I personally preferred Donny and Marie. Musically they are far better than Sonny and Cher. Their shows are far more entertaining than Sonny and Cher. Their monologue is more funnier and comes off more spontanieous than Sonny and Cher. Donny plays the goofball more natrually than Sonny. Sonny seemed to try too hard and it got nerving to watch.

I feel completely the opposite...Sonny and Cher were serious musicians unlike the family fluff of the Osmonds and their variety show was much better , funnier and had better guests. ( I will admit the S&C show was totally aukward to watch, after the divorce )

I've never actually seen Donny & Marie. However, I have seen Sonny & Cher and thought it was hilarious. Especially (and really only) Sonny. I watched the show back when TV Land used to air it.
