HELLO ALL: Just got some more info from my friend in hollywood & the informed that there has been alot of bickering back & forth in the last week regarding the set for season 36. It was decided a few weeks back that they were going to go ahead and make some radical changes to the set. Apparently once cooler heads prevailed & they all sat down to discuss things, & then got Drew Careys opinion on things it was determined that they are going to for the most part leave things the same. The set has been rebuilt & is now more mobile so they can take the show on the road but it still has the " price look & feel" The doors will be a bit different but that is not a big deal at all. I am being told Drew will be using a long skinny microphone just Like Bob used, only difference is it will be a wireless microphone. The Theme music is being put into full stereo but I am being assured that it will be the SAME EXACT THEME!!

The tapings for season 36 will begin on Wed August 15th. Drew will be flying back to LA on Friday & will be going thru full rehearsals starting this sunday & monday to get ready for the beginning of the production for season 36.

As I reported earlier the " season premiere " episode " will not be taped on August 15th. For the first part of the season the shows will not air in the order they are taped. This is not totally uncommon for price is right, in fact it happened just last year for season 35.

It is my understanding that they fully expect to begin airing new shows for season 36 on time on either Sept 17th or sept 24th. This is still subject to change but that is their hope. Once I get the plan I will let u all know. I will be on vacation next week so when I get back I will have a ton of info for you all on the show since the tapings begin next week ;)

I'd appreciate it, and I'm glad music and set design are staying the same. They are definitely a huge part of the Price is Right.

i'm so glad that Set and Music will remain the same, that's the Price is Right tradition, and Bob Barker would had wanted it that way.

Yes I agree, having a totally redone set would really s*ck!! Fortunately it does not appear that all that much is changing, but keep in mind the crew & drew will be at work beginning tomorrow going thru full rehearsals getting ready for the start of production. Although it is unlikely there is still an outside chance something may change, but everything looks like it is a go for wed!!! I will let you all know when I get back from vacation!!!

At the very least, I am sure it would be ok to describe the set.

I can't take that risk that someone will post them somewhere.. I have gotten screwed in the past. I emailed pictures of the 30th season premiere rehearsal as well as the prime time special in vegas that I took to a " friend" & next thing I knew, they were all over the net. If I get permission to post them its not a big deal but as of now..it hasn't been granted

See that's what I don't understand. Why leave the set the same if a new era is starting? Drew is going to look like a Permanent Guest Host-lol

It will not be exactly the same, but it will have a " price look & feel to it" in other words they are keeping the retro look to it, but it will not be exactly the same.
