It was a very cute 2-part episode, but he never appeared again, did he?

Those two eventually married, but then later on Eddie was killed by the zamboni (sp?) machine. Also, Carla found out that Eddie had another lady on the side who he impregnated.

Jay Thomas is a radio DJ, who was working on a local Los Angeles station and he can now be heard on Sirius Satellite radio.

Eddie appeared in a handful of episodes, I always hated the character but, more for the casting than anything else. Jay Thomas was NOT in ANY way a French-Canadian ( Which I AM ) and listening to him attempt to speak French in the marriage episode was extremely PAINFUL , with that thick Bronx accent that he has! Just about anyone would have been a better choice to play Eddie Lebeq!!!

I agree the Eddie story-line was dumb and I am glad they wrote him out. He was boring as hell, not the least bit funny and didn't match well with Carla.

So apparently, he went back to his roots. He was a DJ before he started his "acting" career.

I agree. I never believed Jay Thomas as a French Canadian, or even as just a Canadian, or as a hockey player. That Bronx accent was a dead give away. They should have cast someone else in the role.

I kinda liked Eddie, to be honest.
