--Creator Joe Lawson said the show is not about the same cavemen from the ads. "I always see it as these cavemen are the cousins of the cavemen in the commercials," Lawson said. "So the guys in the commercials are doing their own thing and living their own lives, and then ours are kind of off on their own tangents. There may be some similar crossover, but it would be incidental if that happens."

and that's probably what's wrong with the show. The one's in the ads are actually funny.

I agree, the Geico actors have those characters down pat. It is not to say that I don't think these guys can't do it, but it is things like simple facial expressions that made those Geico Cavemen funny.

say, shouldn't this show be in the "One year Wonders" section?

...or are we waiting for the "Cancelled 2007 Sitcoms" section first?

That's a bummer! I want the commercial actors to be the same ones that'll be in the show. It's like seeing a movie & the part 2 has totally different actors to replace the original ones...it's never the same. It would be a real shame if the commercials are better than the actual show. In fact, the actors in the show better be just as funny or morseo, otherwise, I think this show will flop.
