View Full Version : Weekend Chat! Janice 08-10-2007, 12:39 PM Happy Weekend Everyone! What are your weekend plans? PZelda 08-10-2007, 01:28 PM I have no idea yet... I feel like **** today, though. Just not feeling very well... Think I'll lay in bed and have myself a Cheers marathon (I started this last month - I'm almost halfway thru the 3rd season DVD set now). Not sure about this coming weekend. I'll be turning 22 on Thursday, and I want to go do something in Minneapolis for my birthday... so I'll be thinking about that this weekend too. RoryGilmore 08-10-2007, 03:37 PM Tomorrow my mom wants the 3 of us to go to one of her co-workers b-day dinners idk if we're going yet, and Sunday she and some co-workers are going shopping for some training and I'm staying home enjoying a day of my last weekend of my summer vacation. Courtnee 08-10-2007, 04:22 PM My parents are taking me out today. :D coffield3 08-10-2007, 04:36 PM Went tennis earlier ive got the weekend off yay!!:happyface Already Gone 08-10-2007, 06:16 PM Don't know yet, I don't feel well either so i'll just rest alot this weekend. I may go swimming on Sunday if I'm feeling better. Ireneparalegal 08-10-2007, 11:10 PM Ok this thread would be packed with replies by this time...what is going on people????? Today I did a lot of errands. I am going to the beach tomorrow. Taking my son and hanging out with my best friend and her little boy. Brian Damage 08-10-2007, 11:15 PM Absolutely NOTHING! And I Love It! Janice 08-10-2007, 11:24 PM I bought one of those home blood pressure monitor machines for my husband. He has high blood pressure, and takes a pill. He took his, and the numbers were great. I figured I'd take mine. I don't know what the heck I did, but according to my numbers, which were a million over two million, I should have been dead. It turns out I had the cuff in the wrong direction, not far up or snug enough. I also had a clenched fist, and you can't have any pressure in your left arm. After almost having a heart attack, I calmed down, and did the test again, and it was fine. I'm an idiot, lol. At least you and Lou are in good shape. Janice 08-10-2007, 11:32 PM  You are not an idiot, who the heck knows how to work those things? A normal reading is 60 to 100. Mine was 185. It was a mess, I was a mess. Nice machine though. It was $70 at CVS, on sale for $60. I had a $10 coupon off all purchases of $50 or more, plus $30 in Extra Care dollars I've been saving. For a $70 machine, I shelled out only 20 bucks! It also has an irregular heart monitor. If that ever shows up, I'm jumping out the window. It has a handy carrying bag. Looks like a small bowling bag. Ireneparalegal 08-10-2007, 11:47 PM To make matters worse, it also has a reading for heart pulse rate. A normal reading is 60 to 100. Mine was 185. Ireneparalegal 08-10-2007, 11:57 PM Ultrasound on your eyes??????????? That's a first. I never heard of such a thing. I am sorry for how you are feeling. I think you should reschedule the dentist appt. Janice 08-11-2007, 12:12 AM Sounds like you hit gold with that purchase! Tell me something, I have that CVS thingy too. What and how does that extra care dollars work? You have to use your Extra Care card everytime you make a purchase. I have it on my keyring. You get so much % on purchases, 1 or 2 dollars for each prescription. Every three months, on the bottom of your coupon, you get your savings. The last time I got $28.50. Additionally, I read their Sunday circular cover to cover. Last week, they had a special where if you spent $20 on everything on that page, you would get $20 back in Extra Care dollars, which is a coupon that's printed out with your receipt. I make a KILLING at CVS. A couple of weeks ago, I got $55 worth of merchandise for $12. I have it down to a science. If I get a BOGO, and have a coupon for the one I'm paying for, it's a score. Lou tells me that I should wear a stocking over my head when I go, like a robbery. Ireneparalegal 08-11-2007, 12:23 AM You have to use your Extra Care card everytime you make a purchase. I don't go into CVS as much as I used to when it was Sav-On. But still, today I went to pick up my daughter's prescription and I purchase my Loreal make-up there. They have some great sales on the expensive make-up. I really need to go check that receipt. I hope I didn't throw it away...*irene fumbling through her purse* catlover79 08-11-2007, 01:03 AM I'm planning on making a scrapbook of my recent vacation. Also, this weekend is both my dad's and brother's birthday, so the family will probably go out to dinner someplace to celebrate. PZelda 08-11-2007, 02:09 AM Okay, I think I'm going to be going into downtown Minneapolis tomorrow (Sunday) to celebrate my birthday early... so that should be fun. :) freshprinceofLA 08-11-2007, 02:45 AM My weekend has had a pretty good start with the exception of summer school! After summer school at around 5 or so went down to the mall and bought a couple of late b-day presents a pair of jordans, 8 simple rules season 1 and Carlitos Way (the pacino movie). Tomorrow nothing really special planned just relaxing 1 more week of summer school left enjoy the weekend:wave:  :) Brieannas21 08-11-2007, 12:46 PM My brother-in-law and his wife are visiting this weekend and they're staying with us. So today we're having a BBQ/Pool Party with only family. Sunday we're going to church as usual and then over to my in-laws for dinner. Janice 08-11-2007, 04:10 PM I went to my dentist appointment. I was really nervous. The appointment went fine, which I'm thanful for. :) No cavities! :) I'm also feeling better compared to yesterday. That's really good news Jenny. I'm glad you're feeling better. I've noticed that whenever I really stress over something, it usually turns out not nearly as bad as I anticipated. Good luck with your eye doctor's visit soon. :) Corolla 08-11-2007, 04:14 PM Okay, I think I'm going to be going into downtown Minneapolis tomorrow (Sunday) to celebrate my birthday early... so that should be fun. :) Happy almost birthday! Courtnee 08-11-2007, 04:51 PM I got invited to a friends birthday party tommorrow. and I'll see Paul there. yayness. Corolla 08-11-2007, 04:53 PM I'm bored to the point where bored doesn't describe how much I'm bored. Number 9 Dream 08-12-2007, 01:28 AM Well, I didn't do much this weekend (worked, as usual...what's new?) After work, however, I met up with a girl I haven't seen in YEARS. She was one of my good friends in high school (actually, pretty much my best friend before we grew apart and she got in to drugs and stuff), but she moved to Florida and we sorta lost contact. Turns out she was in town for a few weeks, so she gave me a call and I drove over to her sister's house to meet up with her. She looks good (she's a recovering addict now, thank god...I'm glad she's off of that stuff), but I just don't feel the same connection as I did with her in high school). I guess too much has changed. It's sort of bittersweet for me, kinda like closure. It was good to see her, though (I left early because I thought she was trying to use me to drive her over to another town to see a guy, so I pretty much high-tailed it out of there). She invited me to go Upstate with her for the day tomorrow, but I declined. So, I'm pretty much doing nothing tomorrow :D I might write for a little bit, then call a friend to see if they want to do something small. Fleet 08-12-2007, 01:50 AM I will be out in the backyard late tonight and tomorrow night watching the asteroids. The annual August meteor shower. :) Ireneparalegal 08-12-2007, 02:21 PM I got invited to a friends birthday party tommorrow. and I'll see Paul there. yayness. Say "Hi" to Paul for me. :D Well, another lovely day. So again to the beach we go in abt an hour. |
