Another one of my favorite educators is Sandra Sue "Abby" Abbott of Eight Is Enough. It seemed like Abby had a heart for the students she was teaching and/or tutoring.

mr peepers from tv comedy (mr peepers),also,wally gave a great performance in the movie (spencers mountain...the waltons from same writer).seems he was teh schoolmaster or minister...the homecoming xmas movie reminded me of home without a xmas tree.

I'd vote for Miss Landers.

I noticed someone back in 2007 voted for Emily Hartley. I don't think we ever saw her in the classroom--of course, the show wasn't about her.

another all time fave was mr novak (tv series).james franciscus was mr novak.....the basketball coach/teacher (?) on white shadow (a mtm production/mary t moore) show.the show had many current issues in episodes similar to lou grant tv show (mtm show) about n paper editor and lady /owner (?)publsiher.
