Christy: The Complete Series (1994-95, CBS) starring Kellie Martin & Tyne Daly. I loved the show, but Catherine Marshall's novel of the same name is even better!!!!!

"Joan of Arcadia" isn't a sitcom but it only lasted two seasons-and both are out on DVD.

Dusty's Trail -- Bob Denver & Forrest Tucker.

Those are 2 well known actors from Gilligan's Island and F troop. What was the show about?

"Checking In" should be on DVD or part of one of the Jeffersons DVD eventhough there were only 4 episodes or so! LOL

Dusty's Trail was basically Gilligan's Island set on a wagon train in the old west--same creator and writers.

Yes, that would be a nice bonus feature to include on a Jeffersons DVD set.

^Sony should--what else is it going to do with 4 episodes of a series just sitting around in a vault?

What?? It was a wagon train that was lost in the old west?? LOL! Wouldn't it be pretty easy to find civilization if they just hiked their way out?

Sherwood Schwartz created it?

I gotta check it out.

I agree - but the question is when are we going to see the next season of The Jeffersons on DVD? Florence left in season 7, right? If/When Sony ever gets around to releasing season 7 DVD, these 4 Checking In episodes should definitely be included.

Sony has a lot of extra stuff they could use as special features without having to pay extra to produce a bonus feature like interviews/reunions...
they could easily have used certain episodes of shows that they own as special features on the box-sets they have recently released.

For "What's Happening!!", they could have included a bonus episode of "One in a Million" (Shirley Hemphill's short-lived series)

For "Sanford & Son", they could have included a bonus episode of "Sanford" or "Sanford Arms" or even "Grady" for that matter.

For "The Jeffersons", they really should include "Checking In" as bonus episodes.

I think the inclusion of these episodes would definitely drive sales more.

Yes, Checking In should be included on a DVD since NO ONE can find them. Not even Marla Gibbs herself!

Dusty's Trail was basically Gilligan's Island set on a wagon train in the old west--same creator and writers.
it had the same kind of characters as "GI"-the rich couple, the "know-it-all", the girl in show biz, and the actractive girl. (she was played by Lori Saunders of "PETTICOAT JUNCTION")
Also the "guy in charge"-that's who Forrest Tucker played-and his dumb "assistant"-Bob Denver in a reprise of Gilligan.

The Bronx Zoo STILL isn't on DVD. I made a request on Shout Factory a long time ago and no one ever replied. CBS/Paramount seems to be releasing everything in their library on DVD these days so maybe we'll be seeing it eventually. It seems that no one cares to ever see a show about teachers struggling to teach in an overcrowded city school system.

Clerks - The Complete Series
The Critic - The Complete Series
God, the Devil and Bob - The Complete Series
The Oblongs - The Complete Series
Wait Till Your Father Gets Home - Season 1

All animated, but I'd still classify them as sitcoms...

I got Dusty's Trail on DVD and I've only seen about 2 episodes but it's nowhere NEAR as good as Gilligan's Island.

You would think with the same creators and producers it would've been a very good show but it's not.

I can see why it got cancelled and no one has heard of it while EVERYONE has heard of Gilligan's Island.
