came charging at you with a baseball bat because of getting hit, what is the first thing you would do?? Stand there and not move and suffer possible broken bones or run like hell around the baseball field until the guy is wrestled to the ground? This pitcher in a Independent Atlantic League baseball game hit a guy with a pitch and the guy was charging at him with a baseball bat and ended up giving the catcher a concussion and fracturing the finger of the pitcher. Saw this on ESPN last night and the guy with the bat was arrested. But why would the pitcher not RUN?????-lol No way am i goign to continue standing there and see a guy coming with a bat. Anyone else??

Exactly, someone would have caught that guy very quickly so it would have not been a LONG RUN!!!!!!!!-lol

Hard one...i mean, theres no doubt that if *I* ever hit a batter it would be because im just a lousy pitcher, so, my instinctive reaction would be to try to stand there and appologise, however, if he had a bat in his hand, that might change quickly!
