I don't know how many years it's going to take me to stop laughing at fresh prince-lol I knew it was all over for Good Times when I stopped laughing at James Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 12:40 AM Shows closed to being on the list Three's Company Sanford and Son I stopped watching TC for over a decade because I knew all the diologue.lol But now I love it again. TVFactFan 08-24-2007, 12:44 AM I stopped watching TC for over a decade because I knew all the diologue.lol But now I love it again. See TC is a Fun Show to watch and take your mind off things like Fresh Prince, and Married with Children. GT is not the show to take my mind off of a BAD DAY at work-lol Skywalker 08-24-2007, 12:47 AM Roseanne - It was one of my favorite shows back in the 90's, I probably saw each episode about 20 times, mainly in syndication and on TBS. Then when the show came to N@N in 2003 or whenever, I lost interest in the show. I watched a few episodes of that big marathon they had and the show just wasn't funny to me anymore and I really haven't watched it again since. Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 12:49 AM The Cosby Show doesn't do anything for me anymore. I haven't watched it once since N@N picked it up. Skywalker 08-24-2007, 12:51 AM See TC is a Fun Show to watch and take your mind off things like Fresh Prince, and Married with Children. GT is not the show to take my mind off of a BAD DAY at work-lol Just recently, I started to watch Married... With Children again. I really hadn't watched it in about 2 years and I'd almost forgotten how funny Al Bundy was. I'm thinking about getting a few season sets of that show, I only have the 2nd season. Mikado 08-24-2007, 12:53 AM While i never "loved" it, Id have to put the Cosby show top of that list....the Hillman ep killed it forever others, in no particular order: Good Times The Jeffersons Sanford and Son Gilligans Island ( Ive just outgrown it, sorry :( ) Happy Days (Which i deffinately used to love, but, it just seems so outdated now ) Partridge Family Skywalker 08-24-2007, 12:55 AM The Cosby Show doesn't do anything for me anymore. I haven't watched it once since N@N picked it up. Yeah, I can't watch that show either, except when they show the pilot episode. I try to watch that whenever I can. That was a great episode. Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 12:58 AM Yeah, I can't watch that show either, except when they show the pilot episode. I try to watch that whenever I can. That was a great episode. That was a great episode. I wish the quality of that show would have kept up. I got tired of all the preachiness on it especially against Denise. They completely ruined her character. :ohno: MWC on the other hand I can watch over and over again. All it wants to do is make you laugh. TVFactFan 08-24-2007, 01:00 AM Just recently, I started to watch Married... With Children again. I really hadn't watched it in about 2 years and I'd almost forgotten how funny Al Bundy was. I'm thinking about getting a few season sets of that show, I only have the 2nd season. I can never stop laughing at Al Bundy-lol "Women, Can't live With, The End?" LOL Skywalker 08-24-2007, 01:07 AM MWC on the other hand I can watch over and over again. All it wants to do is make you laugh.  Remember this classic statement Al Bundy made about your favorite tv show Friends? "Friends.. don't want 'em, don't need 'em, sure as hell don't want to watch 'em." Skywalker 08-24-2007, 01:09 AM I can never stop laughing at Al Bundy-lol "Women, Can't live With, The End?" LOL  That's one of my favorite quotes from the show! Al always had the best one liners. Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 01:10 AM  Remember this classic statment Al Bundy made about your favorite tv show Friends? I think they even made fun of Roseanne a few times. Skywalker 08-24-2007, 01:18 AM OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!-LOL How bout when Peg spent all the mortagage money and then Al said "You spend all of it? Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 01:21 AM  They bashed a lot of shows on MWC. I think they even made fun of Roseanne a few times. That's why I loved the show. It was never politically correct. TVFactFan 08-24-2007, 01:21 AM  They bashed a lot of shows on MWC. I think they even made fun of Roseanne a few times. The ep when Al didn't want to go camping he said-"I rather watch Roseanne Barr do a Strip Tease" LOL Skywalker 08-24-2007, 01:26 AM The ep when Al didn't want to go camping he said-"I rather watch Roseanne Barr do a Strip Tease" LOL I remember that! I used to love it when Al would make jokes about the nudie bar. Of course, I probably couldn't post the quotes here. Skywalker 08-24-2007, 01:29 AM That's why I loved the show. It was never politically correct.  Did you ever see the lost episode "I'll See You in Court"? I think it has aired on FX before. It was supposed to air in the 3rd season but that lady who's name I forget made a big fuss about the show so Fox never aired it. Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 01:40 AM  Did you ever see the lost episode "I'll See You in Court"? I think it has aired on FX before. It was supposed to air in the 3rd season but that lady who's name I forget made a big fuss about the show so Fox never aired it. I think I saw it a long time ago. Yea she made all that fuss and the only thing she accomplished was making MWC a bigger hit because everybody wanted to see what the fuss was all about. I know the first time I got Fox, MWC was the first show I watched. Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 01:41 AM I remember that! I used to love it when Al would make jokes about the nudie bar. Of course, I probably couldn't post the quotes here. Didn't they have a motto or something about that? Brian Damage 08-24-2007, 01:43 AM The Cosby Show Skywalker 08-24-2007, 01:54 AM I think I saw it a long time ago. I know the first time I got Fox, MWC was the first show I watched.  I saw her on the MWC True Hollywood Story and she was upset that the producers never gave her a gift every X-Mas since she helped make the show a hit. Didn't they have a motto or something about that? Yeah. Here's one from the episode "Rites of Passage". Where the music stinks, and they water the drinks, the nudie bar. Where the girlies dance in their underpants, the nudie bar. Where you see their butt, and their trap stays shut, at the nudie bar. Where you can't touch a breast, but you can cave in a chest, at the nudie bar. Where you look at a thigh, and blacken an eye, at the nudie bar. Where the beer gives you gas, but the Bundys kick ass, at the nudie bar. Mr. Television 08-24-2007, 01:58 AM  I saw her on the MWC True Hollywood Story and she was upset that the producers never gave her a gift every X-Mas since she helped make the show a hit. Yeah. Here's one from the episode "Rites of Passage. That's the one. comedyfreak 08-24-2007, 05:07 AM Full House-Loved the show during its original run but not in syndication there are other shows I'd rather watch instead. Fresh Prince Of Bel-air- I got tired of watching. Cosby Show-Really not all that funny, the first season was the best. ekkostar 08-24-2007, 06:43 AM That would be Wings for me. Some of the jokes got so stale after the millionth time I had seen each episode. Mikado 08-24-2007, 08:54 AM 3 more: Night Court, Taxi and Wings All shows that I was never was all that fond of the first time, so i have no interest in seeing them again. Heidi Dawn 08-24-2007, 11:08 AM Roseanne, liked the first couple of seasons but then lost interest. I don't care to see that show again. Friends, liked the first few seasons, but didn't watch it much after Chandler & Monica hooked up. Family Matters, Urkel overkill. He got annoying after the 100th time being on there. Step by Step, didn't watch the last season on CBS because they dumped the youngest boy for that idiot Rich. Psparks 08-24-2007, 11:19 AM While I never loved it, I would have to say Full House. There's only so much cheesiness(sp?) I can take. ekkostar 08-25-2007, 10:58 AM 3 more: Night Court, Taxi and Wings All shows that I was never was all that fond of the first time, so i have no interest in seeing them again. I'm a huge Night Court fan, but I have to admit that some of the jokes are pretty corny. Most of the time I'm only watching for Dan Fielding and his sexual punchlines are always hilarious. treky 08-25-2007, 10:26 PM MASH-exept for the first 3 seasons. Why couldn't they keep it the way it was then instead of turning it into "The Alan Alda show"? Then when Radar left, that REALLY killed the show. Adamantium 08-25-2007, 11:18 PM None. When I love a show, I stick with it forever. I'll put it away for a while, like I did with "Saved by the Bell," but I always get into it again. There are some shows I've seen so much that I don't laugh at them anymore, but I still watch them for the entertainment or for nostalgic purposes. That's why I love owning all these shows on DVD. Because I can watch a show for a while and literally put it away for a while. Then, when the time is right, I get the DVDs back out and enjoy the show all over again. Classicshowsgurl15 08-26-2007, 02:58 AM Boy Meets World doesn't really do anything for me anymore. I don't really watch it anymore. Mikado 08-26-2007, 03:34 AM I'm a huge Night Court fan, but I have to admit that some of the jokes are pretty corny. Most of the time I'm only watching for Dan Fielding and his sexual punchlines are always hilarious. Ironically, for me, Dan Feilding was the character i couldnt stand....my real problem with NC though, was, it got to the point where, if someone claimed to be an alien, for instance, by the end of the show, you knew he WAS an alien, they got predictable at trying not to be! Chocoholic 08-26-2007, 03:57 PM I think that just about any show I loved watching as a kid would fit in this category. |
