this is my new fanfic. and as many of you will probably notice, it is similar (but still very different from "far away from home" (my other fanfic) you see, this was my original idea, but i didn't know how to make it work, but now i know, so here it is! MG-(to herself) Oh, i just can't wait to see all my girls! i've missed them terribly. They must be all grown up, with families of their own. This is going to be a wonderful reunion. (smiles when she hears a knock on the door)

T- Mrs. Garett!

MG- Tootie! (hugs her) Jeff! (hugs him) Come in, come in! How are you both?

T- We're doing great, just yesterday was our 7th anniversary!

MG- oh, how wonderful! You both look great! What have you been up to?

T- well, i have been directing a few off-broadway shows, and Jeff acts in them!

MG- Well, that's wonderful, but what about football? you loved it!

Je- Well, i gave up football after i had to get knee surgery six years ago.

MG- oh, well i'm sorry jeff.

Je- don't worry about it! I think i like acting in Tootie's plays more than i ever liked football!

Lol, why is it that every reunion starts with Mrs. Garett saying either "Oh I miss the girls so much!" or "I can't wait to see them!" and Tootie is always the first one to come..

T- yeah, yeah, yeah well enough about us! What have you been doing Mrs.Garett?

MG- Not much actually, i have basicly been getting everything ready for the reunion for the past few days. Oh, by the way Bruce will not be here because he is away on business and Beverly Ann won't be able to make it because she couldn't get plane tickets to get here all the way from California this time of year.

T- oh really? too bad. But hey, at-least everyone else will be able to make it!

(Knock on the door)

MG- Natalie! (hugs) Snake! (hugs)it's wonderful to see you!

T- NAT!!!(runs over to her)

N- TOOTIE! (give eachother a big hug)

(Jeff and Snake go downstairs to watch TV)

(Another knock)

J- Mrs. G! (both hug)

MG- Jo! Ri..where's Rick?

J- oh, he's parking the car. he'll be in a couple of minutes. Mrs. G, i'd like you meet Alexz...she's 12.

A- (shakes hands with Mrs. Garett) Nice to meetcha Mrs. G! I've heard lots about ya!

MG- jo, she's adorable!

A- Excuse me?

J- Alexz, be nice. Sorry Mrs. G she doesn't like to be called...adorable if you know what i mean.

T- (clears throat)

J- Tootie? Tootie! hey! sorry! i didn't see ya there! how ya doin'?(hugs her) and Nat! (hugs her) I've missed you both so much!

N- We've missed you too.

J- Hey Al come here! i want you to meet my friends Natalie and Tootie.

A- hi. Nice to meetcha both. (smiles)

N- the pleasure is ours.

A- uhh...okay...thanks i guess. (looks confused)

J- it's nothin personal...when you live in the Bronx like we do, you usually don't hear all the polite comments.

(all laugh a little)

(Rick walks in)

MG- hey rick!

R- hey Mrs. Garett! long time no see! Natalie, Tootie, nice to see you all too!

J- The guys are downstairs.

R- then i guess i'll be going!

MG- oh, jo! i would have liked to talk to him a little bit.

J- he's a comedian in the bronx. think about it, how do you think is? (says like he's kind of angry)

MG- well, I..

J- he's fine, his work's suffering but that's nothing because I am a cop in the Bronx, and so obviously my work isn't suffering.

(Knock on the door)

(Blair, Blaine, and Rachel (12) walk in)

(all hug)

more in a sec!

MG- well, what have both of you been up to?

B- well, i'm pretty much just a stay at home mom with Rachel. But, i really love it...i used to be a fahion executive but i found that just staying with Rachel is much more important.

Bl- i agree with her on that one, i'm a lawyer and don't get to be with Rachel very much so, Blair here kind of needs to be there with Rachel.

MG- well then, we are all very glad that you were able to take time off to be with us!

Bl- hey, don't mention it! i just have one request..ya see there's a Giant game on and

MG- (interupts him) downstairs.

Bl- hey thanks! (goes downstairs)

B- Rachel, why don't you and Alexz go get to know eachother in my old room. Up the stairs first door to the right. (smiles)

Ra- Well, alright, so...Alexz is it? have you ever seen that model for Calvin Klein? He is sooooo gorgeous!

A- I'm personally into Harley Davidson myself.

Ra- oh, don't tell me you like THAT kind-of stuff! why can't you be...

(voices fade off)

(everyone keeps talking until the football game ends and all the men come upstairs)

Je- man! what a great game! you all should've seen it!(sits down next to Tootie)

T- oh ,ya i'm sure.

Bl- it really was an exciting game! You woulda loved it blair!

S- i actually thought it was kind of boring.

(all look at Snake)

S- what can i say i'm a baseball fan!

(all sit down and talk some more)

B- (notices that jo and rick havn't said one word to eachother the whole time) Jo?

J- ya?

B- can i talk to you in the kitchen for a minute?

J- o, sure. (both go into kitchen)

((((in the kitchen))))

B- Jo, is something going on between you and rick?

J- what? oh, no way everything is going just fine! what would give you the idea that something was wrong between us? (says all this very fast)

B- well, it's just that you both seem to be staying away from eachother.

J- oh, well everything's just fine. (says unsurely)

B- alright, but rememeber i'm here if you need to talk to anyone.

J- yeah, i know....

(((THE NEXT MORNING)))

A- (comes downstairs in the early morning (everybody except Blair is still asleep) and goes into kitchen where Blair is)

B- well, you're up pretty early this morning!Rachel can sleep until 3:00 in the afternoon!

A- yeah, well i'm a morning person.

B-i'm usually not, i just happened to wake up exceptionally early this morning.

A- uhh..Blair...i mean Mrs. Stevens.

B- Call me Blair.

A- uhh..okay Blair can I ask you something.

B- (kind of surprised) Of-course, here (goes moves over) sit down.

A-(sits down next to Blair) okay, well you know my mom really well right?

B- yes, that's right.

A- and you sort-of know my dad right?

B- yes...

A- well then, (hesitates) do you know why they fight so much?

B- (to herself) I knew something wasn't right. what do you mean by fight?

A- I mean, yell and scream at eachother almost everynight, sleep in seperate rooms...ya know fight!

B- it's really that bad?

A- uhh..yeah.

B- well, Alexz i'm sorry but no, i don't know why they fight so much. i mean, your mom never even mentioned to me that she wasn't getting along well with your dad.

A- really? o, sorry i figured she would, i mean you are her best friend so...

B- Alexz, now let me ask you something.

A- ummm...okay.

B- have you ever talked to your mom and dad about this problem?

A- are you joking me? i would never do that! i might get grounded for asking such a question!

B- really?

A- well maybe not grounded, but my mom really doesn't like to talk about serious stuff, so i wouldn't bring it up.

B- Alexz, would you like me to talk to your mom? i have ways of talking to her.

A- you'd do that?

B- of-course i would!

A- wow! thanks so much! (smiles and starts to leave the kitchen)

B- you're welcome.

A-(turns around) no...really...thanks. (walks out)

B-(smiles)

B- huh what? oh sorry...i was just looking at something.

Ra- okay, well whatever where did you pack the hairspray? my curls are coming loose.

B- oh, it's up-stairs in the train case. second compartment.

Ra- thanks! (runs up-stairs)

B- (walks over to Blaine) I love you.

Bl- (smiles) well that was random! i..love you too.

(in the kitchen)

(jo and alexz have been talking a little bit)

J- i still don't understand why you never talked to me about something that upset you so much!

A- i already told you, i thought you'd get mad.

J- alright, anyway al, listen to me. your dad and i have just been well, taking out our anger on eachother, you know how that feels right?

A- i guess so.

J- right. however, we are going to try and be better from now on. how does that sound?

A- sounds great! but, it will never happen.

J- (looks kind of shocked) excuse me?

A- look, no offense or anything but i think it would be a better idea if you just...

J- just what?

A- as much as i hate to say this i really think it would be better if you both just..(hesitates)got a (hesitates again) divorce.

J- (shocked) you want us to get a divorce?

A- of-course i don't want you to! i just think that it would be the best for both of you. (sees that her mom looks as if she is about to cry) I'm sorry. (walks out)
