Scoobiedoo30 08-11-2007, 03:38 PM I know they still have Friday, Blog up TJ 08-11-2007, 04:09 PM The FTP wasn't publishing it. It should be up now. Scoobiedoo30 08-11-2007, 04:13 PM what is FTP JulieSomoski 08-11-2007, 05:06 PM Can we begin posting about the rant? Anyways, good rant, Solomon! The only problme I had was you were a little too focused on FOX. There are other channels that do the same thing. NAN, for instance would change the weekend schedule, and not tell us about it until the day before. So, that day, I did not get a chance to go on the internet, and when I turned to NAN, I saw a Fresh Prince marathon instead of the normal schedule! But, that's just one example. I really loved the turn the channel moment of the week. I would have to agree that that was the exact moment. I was watching that episode in the morning, and I was just thinking "how dumb can you get?" TVFactFan 08-11-2007, 05:12 PM Can we begin posting about the rant? Anyways, good rant, Solomon! What I try to do is make the rant a GENERAL discussion and allow everyone to relate to the topic I'm ranting about rather than just making it about me. Thats why I started the rant off with a question so that someone can share simlar experiences with another TV station doing the same thing. The Fox subject was what went through and was basically open to hearing if anyone else experienced this with another network. The Fox subject was what went through and was basically open to hearing if anyone else experienced this with another network. And, I told you about my experience with this happening, so I see your point in wanting everyone to relate ;) Janice 08-11-2007, 05:25 PM Good rant Solomon, but I agree, it's not just Fox that does it. Also, I watch Fox News, and they don't pull any last minute switches that I'm aware of. I know their lineup like the back of my hand. I know you're not political Solomon. Who's your editor, lol. Nick and TV Land are the worst offenders ever. They have no respect for their viewers. Mr. Television 08-11-2007, 05:29 PM The Fox network has done that to me before. I've sat down to watch a show only to discover it's been replaced by an AI special. TVFactFan 08-11-2007, 05:30 PM Good rant Solomon, but I agree, it's not just Fox that does it. Nick and TV Land are the worst offenders ever. They have no respect for their viewers. I know more stations do it, but it maybe a station I don't watch which is why I was open to hearing if anyone else on the board is going through the same thing with another station. I watch one show on FOXNEWS, "the Oreilly Factor" tbswatcher 08-11-2007, 05:52 PM I've had this trouble with NAN I hate it. Also, It happens a few times on the Disney Channel. TVFactFan 08-11-2007, 05:54 PM I've had this trouble with NAN I hate it. Also, It happens a few times on the Disney Channel. How bout TBS?-lol tbswatcher 08-11-2007, 06:04 PM How bout TBS?-lolU mean with Baseball Games. TVFactFan 08-11-2007, 06:06 PM U mean with Baseball Games. Besides the Baseball games Janice 08-11-2007, 06:08 PM I can't tell you how frustrated I've been at times when I tune into Nick. I'm all ready for 12 consecutive episodes of Fresh Prince, and INSTEAD, I get 12 consecutive episodes of Roseanne or The Cosby Show. TVFactFan 08-11-2007, 06:15 PM I can't tell you how frustrated I've been at times when I tune into Nick. I'm all ready for 12 consecutive episodes of Fresh Prince, and INSTEAD, I get 12 consecutive episodes of Roseanne or The Cosby Show. Roseanne Week on N@N forced me to pull out my Emergency Tapes-lol Janice 08-11-2007, 06:28 PM Roseanne Week on N@N forced me to pull out my Emergency Tapes-lol  You kill me sometimes, Solomon. JulieSomoski 08-11-2007, 07:45 PM  You kill me sometimes, Solomon. Don't worry, I'll be saying the same thing with the 2 consecuitve Fresh Prince marathons in 2 weeks :D Ireneparalegal 08-11-2007, 10:51 PM But is the problem with the station or with the cable provider and their GUIDE INFORMATION? I mean, are you referring solely to the cable guide information or are you using a TV Guide and station websites to find out what is going to show? I have learned that the guide information cannot be relied upon. So, is that the cable provider's mistake or the station that is making changes at the last minute? BTW Solomon, I agree, I don't want to know that Kelly Ripa DOES NOT wear underwear. Tell me it is John Travolta who doesn't wear underwear and I am ALL EARS!!!!!:D  Buffyboy323 08-11-2007, 10:59 PM Don't worry, I'll be saying the same thing with the 2 consecuitve Fresh Prince marathons in 2 weeks :D I hear ya. OH GOD I hear ya! Are they really going to have 2 weeks of Fresh Prince coming up??? Tell me it is John Travolta who doesn't wear underwear and I am ALL EARS!!!!!:D  Kelly wasn't saying she doesn't wear underwear, she was saying that it was just that one day-lol STIll TMI And Comcast Cable Guide is always updated and not only that, when I discovered I recorded something else, I fast forwarded to the follwing day on the comcast guide and saw that it was a new FXR schedule. Buffyboy323 08-11-2007, 11:16 PM Besides the Baseball games I *think* I know what you mean....Do you mean when you, or someone else, is getting ready to watch Friends or Seinfeld, then all of a sudden you hear the Sex and The City or Everybody Loves Raymond theme songs playing? Nick at Nite, FX, TNT, TBS, and apparently that FOX channel, all seem to throw any show on, without actually having it in that timeslot, daily. That REALLY annoys me. friendsfan77 08-11-2007, 11:23 PM GSN is a big culprit of "musical timeslots" too. Instead of dusting off a show or two from the vault, they just flip-flop shows during their recent schedule changes. It's happened three times already. Like for the previous schedule change, they took off two shows and re-acquired the rights to another. That was one thing. But it didn't make sense at all to basically change the time for damn near every show on their daytime schedule. Right now their schedule looks like they just picked every show out of a hat and put it on the line-up. Janice 08-11-2007, 11:47 PM Don't worry, I'll be saying the same thing with the 2 consecuitve Fresh Prince marathons in 2 weeks :D The sad part for me is that I love all three shows, Roseanne, Fresh Prince and The Cosby Show, but enough is enough. I'm starting to recite the dialog in my mind while watching these shows, lol. Ireneparalegal 08-12-2007, 01:13 AM I hear ya. OH GOD I hear ya! Are they really going to have 2 weeks of Fresh Prince coming up??? :faint: Oh God, gimme Roseanne or Cosby Show anytime, but no more FP crap!!!!!!! TVFactFan 08-12-2007, 01:17 AM :faint: Oh God, gimme Roseanne or Cosby Show anytime, but no more FP crap!!!!!!! TV land has the Magical Overnight Schedule tonight, 1am-Three's Company 1:30am-Three's Company 2am-Three's Company 2:30am-Jeffersons 3am-Good Times 3:30am-Good Times 4am-Sanford and Son 4:30am-All in the Family NICE!! friendsfan77 08-12-2007, 02:05 AM The sad part for me is that I love all three shows, Roseanne, Fresh Prince and The Cosby Show, but enough is enough. JulieSomoski 08-12-2007, 12:54 PM I agree. I love those shows too. They just take all the fun out of it with the constant rerun abuse. I'm hoping to god the same thing doesn't happen with Home Improvement. Cactus Jack 08-14-2007, 10:33 PM Awesome rant, and that's happened to me plenty o'times! Well, a few maybe. TVFactFan 08-14-2007, 10:51 PM Awesome rant, and that's happened to me plenty o'times! Well, a few maybe. Fox Reality almost got me again his week-lol Something said check the morning schedule on Monday and I saw that instead of showing a hour of blind date and extreme dating, they showed a marathon of So you think you can dance? Just checked the schedule for tomorrow and it's back to the regular schedule. Musical Timeslots Ireneparalegal 08-15-2007, 12:40 AM TV land has the Magical Overnight Schedule tonight, 1am-Three's Company 1:30am-Three's Company 2am-Three's Company 2:30am-Jeffersons 3am-Good Times 3:30am-Good Times 4am-Sanford and Son 4:30am-All in the Family NICE!! It is nice. I love me my George Jefferson. I will take Jeffersons over Roseanne or Cosby simply because I can see those shows anytime on different channels, but Jeffersons, who knows how long it will be on TVland before it gets the 4 a.m. hour or taken off altogether.
