View Full Version : ESPN hires nothing but ex-Cowboys to analyze in the studio
GARFIELDKOOL 08-20-2007, 07:07 PM Look at their studio team. Keyshawn, Parcells, and Emmit Smith. They already had Michael Irvin. No one can't tell me that ESPN favors the Cowboys more than any NFL franchise. They already get the most press on their shows. They probably have a spot waiting for Tony Romo in ten years.

I wish they had hired a ex cowboy to do Monday Night Football instead of Goofy ass Jaws-lol
Mr. Television 08-20-2007, 07:20 PM I wish Theisman was still there. He was a Redskin but he was a darn good announcer.

Nothing wrong with that! Afterall, I am a Cowboys fan.
I can understand why you'd think that though. I'm sure I'd be pissed off if they had a bunch of former Eagles, Bills or Redskins working for ESPN. ;)

Yea I'm actually sad to see Michael go. I like Emmitt but Michael was pretty good in the studio and he was way pro Cowboys.

Oh yeah, he was more comfortable than Emmit Smith is tonight and he was on SportsCenter-lol But I can defintely see him on ESPN, Jaws never did sh*T so he doesn't even belong on ESPN
GARFIELDKOOL 08-20-2007, 07:46 PM Yeah, you can tell Emmit doesn't have that feel yet. he seems kind of stiff.
GARFIELDKOOL 08-20-2007, 07:47 PM I wish Theisman was still there. He was a Redskin but he was a darn good announcer.
Theisman was a homer just like Jaws and Michael Irvin, I will admit.

I know a lot of people say that but I never really noticed....not to that degree anyway and I really didn't care for him in the 80's when he was playing. lol

He is doing everything wrong, smiling too much, too figgety, and studdering-lol

You probably were celebrating in '85 when LT ended his career, huh?

Emmitt has never been to comfortable in the public spotlight as far as speaking is concerned . I really don't know how well he's going to do there.

I do remember that game but no I wouldn't want any player to go out like that. And I disliked Taylor even more.

The main problem so far is Emmitt showing his TEETH to much-lol He needs to cut down on the smiling

I didn't like how Lavar Arrington ended Troy Aikman's career. Looking back now, Lavar is a selfish ass hole, and Troy is the best analyzer in the game and a classy guy.

Aikman always seemed too fragile too me-lol If you breathed on him hard you could dislocate his shoulder

Fragile or not, he always had good games against us. I hated him when he threw that bomb to Rocket Ismail in the OT thriller opener in 1999.

You're thinking of his last years though, after he had all those cuncussions . I was even asking that he be replaced. But during the SB Glory years he could take a hit. He was hardly ever knocked out of games.

I don' think that game aired in the philly area-lol
GARFIELDKOOL 08-20-2007, 08:13 PM I don' think that game aired in the philly area-lol
It was aired up here in western NY. I am sure the Eagles were playing at the same time as to why it didn't air in your area because this was a 1:00 game.
Mr. Television 08-20-2007, 08:20 PM I've never had any problems watching Cowboys-Redskins games. They've just always been on wherever I've lived.

So well put!!! ;) :D
I also agree with your second statement though. Can't add anything different.

I think it's ok as long as former players don't play the homer role. I like thwem to make me forget they played football

Well this is the year to show whether he is a joke or not. Real simple, if the cowboys are not in the playoffs he is a joke, if they are he is not a joke
