I usually buy mine off Amazon.ca and sometimes if I find a good deal I'll pick up a few at Wal-Mart.

On the day of release, I usually go to Best Buy or Target depending on who is carrying what I want to buy. They are the closest stores to me.

I haven't actually bought any tv dvd's yet (waiting for sales and other shows to be released) but when I do, I probably would buy from deepdiscount.com, familyvideo.com, or amazon.com. If there is some huge deal, I'll buy it from best buy, target, circuit city, etc.

Ive found that in this area, HMV music stores have the best prices on DVDs

I have found few at mckays its a used book store. I found sevral used dvds their. I do get good deals at deepdiscount.com

Theres a lot of people who buy from them....especially when they have those 20% sales.

I pretty much do most of my TV on DVD shopping these days online mostly thru:
Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, DeepDiscount.com, and Mediadis.com. Any other deals I find are in local previously viewed DVD shops. Also try to watch for any DVD thru Amazon and Deepdiscount.

Amazon and Ebay - only cos I live outside the US so have to do it online. If I lived in the US and had a big department store nearby I'd probably have double the dvds I have now purely because of impulse buys.

Usually amazon pre-order since it's usually 30% off retail price. For the cheaper DVDs under $20 almost always Best Buy. For DVDs that have been out Coconuts/Fye for used DVDs. I get great deals there. Sometimes ebay.

For online shopping, http://www.pricegrabber.com/ is a great resource to check the best price for a dvd set. Input zipcode and it will check how much is shipping + plus sales tax (if there is any). I use this site quite frequently.

I try to check out Target every week as they usually have a special sale on specific sets for $19.99 - but I also go to Best Buy and Amazon.com. I have gotten a couple sets at Gamestop and FYE but around me they don't usually have many sets for sale. And I try to catch a bargain whenever I can. :)

I tend to buy 90% of my TV-DVDs at Frys for two reasons, the first, because Frys has the best selection and second, their prices are pretty reasonable. The 10% of my TV-DVDs are from Wal*Mart, because the do have the best prices, but their selection is weak, especially when it comes to classic television shows.

Exactly. I was once able to get "Hill Street Blues" S1 for about $20 there one time. They also had "Taxi" S1 for a little while, but I forbore from it because I didn't think that it would be any good. Now, having rented it from Netflix, I'm regretting the decision to leave it at Wal-Mart, because "Taxi" is so hilariously funny; the problem is that Wal-Mart doesn't have it anymore. I'd like to eventually get it for Christmas or my birthday.

I usually get mine at J & R Music World in NYC. Often when something new comes out they have a huge sale. I got my 24 ep set of The Best of The Adv. of Ozzie & Harriet there for $22.99 and it was at least $29.99 elsewhere. I'd say I get 75-80% of my Sitcom DVD's there.
