Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer won't be playing House anytime soon. The stars of Fox's hit medical drama have decided to end their eight-month engagement, their publicist Danica Smith confirms.

As recently as last month, the couple appeared happy together, with Morrison even flashing her engagement ring for paparazzi at a party during the Television Critics Tour.

Despite their personal split, the two will continue to work side by side on House, which returns Sept. 25. Morrison also stars in Lifetime's The Murder of Princess Diana , premiering Aug. 25.

I'm sorry to hear that - I like the show and think they made a cute couple. Well - those things happen. :(

Ironically I just saw a wedding magazine at work with her on the cover.

I heard this news when I was on vacation. I have to say that I was not surprised. Things seemed to have happened quickly for them. Additionally, their careers are branching off in different directions outside of "House." It seems that being involved with a co-star in Hollywood is a tough game to play. It is good that they made their decision now rather than afterwards.
