Maybe 5-6 years ago Black & Decker 'borrowed' the Chef of the Future scene for a gadget that did several tasks? I think I saw it once or twice, but never again...and I'd always wondered if someone from Jackie's family or maybe Art had something to do with it being yanked?

I do remember a commercial like that airing a decade ago. But it wasn't Black & Decker . It was Braun. I remember what was said during the last seconds of the commercial.
Ralph: "Boy, this is going to be big Norton."
Ed: "Yeah Ralph. Bigger than your pants."

Well, it had be a long time since I saw it -- I didn't know exactly when it aired, so I was guessing as I wasn't 100% sure about the product. But I do know it didn't last long. Why is it some of the annoying commercials never go away, but something that you'd look forward to -- like that, disappear in an inkling...?

You said it, I can't wait till the day we can stop applying head on directly to the forehead about 3+ times in a row.

They did use part of the "Chef of The Future" scene from the episode: "Better Living Through TV." The only thing is that they super-imposed thier products into that scene as well as used B&W footage of someone using it.
