexis,” asked Jo hoping to loosen her up a bit.
“No, Just making an observation,” Alexis answered with a genuine smile.
“Enough of this chit chat. I see the stage over there,” Tootie said motioning over to the temporary stage that had been set up to accommodate the day’s activities.
“She must be really excited about this if she doesn’t want to talk,” Nat whispered to Jo and Blair who laughed at the comment.
“What are you talking about? Hurry up!” Tootie said in a huff angry that her best friend and the older girls were talking about her behind her back. Well, it’s not like she hadn’t done it before, but still she really wanted to get a good place in the grass.
The five finally reached a good place on the grass and spread out the blankets they had packed. It really was a beautiful day with a clear-blue sky and in the seventies with no humidity. A prime spring day.
“Enjoy the play. We’re going to go check the art out now,” Jo said motioning to Blair and Alexis. Tootie was already too much into the play to notice her friends leaving and Nat waved them off telling them to, “Have fun” as she turned her attention to Our Town.
The three older girls meandered their way through the crowds and towards the waterfront where the artwork was on display. Blair and Alexis were enamored with the paintings, while Jo looked at them with interest, but also at the people milling around the waterfront. It was an eclectic group of people. This town seemed to be made up of mobsters and doctors and not much else. She figured the doctors must make a lot of money with all the mobsters that ran the town.
After the three girls saw the art Jo and Blair found a perch on the grass that overlooked the waterfront. It was a pleasant enough spot and you could see everything that was going on at the fair. It was time to put Blair and Jo’s plan into action, but Alexis had a different idea.
Ever since Tootie and Nat had mentioned coming to Port Charles she wanted to come. She couldn’t explain it really, except there was one person she had to see who very well had saved her life, because without him Stavros would still be able to harm her. She would be alive, but a shell of her former self.
“You see that man,” Alexis said pointing out the tall, straggly man with curly blond hair walking towards the music stage of the fair. A jazz band was playing right now and he didn’t want to miss it. A young blonde woman was on his arm and they were very much in love.
“Yes,” Blair answered, “He looks a little rough,” she remarked.
“He saved my life,” Alexis said, “I know you all saw those bruises and scars today. I didn’t want anyone to see them, but you saw them and I thought you would ask about them. I’ve never told anyone what I’m about to tell you, but I need to tell someone.” Alexis collected herself as she began her tail. She looked over and saw the man disappear into the crowd. When she looked back over Jo and Blair encouraged her to continue.
“I was born to Alexander and Sophia Davidovich and when I was very young they died in a plane crash. My Uncle Mikkos who is now dead and Aunt Helena who you unfortunately had to meet took me in. Helena never let me forget that I was not her child. Stefan was a savior. He was my best friend. We rode horses and played on the beach. He made sure I got an education so I can enter Harvard in the fall. Helena always abused me. Locked me in the basement. Beat me. I still carry the scars. The fresh bruises were from two nights ago when she wanted me to remind me to be good and not shame the family.” Alexis stopped a minute to control herself. Her voice was starting to waver and the worst part of the story was coming.
Jo and Blair were trying to remain unaffected, but Alexis was getting to each of them in a different way. Jo knew the meaning of a hard life and Blair found it hard to believe this stuff could happen to someone from more money then herself.
“When I turned 13 Stavros decided I going to become his. On my birthday he raped me. When Mikkos found out he lashed out at Stavros and forbid him from repeating his action despite the fact Stavros had every intention of repeating his action, but he didn’t dare cross Mikkos. I never understood this action because Mikkos never took an interest in me before, nor after. That man I pointed out to you, Luke Spencer, killed Stavros when he attempted to rape Laura, the woman Luke was with. I needed to come here and see Luke for myself. I know he murdered my Uncle too, but he saved me from Stavros. The last time I saw Stavros alive he said he was going to rape me again and again because Mikkos couldn’t stop him now. Luckily Helena had enough of my presence and sent me here on Stefan’s recommendation.” Alexis had finished her tale and wiped the tears that had fallen from her face.
Jo looked up and said, “Alexis, your safe now. You’re going to best school in America next year. You have nothing to worry about,” trying to reassure the girl.
“I know. Stefan promised me he would keep Helena occupied and away from me,” Alexis said, “I’m going to law school and I just want to break away from my family. Start a life that has nothing to do with the Cassadine name or fortune. I don’t care if I ever go to Greece again.”
“Alexis, I come from a lot of money, but I never imagined that a rich person could have a hard life. Jo doesn’t have a lot of money, but her life hasn’t been easy either. I just never thought it could be the other way around,” Blair remarked. For the first time in her life, she was almost embarrassed to be rich if it meant there were families like Alexis’s out there.
“The Cassadine’s are a bit different then the Warner’s Blair,” Alexis said, “We come from Russian nobility, escaping during the Russian Revolution to Greece.”
“That is a bit different then my family I guess, but it still makes me wonder. I always thought rich equals easy life,” Blair said.
“Well Warner, you learn something new every day!” patting Blair on her back, “You’re not as shallow as you seem to be, and Alexis, anytime you need a friend, come over,” Jo said looking at Alexis.
“The fact that you want to break away from your family and start a new life is nothing I ever considered. I always thought I would rely on my family,” Blair remarked, “It makes me want to reconsider some of my goals.”
“Blair, you need to do what you feel is right. Like what I am doing is right for me,” said Alexis, “So I go into the dorms on Monday?”
“As soon as Mr. Parker can get you a room, but anytime you want to talk just come over,” Blair said, “And we have our shopping date for tomorrow. After all, if you’re planning on staying the America for awhile you need some appropriate clothes!”
“OK, Jo are you going to come?” Alexis asked.
“Sorry, I have to work tomorrow at the motorcycle shop,” Jo said looking over at Blair, “Really sorry I’m going to have to miss it because I just love shopping with her.”
“Yea, I’m sure Jo,” Blair said, “It’s almost lunch time. We better make sure they haven’t eaten it all. The first play should be over with.”
“Let’s head this way,” Jo said motioning them through the crowd.
“Blair?” Alexis asked.
“Yes,” Blair answered.
“That guy in the picture on your nightstand, is that your father?” Alexis asked.
“Yes that is him,” Blair said, “Why?”
“I don’t know, he just looked like someone from a past life,” Alexis said.
“Weird,” Blair answered.
Alexis, Jo, and Blair made it back to Nat and Tootie who were thoroughly enjoying the conclusion of Our Town. They quickly divided up the picnic basket eating Mrs. G.’s food hungrily and enjoying each other’s company. The younger girls were wrapped up in the play and the older girls thought back to the revelations of the afternoon. Jo had a new respect for Blair. Blair pondered that maybe the differences between rich and poor were not always as clear-cut as they seemed. She was going to have to think more about what she wanted out of life that didn’t concern her family’s money or name. Her conversation with Alexis had taught her a lot.
For Alexis it had been different. For the first time in her life she had opened up to people who were her age. She reveled in this opportunity and wished she could have friends as close as Jo and Blair were and Nat and Tootie were. If she gave it time she would find her own close friends. It was time to start anew and put the past where it belonged, in the past.
Explanations
The characters of Alexis, Stefan, and Helena are played by the wonderful Nancy Lee Grahn, Stephen Nichols, and Constance Towers.
The man that plays Edward Quartermaine, John Ingle, played the minister that married Jo and Rick. Although, I must mention that at the time Edward was being played by David Lewis, but just pretend John Ingle was playing Edward at the time because I couldn’t pass up the opportunity!
The man that played Blair’s father played NLG’s brother-in-law on Santa Barbara. Alexis almost married a Quatermaine this past November. In true soap wedding fashion it didn’t happen.
To catch you up on GH history and explain the backstory. Alexis is the daughter of Mikkos and opera singer Kristen Bergmen, real name Natasha Cassadine. When Natasha turned 5, Helena had discovered the affair and the child, and slit Kristen’s throat on Natasha’s birthday. Mikkos discovered the child hidden in the apartment who had no memories of her past life due to the traumatic experience. He made a deal with Helena that Natasha could come live with them as Alexis, but if she remembered her true identity she was dead. It wasn’t until a few years ago that Alexis discovered she was Natasha, with Luke filling in the spaces. She still has no memories of her life before Alexis. These are the only facts surrounding this story on GH that the writers have dealt with. Many, many fanfic writers have written the Cassadine backstory based on their opinions as I have done. I think I covered all the explanations. Hope you enjoyed it. Please post a reply!!
