View Full Version : Should I Make Fanfiction About The Death of Mrsg? BlairWarner_09 12-31-2000, 05:00 PM Hey should i make fanfiction about the death of mrs, garett please resopond and tell me!! Warner520 12-31-2000, 05:09 PM No !!!! Don't write a story where Mrs.G gets killed ! I noticed you started another topic saying you wanted to write a fanfiction story where someone gets killed. Why ???? TJ 12-31-2000, 05:09 PM Could you please do me a huge favor and post your new fan fictions and questions about fan fiction on the Fan Fiction board? There's a link below the banner, perhaps you did not get a chance to read the topic about it.. Thanks! A.J. 01-01-2001, 01:52 AM I think you should, not that I don't like Mrs. G, I just think it would be interesting FOLrocks1 03-12-2001, 07:39 PM i DO NOT think you should! mrs. gaRRett was probally the most important character. Her character started THE FACTS OF LIFE!!! (from diff'rent strokes) jofan4life 03-12-2001, 08:25 PM I think you should. Even though Mrs. G rules I think that she can't live forever. I mean the only fact of life they ALL haven't dealed with is death of someone close to you(Besides Nat). You can always somehow turn it into a happy ending like she comes back as a guardian angel or something. ------------------ Marsh~Mallow Quotes said by Jo (my fav character) Your born You move on You die Thats life There are people in this world who get shoved around and there are people who do the shovin I thought you liked me in that way that you like somebody when you like them in that way You're so stupid you couldnt spell IQ I hate teaching people how to drive;they're nervous, they make mistakes, and they cry when you slap them Here's to all who wish me well and all the rest can go to... HECK NO!!!! PLEASE!!!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/mad.gif If you read the end of my signature you will see how serious i am abotu this.. although its not JUST the killing of mrs. g.. although that does play a HUGE part in my opinoin.. i dont think that KILLING OFF main characters IS RIGHT!!! so PLEASE DONT!!! ------------------ jo: mrs. g gone on ahead I KNOW i can fix the problem MRs. G: jo only twice in my life have i spoke in an arbitrary manner, once when my ex husband morgaged our home to pay the bookee, and now, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE OR I'LL BEAT YOU WITH MY FRYING PAN!!! Jo: Woaw Nat!! Nice Girls Don't Throw Trees!!! blair: now jo i know we usually dont agree but that was a scuzy thing for your mother to do! tootie: wahts so scuzy about it!?!? dont you read the national enquirer, some of the best people are Shacking up!! mrs. g: TOOTIE!!! im surrounded by x-rated kids!!! ****I AM FOR NO DEATH IN ALL FANFICTIONS!!! DEATH IS WRONG WHEN IT IS TO MAIN CHARACTERS!!! I AM AN ANTI-DEATH IN ALL FAN FICTIONS FAN!!!**** ~FOL85NatandMrsGRock~ *Sarah Lynn* BlairandJo 03-14-2001, 06:37 PM not to start another war but whats wrong with that, its fan fiction meaning fiction its not real, and any way in the reunion movie the might kill off Jo and she is a main part of the facts of life,So why are you making such a big deal over fan fiction. lesliem14 03-14-2001, 07:26 PM This is a somewhat liberal, political science major speaking just to warn you: 1st amendment strictly prohibits the limiting of one's free speech as long as it does not threaten another person. If someone wants to write a fanfic involving the death of a main character whether that is Mrs. G or Jo, and stays true to the way the characters were originally written by the show's writers go ahead. If someone does not want to see a character killed then you have the right to not read that fanfic. No one is forcing you to read fanfics, but it is wrong and against another person's constitutional rights to say they can't write something. It really infuriates me when people start dictating what other people can say, do, or in this case write, especially in this type of forum. Lisa,Blair,GoodGirl 03-14-2001, 07:49 PM You are 100% right I also agree 100% FOL-FAN 03-15-2001, 12:12 AM I agree. As long as it is true to the show you should be able to write about anything you want. Even it is about the death of one of the main characters. After all death is a Fact of Life. coily2 03-15-2001, 10:39 AM Originally posted by lesliem14: This is a somewhat liberal, political science major speaking just to warn you: 1st amendment strictly prohibits the limiting of one's free speech as long as it does not threaten another person. [This message has been edited by Blair n' Jo Rock (edited 03-15-2001).] KerriBerri687 03-15-2001, 08:52 PM omg folnatandmrs.g rock i'm so sorry! my sister just went on and started to edit ur message! i told her not to go on my computer but hse did...i'm really sorry i stopped her be4 she did nething drastic though...i'm so sorry about that! 4GIVE ME! TJ 03-15-2001, 09:13 PM I hate to do this Blair 'n Jo Rock but being a moderator is a responsibility and I don't think your ready to handle it. First it's editing a message, what would stop your sister from deleting the whole message board? I'm sorry but I have to what is in the best interest of the board. KerriBerri687 03-15-2001, 09:28 PM it was an accident. i'm so sorry. i guess since i'm no longer moderator...i should just leave...to the best interest of the board. please...give me one more chance... TJ 03-15-2001, 09:33 PM Ok, I'll give you one more chance. It is nothing personal but being a moderator is a responsibility which you accepted when you were nominated. If there are any more incidents, I will have no other options. Jo Polniaczec 03-16-2001, 06:25 PM nah BlairW_1 03-16-2001, 07:44 PM In case u guys hadn't noticed, this is a really old post, and no one has really been considering it 4 a while. But, I'm always glad to have an old post revived, and I WOULD like to see a fanfic involving death, since it is a major part in life, and we'll all have to deal with it. Since it's all such a big issue, I'll volunteer to write a story about how Jo has to deal with the death of Blair, if anyone wants me too. But I think someone should show initiative and do it, not just talk about it. I mean, no one can kick you off the board if you write a story concerning death (unless it's like... you get the pic.) because it's a free country. There are enough people out there to get a varied response, so most likely not everyone will hate the story, but be prepared for some people hating it, too. I think that a fanfic about death will start a ball rolling, and get more people writing fanfics, since it will open up a new world of ideas for us to experiment with. Thank you for listening to all my blabbing! ------------------ "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." ~*Danielle*~ Go #33! Thank you for listening to all my blabbing! I would read it if you write it.I once read a fanfic about Jo's death and it was really, really good. It would be very interesting to see how Jo if that same thing happened to her (I mean if blair died). I know that such fic can arise serious discussions but I think it would be very interesting at the same time. Besides death IS part of life, so why shouldn't we write about a character's death. As long as it stays true to the show we should be able to write about it. KerriBerri687 03-16-2001, 08:35 PM BlairW_1- you should definatly write that fanfic. i mean, death is a part of life and shouldn't be skipped over. i know i would read your fanfic no questions asked. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif i hope you decide to write it! TVaddict 03-16-2001, 08:41 PM I would definitely read it if you wrote it. I wouldn't write one myself, only because I just don't do death. It's not my thing, but I'd be very interested in reading it. Don't let anyone talk you out of doing something you really want to do. But don't do it just to say you did it, do it because you want to and you think you could do a good job with it. BlairW_1 03-16-2001, 08:46 PM Okay, I'll write it! But it may take a while, cuz I'm writing another about... Well, I'm not telling yet. It would most likely be contraversial, and kind of sensitive, but I think it's pretty good. It's based on some of the local news. ------------------ "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." ~*Danielle*~ Go #33!
