I've finally realized why Thelma was more mature than JJ, even though he was older. Girls mature about two years earlier than boys, and JJ and thelma were only one year apart.

Yes. Just because you spew "I'm A Proud Black Panther!" "Black Power is the greatest power of all!" Whites are bad! Blacks are good!" does not make you mature.......................... Thelma seemed to possess a maturity that the other two didn't have.

The reason Thelma was more mature was because JJ was a fool, plain and simple. JJ probably would have acted the same even if Thelma was older.

In addition, the show was airing during the 1970's, when feminism was at its heyday.

You think that Michael was all about that? You really don't understand what he really represented.

I feel where you're coming from but I do think that Thelma still had more maturity than both brothers.
