We all love and admire Sam's heart necklace :heart:. I have watched every episode from the beginning and I finally noticed a time when she didn't wear it. It is in season three, the third episode entitled "Witches and Warlocks Are My Favorite Things." In the beginning scene a white sphere floats into the Stephens' bedroom. Sam gets up and she is not wearing the necklace.

This is the first episode I noticed where the necklace was gone. Was there one earlier that I missed, or is this the first one where she is without it?

The heart necklace is back for most of the rest of the series, except the last couple of seasons. The necklace was a gift to Liz Montgomery from her then husband, Bill Asher (the producer/main director of Bewitched). Somewhere along the line, she lost the necklace and had a couple replacements made of rhinestones (the original was made of diamonds).

The Ashers' marriage began to fall apart as the show wound down - Sam was usually wearing a choker with an "S" charm. I read somewhere that EM gave the rhinestone heart necklaces to a couple of ladies who worked on the Bewitched set when the show ended.

I have a white gold pave diamond heart necklace, too - I bought it a couple of years ago at a jeweler's in my local mall. It's a bit smaller than the one on the show, but I wear it almost every day and love it. :heart: :D

Cat- I remember you mentioning that you had the necklace. That is very cool. I was kind of surprised to see this scene without the necklace as early as the third season. Sometimes we didn't see it because she wore a higher-necked top. Usually they designed her outfits to display the necklace, but in this nightgown scene it was absent. I noticed it immediately.

I'm dressing up as Samantha this year for Halloween (I'm going to a costume party, and my office is having a contest for best costume) - and my heart necklace will certainly be part of my ensemble!! ;)
