Knowing that the age of 40 is anathema to a lot of Hollywood studios and projects in reference to actresses, Catherine Zeta-Jones said it wouldn't be that hard to cope with not working in Hollywood if roles offered her began to diminish.

Zeta-Jones said about the possibility: "Everything I do with my acting is a bonus. It's like a hobby. I'm not one of those people who are so self-centred that they just have to do it.

"I do the best I can with my work and when I hit 40, maybe things won't change. If (my career) falters, that's fine by me. I just think it's good I'm aware of the possibility of that."

She has said before that family comes before acting, and is much more discriminate in choosing if she's even going to take a role in a film if offered.

More than likely she'll have a long steady career in film if she chooses to. Those that want something less can usually get something more.

Of course it's a hobby for her. She's rich, she's married to a rich and famous actor and she doesn't have to worry about a thing. It's easy for her to dismiss a downturn in her career because whatever happens, she'll be provided for.

I really liked Zeta-Jones when she first emerged - she was beautiful and had some spark. But her ego has just dwarfed all that. It'll be interesting to see if she gets plastic surgery in the coming years to try and compete with younger actresses.

She needs to change hobbies.

I think she's got a great attitude and her priorities are in order. I've noticed that since got married and had children, that she's made fewer movies. It's great that her kids are being raised by their actual mother. From the sounds of it, it doesn't matter to her if she ever makes another movie. I also think she's the most beautiful woman in Hollywood today.

Ethan Hawke should have married her.

I'm with Janice and Irene, here, I think shes got her priorities straight. She enjoys acting but, her family is her first concern, whats wrong with that?

Too many actresses have kids, but keep putting their acting in the forefront. I think if Catherine were married to Joe Schmo and she had kids, she would still be a great mother, whether she was at home or working at job.

I believe she of course put acting in the forefront when she was single, had no real obligations, no kids, no man. NOW, she is married, has kids and she can just enjoy being a mother.
