Season # 5
(sitting at the table in the living room Natlie/Jo/Blair are playing a game of cards waiting for Blair to take her turn)
Natalie: Blair would you stop taking so long
Jo: yeah by the time you go will see what color your hair really is (flips her hair with her hand, and Blair slaps the back of her hand)
Blair: alright alright Jo (she looks at her cards,and then turns to Jo)have an 7's
Jo: (with a smile of relif on her face she says) go fish
Natalie: (Natalie takes a look at her cards and turns to Jo) Jo gott any 7's
Jo: Sure here you go (hands natalie the cards)
Blair: Wait a minute (tosses her cards down on the table and raises her voice) why didn't you give me them to me
Jo: (looking at her cards trying to act smug) I didn't like the way you asked
(Blair gets up in a huff just as Mrs. Garrett enters the room)
Mrs. Garrett: is she back yet
Jo: Mrs. G calm down
Mrs. Garrett: I can't calm down (she starts to panic and pace the floor) she should have been back 2 hours ago
Blair: (walking up to her) I'm sure Tootie will have a good reason for being late (she puts her arm around her shoulder for support)
Mrs. Garrett: (puts her hand over her mouth just for a second in worry) anything could happen to her out there
Natalie: (gets up from the chair and walks over to them)yeah she could get killed, rapped, murdered, mugged, her body tossed in a ditch somewhere like yesterdays……..
Mrs. Garrett: (intrupts her and starts raising her voice) natalie please I don't' want to hear that
Blair: listen (goes over to put on her coast) why don't I go check by the play house maybe she's still there (gives her a smile for support)
Mrs. Garrett: Thanks Blair call me if you hear anything
(Just as Blair was buttoning up her coat Tootie enters the room Mrs. Garrett turns to her and is glad she's home but she's still concerned)
Mrs. garrett: (raising her voice) Tootie where have you been
Tootie: Hi Everyone (not even paying attention to Mrs. Garrett she takes off her coat like every things fine gosh you wouldn't believe what an evening I had (goes over to sit on the couch Mrs. garrett joins her)
Mrs. Garrett: tootie where have you been
Tootie: Oh I'm sorry after rehersale we all sat around talking about Friday nights cast party (Blair takes off her coat and hangs it up)
Mrs. Garrett: Girls would you excuse us please (Natalie/Jo/Blair all head upstairs to there bedroom)
Mrs. Garrett: Tootie we need to talk
Tootie: Look Mrs. Garrett (gets up from the couch and starts to act like a brat)I already said I was sorry for being late can't we just leave it at that
Mrs. Garrett: (gets up off the couch and walks over to tootie) No we can not Tootie your grounded for 1 month
Tootie: I'm what (asking like she doesn't believe her)
Mrs. Garrett: your grounded (screams it at the top of her voice she starts to walk towad the stairs Tootie follows her)
Tootie: Mrs. Garrett I already said I was sorry (Mrs. Garrett starts climbling the stairs)now what more do you what
Mrs. Garrett: (Mrs. garrett turns back towards tootie and goes back downstairs) I want a little honesty and a little trust I want you to treat me with the resepct that I deserve. (toss her hand up in a dymantic way) I don't want to be worrying about you all hours of the night I want you have common sense and call someone when your going to be late (she pauses for just a moment) now get upstairs and go to bed
Tootie: (still acting like a total jerk) Mrs. Garrett I'm sorry ok, but I can't miss the play I've been rehersing for weeks
Mrs. Garrett: (in a very calm voice) Tootie I'm only going to say this once more (pauses for just a moment and then screams at the top of her voice and points to the top of the stairs )GET UPSTAIRS AND GO TO BED (Tootie quickly run upstairs with Mrs. Garrett right behind her)
(Tootie enters the room madder then ever The girls are all sitting in there beds)
Natalie: Tootie what happened
Tootie: I'm grounded that's what happened. (crosses her arms, turns her head towards the door and shouts) She can go to Hell as far as I'm concerned
Jo: (getting off her bed she walks over to tootie and starts yelling) Hey I outta smack your teeth out of your mouth I don't want to ever hear you say that about Mrs. G again
Tootie: Jo who's side are you on
Jo: Tootie you were suppose to be back at 9:00 oclock Mrs. G spend 2 hours worrying and thinking god knows what why don't you stop being such a selfish brat and start thinking of other peoples feelings (Tootie just gives her a look a dirty look walks past her and goes into the bathroom
(the next morning JO/Blair/Natalie/Mrs. Garrett are having breakfaast at the table in the dining room Blair is pouring herself a glass of Orange Juice)
Jo: Blair since you got the OJ over there can you pour me a glass (moves her glass in her hand across the table to Blair so she could pour her a glass. Blair puts down the cartin and closes it)
Blair: No
Natalie: (after taking a bit of bacon and not realizing what just happened)Blair could you pour me a glass of Orange Juice (puts her glass out for some orange juice)
Blair: (picks up the cartin and opens it) Sure here you go Natalie (pours her some orange juice)
Jo: why would you pour a glass for her and not for me
Blair: (trying to sound like Jo did the night before)I didn't like the way you asked
Jo: Oh that's real mature Blair (graps the orange juice from the other side of the table next to blair and pours herself a glass) your just getting back at me for last night
Mrs. Garrett: Girls please I don't want to hear no arguing this morning (Tootie enters the room from upstairs Mrs. Garrett goes over to her) Tootie after breakfast I want you to strip the beds and wash and dry all the begging. (Tootie begins to put on her jacket and grap her books) While there washing, you can get started on the windows
Tootie: sorry no can do I have a prior engagement (starts to leave)
Mrs. Garrett: (walks up right behind her) Excuse me but you don't have any prior engagements they were cancelled last night
Tootie: (turns towards mrs. Garrett puts down her books) Ok if you insist I"ll stay here and clean today let me just go change my clothes (Mrs. garrett has a tiny smile on her face and tootie heads back upstairs Natalie gets up from her chair and walks over to her)
Natalie: Mrs. Garrett aren't you foretting something it's Wednesday we have school
Mrs. Garrett: (without hesitations she yells for Tootie upstairs) tootie get your uniform back on you (a few minutes later Tootie comes back downstairs) can get started today after school
Tootie: mrs. Garrett I have rehersale today after school
Mrs. Garrett: I called Mrs. Moldoun today and told her to drop you from the play
Tootie: (graps her stuff in a mad huff, and heads towards the door, the opens the door, and just before she steps out she turns back to Mrs. Garrett) Will see about that I'll see you after rehersale
Mrs. garrett: (Running to the door she tries stop her but it's to late) Tootie don't you run out of here Tootie, Tootie (she slams the door shut and turns back towards the living room) AHHHHHH I don't' know what I'm going to do with that girl
Jo: (gets up from her chair and starts punching her hand into her fist) listen mrs. G just give me 5 minutes with her I can straight her out (has a big smile on her face)
Blair: and break all her teeth at the same time (also has a smile on her face but not as big)
Natalie: (takes a sip of orange juice) don't worry Mrs. Garrett (Trying to reasure her) Tootie will come around
Mrs. Garrett: (she shows a small smile on her face) Thanks Natalie but I'm not so sure (the smile quicly fades)
Blair: Well I'd better get going (she starts to put on her coat and grap her purse) Natalie I'll give you a ride to school
Natalie: Oh great thanks (stands up and finishs the last few sips of orange juice) I'll just go get my stuff (natalie heads upstairs)
Mrs. Garrett: (Jo continues to eat her breakfast, and Mrs. Garrett turns towards her) listen Jo would you mind clearing the table this morning I have some errans to do
Jo: Sure no problem my first class isnt' for a couple hours (Mrs. Garrett goes over to the closet, and gets out her coat, and leaves out the front door)
Natalie: (Natalie comes back downstairs ready to go) Another day in the hallow halls of Eastland awaits me
Blair: Well see ya later Jo (Blair and Natalie leave)
(later that day Tootie is in the having lunch with some friends who are also in the play)
Stephanie: (walking up to tootie and Renee, she takes a seat next to Renee) Hi Tootie I bet you can't wait for opening night (stephanie opens up her lunch bag and begins to take out her food)
Renee: (has a huge smile on her face)Did you guys hear that Peter Stinberg's gonnea be in the audience opening night (the smile fades slightly as she takes a bite of her apple)
Tootie: (sounding really excited) Peter Stinberg your kidding
Stephanie: (sounding even more excited) Oh my gosh, somebody pinch me Peter Stinberg here at Eastland watching our play this is unbelievealbe (pauses for a moment and then the excitement quickly fades) who's Peter Stinberg
Tootie: (puts down her apple core on the side of her plate) Only the greatest casting direcor in New York, (sounding really excited) Finally a chance to really show off my acting talent
Mrs. Maldon: (walks up to the girls) Hi girls oh Tootie I need to talk to you can you stop by the drams room after lunch today.
Tootie: Sure no problem (she tries to sound excited, but she has a feeling she knows what there talk is going to be about (Mrs. Maldon heads over to her office and the girls look at Tootie)
Renee: Tootie is something wrong (she senses that something could be wrong)
Tootie: (trying not to sound disapointed) I'm not sure listen I"d better go over there and talk to her now (she picks up her stuff and goes over to the garbage can to toss away her her apple core, and some other things she then turns around and heads back to the table and picks her bag off the floor) By I"ll see you later (she heads over to Mrs. Maldon's office Stephanie and Renee continue to eat there lunch and talk about the play)
(tootie approaches the drama room, and enters the door. Mrs. Maldon is talking to another student.)
Mrs. Maldon: Oh good Tootie your hear (she spots tootie walking down towards the front)
Student; Thanks Mrs. Maldon I won't let you down (has a huge smile on a her face she turns around and passes Tootie on her way out) Oh hi tootie
Tootie: Hi Jessica (Jessica walks out the door and Tootie approches Mrs. Maldon) Hi Mrs. Maldon I can't believe that Peter Stinberg's gonnea be watching me opening night
Mrs. Maldon: That's what I wanted to talk to you (places her hand out towards a chair so she and tootie can sit down) about (She pauses for a moment) Jessica Smith is taking over your part
Tootie: (quickly stands up, and sounds dispointed but she knew it was coming) What why Mrs. Maldon I don't understand (tears start to fall from her face)
Mrs. Maldon: (she stands up and places her hand on tootie shoulder for support) I received a call from Mrs. Garrett about last night Tootie she told me what happened
Tootie: (She wipes some of the tears from her face with the back of her hand) Please Mrs. Maldon just give me one more chance
Mrs. Maldon: I'm sorry Tootie I wish I could (Tootie looks at Mrs. Maldon for a few more second then quickly turns around and heads towards the door)
(later that day Blair, Jo, and natalie are in the living room watching a program on tv Tootie enters the room and she's steamed)
Jo: I thought you were going to rehersale today (turning off the tv)
Tootie: (walks up to Jo and starts yelling at her) Look Jo I've had a hard enough day today I don't need you adding to do just keep your comments to yourself
Blair: Oh wait (souding a cheerful she gets off the couch and goes over to the hall closet, from inside the she gets a viedo camera off the floor. She then turns back to the others) would you girls mind doing that again I gotta get this on viedo somebody telling Jo off it's a beautiful thing (trying to sound like a director) ok now when I say action you start from the beginning (points her hand to Tootie so she can go back to the front door again) Tootie why don't you come in again, and will just get the whole thing from the top
Jo: (she starts walking towards the camera) hey wait a minute how about if we get this up close and personal (makes a fist right into the camera lens)
Blair: (quickly drops the camera to her side) maybe later (Tootie goes upstairs to change out of her uniform)
Mrs. Garrett: (Mrs. garrett enters the room from the shop) Oh good your hear Blair Jo you can take care of the customers. Natalie I need you in the kitchen making the corsintts, where's Tootie
Blair: she went upstairs
Jo: to get changed out of her uniform
Natalie: She should be right here
Mrs. Garrett: (gives a little smirk on her face to show that she's not to sure) somehow I'm not as convinced as the rest of you Mrs. Garrett goes upstairs to look for Tootie)
(natalie heads into the kitchen, and Blair and Jo walk into the shop Blair greets a customer)
Blair: Yes can I help you with anything
Women customer: I'm hear to pick up my spinah Keish
Blair: Oh yes I had your order in the kitchen I'll be right back (she heads into the kitchen just as Natalie comes out carrying a pan of pastries)
Jo: Um can I interest you in load of french bread (goes over to the counter where the bread is)
Women Customer: No thanks (turns her head towards the garlic bread) but I will take a load of garlic I'm making pasta for my husband tonight it's our 5th anniversary
Natalie: Well congralualations
Blair: Here you go (hands her the bread and keish) that will be 6 dollars please
Natalie: (goes over to the counter and pulls out a pastry) Listen since it's your anniversy have a pastery on the house (hands the customer a pastry)
Women customer: thank you (she smiles as she turns to leave)
Natalie: (she smiles at her self) isn't it great to see customers who are staifyed
Jo: (she's also smiling) it sure is (the smile quickly fades) by the way that's coming out of your paycheck
(tootie enters the room)
Tootie: Where's Mrs. Garrett
Blair: she went upstairs to look for you
Tootie: Oh I'll go and find her (starts to leave again Jo goes over to her)
Jo: No you'd better stay here she'll be back in a couple minutes
(mrs. Garrett enters the shop and starts yelling)
Mrs. Garrett: I don't believe it I just don't belive it why would she do something like this
Tootie: (walking up to Mrs. Garrett) Mrs. Garrett what's wrong
Mrs. Garrett: (turns to tootie then back to the others) Hi Tootie, it's tootie she isn't upstairs I knew she wouldn't come home (starts pacing the room) I just knew it I I (all of a sudden she stops pacing and turns to face Tootie) Tootie when did you come in the room
Tootie: a couple minutes ago Mrs. Garrett I thought all day about what you said last night I thought about how I would feel if you were ever late and I was sitting at home worrying about you Mrs. Garrett I'm sorry for the way I acted, and I'm sorry for the things I said (mrs. garrett smiles at her to show her that everything alright and they hug)
Mrs. Garrett: Tootie thank you now why don't you go and get started on the beds
Tootie: Sure you know it's to bad this isn't a tv show
Jo: What do you mean
Tootie: Well on a tv show a kid gets grounded by the next eposide there not grounded anymore
Blair: except on a soap opeara

Jo: I thought you were going to rehersale today (turning off the tv)
Tootie: (walks up to Jo and starts yelling at her) Look Jo I've had a hard enough day today I don't need you adding to do just keep your comments to yourself
Blair: Oh wait (souding a cheerful she gets off the couch and goes over to the hall closet, from inside the she gets a viedo camera off the floor. She then turns back to the others) would you girls mind doing that again I gotta get this on viedo somebody telling Jo off it's a beautiful thing (trying to sound like a director) ok now when I say action you start from the beginning (points her hand to Tootie so she can go back to the front door again) Tootie why don't you come in again, and will just get the whole thing from the top
Jo: (she starts walking towards the camera) hey wait a minute how about if we get this up close and personal (makes a fist right into the camera lens)
Blair: (quickly drops the camera to her side) maybe later (Tootie goes upstairs to change out of her uniform)
Mrs. Garrett: (Mrs. garrett enters the room from the shop) Oh good your hear Blair Jo you can take care of the customers. Natalie I need you in the kitchen making the corsintts, where's Tootie
Blair: she went upstairs
Jo: to get changed out of her uniform
Natalie: She should be right here
Mrs. Garrett: (gives a little smirk on her face to show that she's not to sure) somehow I'm not as convinced as the rest of you Mrs. Garrett goes upstairs to look for Tootie)
(natalie heads into the kitchen, and Blair and Jo walk into the shop Blair greets a customer)
Blair: Yes can I help you with anything
Women customer: I'm hear to pick up my spinah Keish
Blair: Oh yes I had your order in the kitchen I'll be right back (she heads into the kitchen just as Natalie comes out carrying a pan of pastries)
Jo: Um can I interest you in load of french bread (goes over to the counter where the bread is)
Women Customer: No thanks (turns her head towards the garlic bread) but I will take a load of garlic I'm making pasta for my husband tonight it's our 5th anniversary
Natalie: Well congralualations
Blair: Here you go (hands her the bread and keish) that will be 6 dollars please
Natalie: (goes over to the counter and pulls out a pastry) Listen since it's your anniversy have a pastery on the house (hands the customer a pastry)
Women customer: thank you (she smiles as she turns to leave)
Natalie: (she smiles at her self) isn't it great to see customers who are staifyed
Jo: (she's also smiling) it sure is (the smile quickly fades) by the way that's coming out of your paycheck
(tootie enters the room)
Tootie: Where's Mrs. Garrett
Blair: she went upstairs to look for you
Tootie: Oh I'll go and find her (starts to leave again Jo goes over to her)
Jo: No you'd better stay here she'll be back in a couple minutes
(mrs. Garrett enters the shop and starts yelling)
Mrs. Garrett: I don't believe it I just don't belive it why would she do something like this
Tootie: (walking up to Mrs. Garrett) Mrs. Garrett what's wrong
Mrs. Garrett: (turns to tootie then back to the others) Hi Tootie, it's tootie she isn't upstairs I knew she wouldn't come home (starts pacing the room) I just knew it I I (all of a sudden she stops pacing and turns to face Tootie) Tootie when did you come in the room
Tootie: a couple minutes ago Mrs. Garrett I thought all day about what you said last night I thought about how I would feel if you were ever late and I was sitting at home worrying about you Mrs. Garrett I'm sorry for the way I acted, and I'm sorry for the things I said (mrs. garrett smiles at her to show her that everything alright and they hug)
Mrs. Garrett: Tootie thank you now why don't you go and get started on the beds
Tootie: Sure you know it's to bad this isn't a tv show
Jo: What do you mean
Tootie: Well on a tv show a kid gets grounded by the next eposide there not grounded anymore
Blair: except on a soap opeara
