It was a cold morning, Rick Bonner stood in the kitchen pouring himself a glass of milk, he heard the door slam open behind him. Jo stormed in, holding her gun and threw herself into a chair

R: Uh? Bad day at work Hun? He smiled to show Jo he was only kidding

J: Oh!! You dont know the half of it!! She screamed so loud blair could hear it, they were now neighbors.

R: Well what happened!?!

J: Om sorry, uh I didnt mean to yell, its just...

The phone interrupted her, Jo sighed

J: Ill get it. She picked up the phone. Hello, Bonner residents. She said in a chirpy perky little voice, Rick knew she was mad at something

J: This is she...Oh my G-d. Jo put her hand over her mouth in shock. Tears began to quickly stream down her face. Well, thank you she said in a week voice

R: What, Who was that

Jo started to hystericly cry, she felt her knees buckle and began to fall but Rick caught her

J: It was the hospital, Alexis was shot

Rick sat Jo down in a chair so she wouldnt collapse.

R: Is she alright?

Jo shoke her head and mumbled uh uh

R: IS SHE DEAD!?!

J: No

R: Will she die? He wouldnt normally ask this question he just blurted it out

Jo started to cry again and put her face down on the counter. Rick drew a deep breath Ill get the coats he said in an uneasy voice.

Sorry i have to go but tell me what you think so far Ok?

Hi Im Back...Im Glad you like it... Well here we go!

(Hospital waiting room)

Jo just sat there stareing at the wall, her hands were shakeing so bad her whole body was shakeing. Nothing Rick could do would make her feel better, she knew Alexis might make it, but she already missed her. Rick walked in trying to balance two cups of coffe, he sat them down on the table beside them.

R: Honey the doctors said that there isnt anything we can do right now, shell be in sugery until 9 right now its 3AM. Come on you need your sleep

J: But I... I dont feel like i can drive right now... and...

Jo was looking for reasons of why she had to stay, she didnt want Rick to know how scared she was.

R: Come on. He tried to get her to stand up beu she resisted him. Honey theyll call us if any thing happenes. This time she let him walk her out.

The entire ride home she wanted to say turn around, she wanted to sceam it but she was too exausted to open her mouth, let alone speak. The entire car ride home they were silent, as if someone had died.

(AT the Bonners house)

Jo ran into the kitchen and sat on the floor next to a little cabinet with a lock on it, she fumbled through her purse and pulled out a key. Rick walked in while she was opening the doors.

R: What're you doing

Jo pulled out a six-pack of beer and threw it on the table and put the key back in her purse.

J: WHat does it look like im doing?

R: Jo, you never drink.

J: Never, and with that she took a big sip.

R: ARe you planning on drinking all of them, or what, huh?

J: Unless i pass out, whichever comes first, but when i do, please carry me up the stepps, please?

R: Um? Yeah il do that, i guess?

J: Thank you.

About 20 minutes later jo finishe off the last one. This was more than she had ever drank at one time, Rick was a little nervouse, he was scared for His daughter and his wife.

Jo started to stand up to get some more but collapsed, Rick caught her.

R: Well, that was fast. He picked her up and staggered up the stairs, he was exausted, it had been a long day for both of them.

( The next morning)


BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Jo felt around for the alarm clock by the side of her bed.

R: Jo we have to go to the hospital now

J: why did you set the clock, dont you have any respect for the dying. Her head was pounding and she couldnt remember what had happened.

J: Rick what happened?

R: You were real upset and you got drunk and passed out

J: oh ALexis, she needed me and what did i do, I got drunk thats what i did, some help i am.

R: Look its alright, she got out of surgey an hour ago she should wake up anytime now.

J: SHes Gonna be alright?

R: Uh Maybe...

J: Oh my... I forgot to call Blair, i have to call her.

R: you do that, your already dressed anyway.

Jo grabbed the phone off the hook and quickly dialed the number...

R: Hello!

J: Blair?

R: No this is her daughter Racheal, can i take a message?

J: Its me Jo, uh Mrs Bonner, is your mother there?

R: No shes still asleep, whats wrong

J; I guesse i can tell you, Alexis was shot

R: Oh my G-d, how could this happen, tears began to form in her eyes

J: I dont know... Tell your mom to meet us a the hospital in 15 minutes alright?

R: alright ill tell her right now... see you in 15 minuetes.

Jo hung up the phone and started to cry.

R: Come on honey we have to go.

J: Rck theres some thing i have to tell you, i was gonna wait until tonight but with Alexis.. well you know.

R: what is it? he put his hands on her shoulders.

J: Rick im 2 months pregnant.

I have to go for now, what do you think

J: I know what your gonna say, i shouldnt have had that last drink...but

R: Last drink? you shouldnt have had the first drink, he held her hands, Jo that was very dangerous for the baby, Please, dont do that anymore, alright.

J: ALright, she hugged him as tight as she could,How much did i have anyway?

R: A six pack, i thought it would take more to knock you out but...

J: Come on lets get outta here, i gotta see Alexis.

R: Me Too.

(In The car)

The ride was really bumpy and Jo was looking kind of sick.

R: Jo are you alright, you dont look so good.

J: Its nothing, just my stomach is killing me... Ugh, literally.

Rick put his hand on her knee and glanced at her.

J: Yeah uh... Jo grabbed her stomach and passed out.

R: Oh G-d. Please let her be OK, he picked up speed on the way to the hospital.

(Hospital Waiting Room)

Rick comes running in, he dosnt realize Blair is there.

R: Help! Sombody my wife passed out on the way here in the car. Hey! We need a doctor!

D: Hello! Im Dr. Snowden, whta seems to be the problem?

R: My wife passed out in the car! Well do something!

D: Get a wheel chair over here right now, and clear a room! Sir does your wife have any history of medical problems?

R: Uh...No, well shes under alot of stress and shes pregnant, she said it hurt.

D: Alright we'll do our best.

The nurse came in with Jo, she was awake now.

J: Rick what Happened?

R: Honey you passed out but you seem ok now, right?

D: Were just gonna check her out to make sure every things alright, Ma'am were gonna have to ask you a few questions ok?

J: Ok

They wheeled Jo into a nearby room. Now that Rick was alone he let out all of his feelings and sat down and cried. He still didnt realize Blair was there.

B: Rick are you alright?

R: Oh, Blair i didnt know you were here. He fought back the tears.

B: Its ok to cry Rick, I know how you feel. She put her hand on his shoulder. Then Blair got this look on her face like something had just dawned on her. Wait Rick, did you say Jo was pregnant.

R: Yeah. He smiled a little but he was still kind of teary. He sniffled.

B: Oh, well that would explain the fainting.

R: She was also drinking, a six pack.

B: (sigh) Well i have to admitt that was pretty dumb, but considering the circumstances, you know with...

Rick interrupted her. Isnt Racheal here? He really wanted to change the subject.

B: Yeah shes in the bathroom.

R: Oh.

RA: Mom Im back, Oh Mr. Bonner your here. She took a deep breath, Wheres your wife? SHe is here isnt she?

R: Yes she passed out, but to make a long story short shes fine.

Rick started crying again.

J: Rick?

R: Jo? your back?

J: Yes im fine, ARe you?

R: Uh no not really.

J: Guesse what the DOctor says there is a 75% Chance Alexis will make it! They think shes gonna be ok!

R: On honey thats Great. He gave her a hug.,

Racheal looked up, she sighed and said"thank you" You know what mom? she asked.

B: What she said with a smile

RA: I hate to admit it but im happy, shes ok... she giggled.

B: Oh G-d that sounds like something id say about Jo.

Jo looked at her and smiled.

Dr Snowden walked up

D: Mr. ANd Mrs. Bonner? Your daughter just woke up, you can see her now.

J: Uh? Rick why dont you? i have to talk to Blair.

R: Alright.

Jo sat down next to Blair.

J: Blair, guesse what?

B: Your Pregnant.

J: Rick told you?

B: No i was here when you came in, i was really worried about you, you know that?

J: Thanks for coming Blair.

B: so she was shot?

J: Yeah.

B: Whatre you gonna do about it?

J: You know, police stuff, questioning, arresting, sentencing...

B: Ha, I get the point.

D: Mrs bonner, you can see your daughter now.

J: Thanks, and thank you Blair.

B: I didnt do anything.

J: Believe it or not, you did.

The two women hug and the camera backs away and fades out.
